@Cyberknow20 Just rang #OPTUS re them overcharging my last bill and all the poor operator could say was, please call us back in a few hours as we can't access the network atm. Pity we can't just call the hackers who it seems know more than Optus

  • nellophonic Neil Brennan 🌊 (@nellophonic) reported

@AnnaH5067 @Banana16Eric @JustJul77588855 The pleb responsible for this is the CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, already blaming some poor employee for her complete failure to set up adequate security processes in her company. She needs to stand down, and Optus needs to offer financial reparations to all affected. #auspol

@nickbonyhady @Optus I'm an Optus customer & I am completely disgusted with yet another failure from Optus. I will be contacting the Federal Government asking them to seriously consider cancelling Optus's common carrier licence. This cybersecurity lapse is inexcusible ....

  • FKhnopff Ferdie Khnopff (@FKhnopff) reported

@just_brash @Optus Customers? What have customers got to do with this? This is about trying to work out who is going to take the fall? Being a woman, Ms Bayer Rosmarin is in serious trouble. The harder questions will be asked in risk/compliance. You're on your own I'm afraid.

  • Aiydee Dave Aked (@Aiydee) reported

If Optus notifies that your birth certificate, passport or drivers license details have been stolen you CAN get the number changed to assist in id protection. If notified, please contact the relevant agencies and REQUEST a new number to help protect you against identity theft.

@Asher_Wolf Amaysim uses the Optus network too, does anyone know if other Telco carriers are effected?

  • DamoSC Damo (@DamoSC) reported

I no longer want to be an @Optus customer.

  • bigdecision88 whygrowold (@bigdecision88) reported

@JayJay91341991 What action ? That Optus like all other corporations cut costs until something bad happens and then they try and fix it. Next will sadly be a plane from a former flag carrier

  • AUSFestivus Interested in everything all of the time (@AUSFestivus) reported

Has anyone done the segue from Optus data leak to Government owned and operated online identity verification service yet?

  • AndydeBoeck1 Andy de Boeck (@AndydeBoeck1) reported

@TheShovel The data set stolen from optus was disappointing for the thieves because they stole Gladys 's memories only. Poor thieves getting confused thoughts like that.
