@corduroy @Optus Last year Telstra was the same man. They just have no clue about customer service.

@Banana16Eric @TheShovel It’s horrible what has happened & mind blowing in the lack of accountability. We are told to be vigilant, I would have thought that was Optus job. Developers back doors, huh! & we the people, once again, are left fending for ourselves, unbelievable.

@JaiRitter3 @TheShovel I mean the first message had optus passing the fix over to relevant state avenues. @Optus did have a duty of care to send the follow up text. To ensure there was not a rush to replace ID with the businesses not prepared.

@cheryl_kernot Just tried to get help through the app as to exactly what docs were hacked. Their solution -to join up to what I believe may be an Optus company Equifax – requiring me to provide whole lot of identity documents. The ultimate in satire. Optus may be losing me as a customer.

@Gergyl So AFP are going to spent allot of time & money implement totally useless mitigation that will do very little to protect the customers in the breach, but not focus any effort into Optus, the cause of the damage!?

@joshgnosis Sorry from Optus means nothing.... i recently changed from Optus to Telstra after over 40yrs with Optus because i had no service for 4 weeks no nbn for 4 weeks and couldn't get anyone o/s to understand that this was unacceptable

@pings @strixau_ it’s not just optus tho. it’s google aswell. (there may be some other big companies getting their **** breached but i can’t remember off the top of my head?)

@animoller @Optus I used their chat service. But I didn't do it through the app so I wasn't "verified" (now they worry about data protection) and they were useless. Finally used the chat through the app and got the info I needed. Talking to others it seems to be hit and miss depending who you get.
