@ClareONeilMP @AlboMP i hope you investigate why Optus are keeping previous virgin mobile customer data when the telco ceased year 2020

@RiddelCath @VictorDominello Agree. The card number hasn’t been compromised anyway. Optus didn’t retain it. So it’s a useless solution to change something the hackers don’t have.

@MishStephenson @Optus Yep. Australia needs to head down the route of GDPR. And allow customers to be forgotten.

@VictorDominello Also I’m no longer an Optus customer - so will they reimburse me?! They gave away my details and seem to be confused about whether they care or not as I can’t get a clear answer out of anyone.

@optus I was with you as a customer up until 6 months ago, can you reassure me that I’m not affected by this security breach.

@noplaceforsheep Federal government should be paying because they caused the problem by requiring 100 points of ID to get a ******* telephone service! Just wait, it won't be just Optus.

Not surprised by Optus's crap response to the data breach. Rang them a month ago to report someone had hijacked my phone number to spam-call people. Person at their call centre didn't know what to do, and when I pressed, gave me the wrong email address to report it.

@Breezybaby1811 @noplaceforsheep I took Optus complaint to the Ombudsman a few years ago. Hopefully Optus deleted me as I did them. Oh yes I got my money back.

@StGeorgeBank I'm a customer of 30yrs who is affected by Optus data breach. Just spent 35 mins I don't have being put on & off hold by yr person who had no idea when I asked for a Security Keyword for my acct. I hung up without being helped. Disgusted.

@VickiPlatt5 @norfer40 Agree. Any fix for this should be paid solely by Optus. My understanding is Optus is footing the bill licenses in Vic and Nsw at least. ( not sure on other states)
