Optus Issues Reports Near San Remo, State of Victoria

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in San Remo and nearby locations:

  • Shuttlecock Brad Stephenson☕️ (@Shuttlecock) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AboutIndia My apartment building can't get the NBN even though our street has it. Cancelled the wired internet service a few months back because it was so slow and switched to Optus 5G broadband. Literally 2 blocks from 2 different 5G towers but modem just disconnects.

  • Shuttlecock Brad Stephenson☕️ (@Shuttlecock) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I'm going to look into switching to @Telstra 's 5G next week Been using @Optus for a few months now and it never gets 5G (despite me being close to a tower) and the 4G completely turns off 2-4 times a day every day requiring constant modem reboots Support never gets back to me

  • bthomps22 Bruce T (@bthomps22) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia So can I regard this maintenance as essential or is it non-essential but not limited? Optus says it is to get more customers into the network. And you can’t do it overnight or at the weekend?

  • lux_cobalt Fox 🌙 1/2 vaxxed! (@lux_cobalt) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Bruh. Still down on my end.. an entire week later.

  • bearlen Allen Foo (@bearlen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Thanks. Looks like an issue with th optus tower. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

  • shiraj_sen Shiraj Sen (@shiraj_sen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @Optus massive internet issues along with your router. Promised some things by your resolution team, but no communication for five days. What the Optus!! .... Maybe time for the TIO step in? #optusfail

  • llament 💧💧 Llewellyn Griffiths (@llament) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus I am an Optus customer. The caller didn't claim to be from Optus. Since I recently received a couple of text messages from Optus regarding NBN maintenance in my area it seemed unlikely that they would be followed by a threat to terminate my connection

  • bearlen Allen Foo (@bearlen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus any 4G or mobile broadband outages in Melbourne? Both terribly slow tonight!

  • JeromeKhalaf CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE💙 (@JeromeKhalaf) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • Shuttlecock Brad Stephenson☕️ (@Shuttlecock) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus @Telstra Sorry. Have been doing this dance with literally at least 20 different support personnel for the past 3 months now. Not doing this conversation again.

  • SumiWumi Sumi (@SumiWumi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Hi Meg I do have access to Back up but that’s besides the point how is it that it’s happening so often and nothing gets reflected on our monthly charges ! Very disappointed and your apology doesn’t help as I have to reset the modem every 2 hours

  • Shuttlecock Brad Stephenson☕️ (@Shuttlecock) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

This plus the 3 weeks of delays in getting the modem, the basic billing errors, signing me up for Fetch without my permission, and the customer support cases that go nowhere or are just randomly terminated... First time with Optus and honestly never again. Do not recommend.

  • Aussie_ChrisC Aussie Chris 🇦🇺🐯🏆 (@Aussie_ChrisC) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Since 1st of July network maintenance, our home internet is now 50% slower

  • EmJaeCaer Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ClaireOCE @pironious Exact same time frame. Grab a VPN service, home it to Sydney, tell me if it clears up. When Legacy house had Optus from sponsor deal we had client issues a few times. Just had to bypass Optus ****** internal routing.

  • SuzieDamjanovic SUZIE DAMJANOVIC (@SuzieDamjanovic) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • lux_cobalt Fox 🌙 1/2 vaxxed! (@lux_cobalt) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Oh come off it I didn’t not just check again and now have an update - a tower down in Melbourne (the 16th is another week away).. but in my suburb apparently all is well? Welp. Tell him he’s dreamin’

  • TheOnlyLongy Longy (@TheOnlyLongy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@M_1tch I reckon on a larger ground such as Optus cats will fall apart again, Dee's no issue. Will be a open finals series for sure.

  • TheOnlyLongy Longy (@TheOnlyLongy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Kristin542 @maggiepies2010 It's their system, it can't handle the traffic.. as expected like every online live sports platform. They all fail.. same itg Optus Sport with the World Cup, Stan all year with the Rugby.. they just aren't up to it.
