    @newscomauHQ I haven’t been a customer of Optus in more than a decade, yet I just received an email from them stating that my personal details have been accessed by hackers 🤬 Shouldn’t there be a statue of limitations on how long they can hold onto customer data? And why isn’t it decrypted?

    @ClareONeilMP How about you penalise companies for being sloppy...my data was breached with service NSW...now I have to add the Optus breach..both were careless with my ID..#cybersecurity

    I don't think I ever gave Optus any info. I was with Virgin until Optus took over. Just stayed with them paying month to month. I never joined an Optus plan

    @Optus you have sent a generic email saying my personal data is exposed which may include drivers license and passport nbrs, your support on messenger cannot confirm that, what kind of support are you guys running? last 30 mins your support is parroting std generic message!

    @CooperCodes @sassycarrie @Optus Just read the email. They claim to have shut it down immediately upon finding the breach. This screams either a lie or terrible cyber sec. Either way I'm glad I moved

    I love how @optus send me a gushing email describing me as a ‘victim’ of their cyberattack exposing all my details as a former customer. Firstly why were you holding onto my details 3 years after I gave you the heave for a lousy product and 2nd, why is it no reply email?

    @kcarruthers As a recipient of the Optus ‘your data has been compromised” letter, there is an apology but no follow up advice. Very poor response. Obviously amateur hour over there. @Optus #OptusHack
