When @Optus cut off your old phone number, but2 days later haven’t set up the new one, despite calling back into the shop twice. That’s 2 days of not being able to get in touch with kids/school etc starting to wonder whether this was the best network choice. Poor service so far

@bennya_84 It worked for a lot of the prof. era, but it’s clear now it’s a damaging relationship. Move with the times, like you say. For example. Optus’ streaming service has over 800k subscribers, which i recall is more then double Fox. - more emphasis and alignment on domestic 3rd tier...

@abc730 @arielbogle Online tenancy, rental and property management software is collecting more extensive personal data than Optus, including birth certificates, passports and personal histories. Let's hope they are doubling down on cyber security.

Dear @ParamountPlusAU At 12.53pm a tradesmans radio innocently gave away the Socceroos efforts this morning, thereby breaking my media Blackout while waiting for P+ to upload the replay. IMO the app in its current state is not useful for football fans. Please be like #Optus

  • melanie_mogs

@Optus the worst service ever!!! Only been with you 5 months, took 3 weeks to change our numbers over, not 4 hours. Didn’t mention putting pins on account so someone took 8k from our account. Now we have a 2k phone bill. Time for the ombudsman!

@albericie @Optus Australia in the late 90s and turn of the century invested heavily to outsource its call centres overseas. At the same time they moved manufacturing to China and other Asian locations. Try and support local Aussie NBN companies. There are a few good Aussie ones around

    Jaron Sutton (@Soupnoldclothes) reported

@albericie @Optus I lost a week of my life trying to cancel an Optus account. I'll never go there again.

  • DavidPenington2
    David Penington (@DavidPenington2) reported

@albericie @Optus In 2001 l cancelled an installation by Telstra. A month later found them measuring cables down the street to do it. 6 months later someone came to "measure the missing installation details". His work sheet said "Mr Cancelled"! Contracted out work via poorly designed interfaces.

    Timothy phy (@LogicalSky) reported

@Telstra you literally are a telecommunications company and don’t have phone support. I’ve been trying to use your “chat” bot for 6 hours. #pathetic hey! @Optus - what’s your deals like?

  • truthful_100
    TruthfulOne (@truthful_100) reported

@albericie @Optus I tried to cancel online then on the phone. The tech still turned up. When i complained they had a record of the chat that proved i cancelled and was refunded the money

@albericie @Optus Its always easier to ask on Twitter Big business hates being shamed for their terrible service Its even more frustrating that we have to go to social media to shame them into action I've got 6 months left on my @Optus contract and can't wait to get away from them

  • ResourcefulHDR
Sally Purcell (@ResourcefulHDR) reported from Central Coast, New South Wales

@albericie @Optus Good luck! Feel your pain. Left the big telcos a few years back. With a smaller isp now - much happier with the customer service

  • GavinAardvar
    Gavin (@GavinAardvar) reported

@albericie @Optus There’s never anyone to take responsibility. After a recent 3 day disruption to our service I requested an appropriate reduction in the bill. After their rep confirmed this would occur, the next bill reflected no adjustment.

  • jenvitoria24
    Jen Wills (@jenvitoria24) reported

@albericie @Optus These things take about an hour of multiple calls between each department, over several days before they finally find the right person to contact, who will then accidently hang up and the process starts all over again. Enjoy.

  • sorrentoseal
    Steven Sealberg (@sorrentoseal) reported

@albericie @Optus Because we outsourced to cheapest countries to look after our customer servives.
