@Optus It has been like that for more than month ! Not sure what make it impossible to track the issue , the support is asking me to use a different device, that's brilliant it took them a month to send a generic response !!! #badcustomerservice #upyourgame @OptusSport

So I don’t know whose at fault, but my data is on but works like 5% of the time. Even turn my phone off for a bit and back on won’t help! @Apple @Optus

@BigKev67 @vipinbjain Interestingly, Rose Bowl, Bellerive and WACA / Optus are the three venues with poor Test crowds, although Gabba has had some poor crowds of late as well. #savsInd #INDvsSA

So how's this for next level bad customer service. @Optus sends a warning notice that services will be restricted of we don't pay $270. Never seen the account number. Wife was on phone every day last week. They couldn't say what it related to. Couldnt provide copy of a bill.

@Optus heard worst customer service story today. Colleague received a birthday gift of an Apple Watch but received the large face instead of smaller face and cannot exchange even when unopened and in the plastic @Apple cannot help but were equally shocked at how crap this is

@SaveOurForests_ That Victorian brown coal power station was owned by carpetbagging French. Should NEVER have been built and none of those Elect suppliers say where they're based. Optus is Singapore. Telstra did no one any favours.

@Optus Hi, was back an hour or so after post but has been on & off over the last few days. Whatever your techs are doing is very frustrating for us poor customers.

Terrible mistake from @Optus - they made us @TwoTalesCafe switch to NBN last week and changed our number without telling us and we’ve only just found out - really crappy stuff for a long weekend when people will call us to find out if we’re open!!!! Sort it out @Optus

@Optus cutting off all internet with zero notification of NBN cutover date and 1 hour later chat people zero help. Only work from home and studying for masters online. Ombudsman tomorrow, yet again.

$41 for 105gb of data is insane. Only Optus can do it. Malaysian Telco companies could never

@annie_parker @slace @Telstra It’s so bullshit. Optus just as bad and it takes up to 48 hrs for it to let you know you’ve hit your limits. In this real time world that is criminal I reckon.

They even said that they had the wrong birth date on the system for that account. Now today internet slows down to Alphalink level dial up speed. 👋👋👋 Well done @Optus on making 20 yr long customers feel special.

@juzzyjuuice @Optus As bad as Optus is I reckon they're the best of a horrible bunch. Just tried a different co for internet and went crawling back to them cause they were that shite.

@AttilaBalassa It's quite a responsibility to get it right. Optus has the EPL over here but they do a pretty decent job. Still sucks when you're paying for Foxtel though and can't get some of the best sport.

Honestly @Optus we have had the worst customer experience @TwoTalesCafe with you the last few weeks + particularly the last few days - your failure to take responsibility + resolve this has been shocking to experience. It’s always been someone else’s fault within the organisation

@philiplaureano Their online billing system was so messed up. On top of that, they screwed up my OH's credit history. We actually had to contact Equifax to fix it. Took months. I'll never sign up for any Optus plan ever again, no matter how good is the deal.

@jacojac @Optus Optus should be made to foot the cost of reissue of all personal identifiers they lost, they are entirely responsible. Any damages stemming from their terrible security should also be at their feet.
-
Simon Chan

@Jarryd_Bridges @patrickkeneally @Optus If customer communication wasn’t thought of as part of their security planning, then they’ve truly miraculously failed twice.
-
David Bateman

@ashishenigma @Optus @RunnerSA18 That's not necessarily bad. It's when there are lax security protocols which is evident in this matter.
-
Simon Chan
(@simoncha_n) reported
@Jarryd_Bridges @patrickkeneally I call BS. Irrespective of whether some or many customers were affected, it’s @Optus’ responsibility to notify its customers of *potential* risks to them whilst they work out the extent of the issue and not just sit in hope that people see their presser.
-
James Furlong
(@jezthefur) reported
@Optus @RunnerSA18 To be clear, the only reason this attack was successful was because of your poor security practices - would also be good if you explained why you were holding peoples identity information after completing idv and credit checks? Seems like a pretty big risk you opted into there

@SquizzSTK Jane might be right that government should act. I would expect Jane to support heavy fines and compensation to victims by Optus. Optus may have well just published their (our) records on their home page. Serious breach of privacy laws.

@agarner @MacdonellFiona Optus should be hit with a class action sued for billions. Somebody was trying to save money and time by linking a live database to a test network. Optus are going to prey on people‘s IT naivete to get away with this, when they tried to save money and time.

Jack Jacobs

@detispify @Optus I’m honestly surprised they haven’t offered the affected customers a credit monitoring service yet.
