  • BradleyWDeacon Bradley Deacon (MAISA)🇦🇺 (@BradleyWDeacon) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Great service @Optus for my home Internet, it’s a massive improvement compared to what I experienced with @Telstra I can now connect less than 24 hours from placing order and saving $30 per month! #winwin

  • catrionawallace Dr Catriona Wallace (@catrionawallace) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Trying to get @NBN_Australia via @Optus however #NBN did not turn up for the appointment and no contact ever since regardless of constant requests. Optus blame NBN and NBN have ghosted us. Super poor form from both. Thinking on how to escalate so that they both can hear 🤔

  • ChadT_82 Chad (@ChadT_82) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@vesh88 Maybe Netflix will be the loser for AL fans. I think people will drop Netflix and take up Stan, then the addition of Stan Sport won’t be too bad. But yeah, please go to Optus instead

  • MimiBlueMtns Margaret Williams (@MimiBlueMtns) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@OptusSport @OptusSport Dear Optus Sport and #MartinTyler why on earth would you give us a running commentary and score update on another game during the televised one? Surely you must know that many viewers want to watch both without knowing the score? Poor form.

  • JulianCevaal Julian Cevaal (@JulianCevaal) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus is the internet down in wheeler heights nsw 2097. Please advise.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus drive me insane. No internet drives me insane. Being asked to go through the troubleshooting steps that you already did before you phoned them drives me insane Having a **** ton of work and wasting 2 hours trying to get the internet to do the work DRIVES ME INSANE

  • vijayarumugam Vijay Arumugam (@vijayarumugam) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@hganjoo153 2018 cycle is a broad brush. The wickets in Australia in 2018-19 were flat & slow, except at the Optus Stadium. Plus, BCCI refused to play under the lights in Australia. In South Africa & in England, yes.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mausies @UpUpNulla Static IP is pretty standard. A bit crap service. I struggle especially because I understand how things work and being treated like a halfwit pisses me off I have fibre-optic cable from the Tele pole to my house for Optus for 20 yes NBN could not or would not use that cable

  • jazza1983 Jarrod McCloughan (@jazza1983) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hi @VodafoneAU Why is reception so poor around Burwood and Strathfield in Sydney? I struggle to get data or a text message out. My contract is expiring soon and I’m shopping around with the smaller guys. You have been better than Optus though!

  • realmicturner Michael Turner (@realmicturner) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@sgardz91 A lot. The Waratahs are crap, the Reds are playing well. Sonny Bill is a pundit and figures are up. What’s evident is you have no idea what you are talking about if you genuinely think somehow Optus will have a higher national reach than Australia’s largest TV/Media network.

  • thechanderman Russell Chander (@thechanderman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Okay first optus goes down for hours and twice in one week, and now apparently commbank got ddosed and I can't even pay for a pint by card rn like wth is going on did scomo piss off putin at that summit or summink???

  • realmicturner Michael Turner (@realmicturner) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Just to clarify it doesn’t look like an Optus problem. It’s the World Feed.

  • boypage 𝚋𝚘𝚢@𝚙𝚊𝚐𝚎:~$ (@boypage) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@VinceRugari I'll be switching my mobile to Optus now that the Telstra 𝘔𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 app now becomes merely a scoreboard. And will pay the $8.99pm for Paramount. My dad has Foxtel so I can use his login for Foxtel Go. But I'll not bother with Stan. It's a private tax I can't afford.

  • fiiingers Fred (@fiiingers) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Except if u miss a payment. Computer automatically sends u $15 late fee even tho u have never missed b4. Ring up they say so sad too bad. Then u threaten to leave $15 fee reversed. Customer service sux😳

  • DTsirekas David Tsirekas (@DTsirekas) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

.@Optus Hello. If you can solve and progress a new NBN business account without the delays and promises that @Telstra have continued to fail at our business is yours

  • MichaelJMcGr Michael McGrath (@MichaelJMcGr) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus dismayed, frustrated and disappointed. Attempted to connect to internet service yesterday: three hours on phone, sent back to store to get a new SIM card. Then told due to @Optus upgrades #internet not available until April 25th. How can this be an acceptable level?

  • IaenCordell Iaen Cordell (@IaenCordell) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

The certificate that Optus uses on its email servers has expired, unable to access it from any IOS devices, just one of many examples of what happens when you out source your IT support to a OS location.

  • moonbe77 bMunz.dev (@moonbe77) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@OptusSport Optus sucks. I just bought the service to watch this game online. It is asking for a sms code that I never recibe. Now It says I reached the limit of attempts. F Y S optus

  • sokyola87 Sunny Sok (@sokyola87) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@KevinAirs I have been with Optus for 20 years, never have I ever gotten reception at a stadium with Optus unless it was when I got to the stadium early enough before the start of the match or concert or the crowd was a small number of under 10K

Optus Issues Reports

I have the Westpac Fraud and AMEX Dispute teams in my emails, this Optus **** up couldn’t have come at a better time

  • solomon_inez Solomon Inez (@solomon_inez) reported

@kbrspace Kelly i have been with optus for 8 years and i wouldnt change. This current issue with hacking of personal info of optus customers, looks like an internal sabotage.

  • Krislicked A Kris on the lips is better than none. (@Krislicked) reported

@jendudley All were bad, FB ban was fb's decision, covidsafe was just idiotic and poorly implemented, note 7 was worldwide. Optus impacts *a lot* of people directly at great expense beyond fair failings of the others.

  • amused79 Alison (@amused79) reported

@Optus When are you going to share the specific data that was released for each customer? I cancelled my phone plan 8 months ago and now live overseas, yet my data was shared. How do you suggest I manage a new drivers license from here??

  • Donovan_Fergie Donovan Ferguson (@Donovan_Fergie) reported

@janine_hendry They notified the privacy commissioner and the media quickly, painting a worst case scenario (which was pretty bad). Not suggesting they have been glorious, but compared to other high profile data breaches over the years, Optus did the right thing by fessing up early.

  • MarkinInOz Mark (@MarkinInOz) reported

@jasonjordan The word hack minimises the perception that Optus were blatantly negligent in securing this data.. It gives the impression that some evil hacker infiltrated their network when in fact they left production data available on the internet with no security..

  • mc_beth32 QueenNy (@mc_beth32) reported

@AnnastaciaMP @TMRQld I was a former optus business customer and I'm not wasting my time and energy changing anything. Hackers wont get a cent using my name. Why are people in hysteria? Relax!

  • myownemail243 Johnintime (@myownemail243) reported

Gee optus gets hacked, but National Australia Bank won't do anything about my serious data leak, they have ignored me and said we can't stop staff from discussing my financial information with distant relatives Terrible to rely on these companies to keep your data safe.

  • Ausogre Known as Shrek (@Ausogre) reported

My mum got affected by @optus breach she has terminal cancer she doesnt need this ****. We will be suing this is not on.

  • mjgal Melanie Usher (@mjgal) reported

Thanks for a total lack of instruction and support @Optus
