  @dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days it’s still not lit. I’m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

  @Optus Thanks Jono. I freakin LOVE your network and have never once had an issue Optus and should not have signed a new bloody contract with Telstra...lesson learned.... 😓

  @Telstra Telstra Doncaster failed and refused to help, I'll be lodging a complaint with the ombudsman in due course, duly note the outcome, you lost two decades long people to Optus, who were terrific in help.

  @MelbOnTransit @Urban_Immerser Why don't V/line use a back up telco provider beside telstra? So if one goes down they got some form of commication. V/Line should back up Telstra with Optus in case on goes out!

  @Busybee32433175 @Teh_Jkr @Optus Any time I wanted a new phone I'd walk into a Telstra store and just buy one. My SIM is already Telstra its just plug and play. People make the mistake of getting a new phone whilst still paying off the current one. A never ending cycle of payments for something shiny. Boring.

  @AlanBixter Particularly after @Optus emergency access fuckups, there's no excuse for not having robust redundancies & fail safes @Telstra are likely more focussed on cost-cutting & leveraging unwanted, untested AI to boost management bonuses CEOs should face jail time for such negligence

  @Jakie_1993 Yeah, someone a few years back thought I was crazy moving mobile from optus. Said not really, as have optus internet in residence. I said if mobile goes down and internet down at same time, no chance to communicate. So always check if mobile piggybacks optus network

  @optus_help Here is the kicker. I was there b/c my father has Parkinson and border line Dementia which Abu knew at 383 George St. Abu tried to get the attention of the manager who was with a customer along with another Optus colleague and he brushed Abu away without even acknowledging him. Being also brushed off angrily by the guy at World Trade Square (witnessed by another angry customer) and had not opened the store at required time only shows Optus has a serious cultural problem which I’m sure Ben Fordam at 2GB will find interesting tomorrow when I email him.

  I hope the telecommunications industry fines @Telstra for this outage the same way they did Optus!!!
