    @dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days it’s still not lit. I’m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

    @MRobertsQLD One minute you are for Big Oil, & then against Big Pharma, another minute against Govt involvement & then all for it, with subsidies for Big Oil & Gas, one minute against Govt data collection but fail to see this is held by private companies such as Optus. All over the shop.

    @stuontheloo @Optus Being obliged to keep data and keeping data unsecured on a server connected to the internet are 2 entirely different things. There’s potentially an argument for keeping the relevant bits of active customer files accessible (but secure); but everything else…?

    In the light of Optus, Woolworths and Medibank completely fumbling peoples’ data they held, companies are starting to update their ToS with “we PROMISE we won’t **** up, please don’t axe our existence like we deserve!”

    @Optus You guys are absolutely the worst. I haven't had an account with you guys for YEARS and it's inactive. NO EMAILS. I finally get a letter today saying my information might’ve been comprised. Why on earth are you 1. KEEPING MY INFORMATION 2. ONLY CONTACTING ME NOW?

    @stuontheloo @Optus A family member only recently got their letter — not a current customer, had only used Optus for something for a few months, more than a year ago. They kept the data.

    @eddiemajor @Jeremy_Kirk Optus, the second biggest Telco got hacked for 9 million customer records. It made the major media outlets (we have a total population of ~25 million) because it included passport #s and license #s. Things escalated from there as other companies got hacked.
