  @dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days it’s still not lit. I’m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

  @Optus Thanks Jono. I freakin LOVE your network and have never once had an issue Optus and should not have signed a new bloody contract with Telstra...lesson learned.... 😓

Anthony Albanese says the outage affecting Telstra’s national network was “deeply concerning”, claiming Australians were “entitled to answers” but that investigations were ongoing. “It’s very disruptive to people’s lives throughout the country. This is a national outage that has varied effects,” the Prime Minister told reporters in Brisbane. “The Triple-0 custodian is in constant contact with Telstra and with the emergency services, and investigations are underway at this stage. What Telstra have indicated to the government is that they don’t see this as being … malicious, but those investigations are underway.” Mr Albanese pointed to government measures crackind won on Australian telco’s in the wake of the Optus Triple-0 scandal claiming the government would continue to engage with Telstra over the outage. “We’ll continue to engage constructively. But I think people are entitled to get answers, but they also want answers that are accurate and those investigations are ongoing,” he said.

  @Ethen_Hunt_ @col_colin1 @IncrediblyBozza This isn’t hard to get. Optus was a brand new stadium. I don’t care if the statue had no home. There were far more deserving people to have their statues at Optus before him, even if the DV stuff never happened. Being kind & ignoring that, 7 years later no one else has one?

  @WesleySouthcott @ScomoCchio No. Optus has had outages too. And their response was just as pathetic as Telstra’s. But the point remains, huge service providers that can cause disrupt/impact nationwide are not held to account in any meaningful or significant way.

  @TweetTreet @tim_blee That's bullshit, devices EFTPOS and similar devices that run on 4G/5G can use other networks, and a bit of business continuity planning would have a backup network, even for a small business, like running down to Officeworks and buying an OPTUS prepaid SIM.

  @OMGTheMess She was supposed to implement a new BCP after the Optus outage. What are we paying her to do? Other than drink champagne on her business class flights? What has she actually achieved? Does anyone know?
