@Optus Is actually the web page design that’s the issue- it references something that doesn’t exist on that page. I’ll try your advice. Maybe someone can have a look at the page to ensure it’s helpful… 🤔

  • bronze_flame Kat (@bronze_flame) reported

Still no email, no text message, no notification of any kind from @Optus. Millions are facing potential identity theft and you couldn’t be bothered to issue a simple email heads up. Pathetic.

  • terencehuynh Terence Huynh (@terencehuynh) reported

nice to know that being a loyal optus customer for years means there’s every likely chance that my data is in that security breach 👀👀👀

  • luciedigitalni lucie digitální (@luciedigitalni) reported

So after 36(?) hours, @optus still hasn't bothered to communicate directly with its customer base. It won't stop my identity being repurposed but I'm glad the Vodafone Sim I ordered on Tuesday is arriving today

  • clarkes Clarkie. Whatever. (@clarkes) reported

@Alicedkc @Optus Just assume the worst.

  • elronxenu The Iron Xenu 👾💉💉💉🦠 (@elronxenu) reported

@sylmobile Same. When I stop being a customer, Optus should delete my data (after a reasonable delay).

  • kindness_think THINK KINDNESS (@kindness_think) reported

@chdyctt @Optus You cant expect people to be watching, reading or listening to the news. It is individual communication that is required from Optus. It is not a time to be cost saving to not communicating to its customer.

  • JodieBrilliant Jodie Brilliant (@JodieBrilliant) reported

    @CelerySorbet @hottestcoldshit I'm an optus customer

  • tiwaririshindra Rishi (@tiwaririshindra) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 No Optus , you are not working with customers. I am online with customer service and they refused to confirm whether mine or family's account was compromised or not. What kind of bull***t scam are you running here ?

  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported

Optus say customer data involved in their Cyber attack dates back to 2017.

  • stilgherrian Stilgherrian (@stilgherrian) reported

The 9.8 million records figure in the media is the worst case. Optus believes it's a "very small" subset of data but they don't have the exact number yet. Once they know, they'll contact each customer with the specifics of the data breaches for that customer.
