@GamersNexus @HardwareUnboxed Though I've got mine on a special early-bird deal, pay 30AUD for like 55GB per month. Though am using the Optus network so it's usually congested during the day and only get 50/20Mbps with my S10+ in the middle of the night xD Which is the same speed as my NBN :P

  • GrantTDavies A/Prof Grant Davies (@GrantTDavies) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Hey @Optus your complaints process is broken. Made a complaint online on 24 Feb. The response was someone would contact me within 2 bus days. SMS from Nathaniel an ‘Expert’ in the customer resolution team on day 2 saying he’d make contact within another 2 bus days. Crickets since

  • GrantTDavies A/Prof Grant Davies (@GrantTDavies) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus Yes please. I have moved into a development that does not have nbn but has opticomm so I can’t sign on to Optus broadband. I have been a customer for around 2 decades and want to retain my email account. Is there a way to retain it?

  • Mikey_Nicholson Mikey Nicholson (@Mikey_Nicholson) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@AdelaideMail Get an Optus one. You can call someone for 9’59 and then hang up, ring them back and you won’t be charged (between 8pm and 8am)

  • bcullen76 Brendan Cullen (@bcullen76) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Generally I don't mind Optus sport for football but I have never really taken to Mark Schwarzer. Just think he talks ****!

  • ChelseaFCOwner ChelseaFC Adelaide (@ChelseaFCOwner) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Commentary on Optus TV was so anti Chelsea.... they continually bagged our fans and talked @chelseafc down.

  • nartazartaz natasha alexandra w (@nartazartaz) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • needlesineyes needleineyes (@needlesineyes) reported

Optus has a large team of security and network professional , even them could not protect and mitigate all risks all the time. No wonder my Optus number kept getting calls from strange numbers from around the world. #cybersecurity @Optus @PeterDutton_MP @AlboMP #hackers

  • luciedigitalni lucie digitální (@luciedigitalni) reported

Brutal? Come on @samanthamaiden, Hume was more evasive on even basic questions than the Optus support reps I've been dealing with #Insiders #auspol

  • niall_bigscreen Niall Ginsbourg (@niall_bigscreen) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk I seriously doubt that the person conducting the extortion is actually the first bad actor to access this information en masse, likely they are just the first to publicly demand a payment. I'd like to see #Optus disclose just how long this gaping security hole has been there.

  • jjclenton Old Grey Raven (@jjclenton) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 I have been affected by your failure! As an ex-customer why did you still have all my details on file? If you kept my details in the hope I would return? I will never be a customer again now that I know you cannot be trusted to look after my data! #OptusHack

  • i_ivison angry masked bystander (@i_ivison) reported

@ianbfarquhar An excellent question. I am no longer a customer and have been contacted by Optus saying my details were hacked. Why were these retained years after closing the account?

  • RowdyAndTed Rowdy and Ted (@RowdyAndTed) reported

@AndrewBGreene @David_Speers @Optus The reforms don’t help us who had our info stolen. I’m not even a current customer, yet have had my details involved. We need new licence & passport numbers. The govt needs to make this a priority to help us & make Optus pay

  • camtraveller camtraveller🇭🇰 🇹🇼 (@camtraveller) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk Thanks for your reporting on this. I am one of the customers with the ‘heightened risk’ and It’s a real shame that I have to get this information from you an not Optus. Optus seems to have gone into hiding at the worst possible time. Terrible communication.

  • Gennerveevy Geneviève Doyle (@Gennerveevy) reported

@JPMasters @Jeremy_Kirk @Optus Programmer husband was wondering if Optus had been notified at some point, as ‘ethical hackers’ generally will months before it’s public knowledge, and go public to force them to fix it. Also other issues with test systems not sandboxed from live customer data.

  • twigsama twigsama (@twigsama) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk > a former Optus customer and that her data is accurate. Oh ****... Can you somehow find out if customers from Optus resellers are affected by this hack?

  • netz_melb Netz Melbourne (@netz_melb) reported

@Aussie_Booma @_thomasparkes I take security very seriously. What IT ****** thought it would be a good idea to have an unauthenticated API active, with the only security being an obscure URL/access point, particularly in a high profile business like Optus. Luckily I'm not an Optus customer.
