Jack The Aussie (@hammerofleft) reported@amagickeagle999 Listen up ********. She's not expected to run it. She is expected as the responsible minister to oversee the regulatory framework and take the necessary legislative steps to protect consumers and ensure service standards are maintained. She promised tougher oversight after the two Optus outages last year and has done nothing, **** all. Over 600 triple 0 calls failed, lives at serious risk let alone the economic damage. Get it through your thick skull - She dropped the ball.

Arthur Barrett (@Ayyyyybeeeee) reportedHere in Australia we’ve got the semi-annual hand wringing over cellular carriers and emergency calls - is it time to ditch SS7 for VoIP/SIP and switch from single operator SIM from Telstra/Optus to multi-operator SIM like SimBase or ThingsMobile?
-
Lyndall Robertson (@lyndall19414) reported@MGJ50 PEOPLE DIED WHEN OPTUS FAILED AND NO ONE KNEW 000 WAS DOWN BECAUSE NO ONE CHECKED THANKYOU SARAH SHOWING COMMON SENSE

Andrew Donnellan (@ajdlinux) reported@OperationalInc1 at a very minimum you should need both Telstra *and* Optus to go down, no?
-
Peter 🏊🏼🚲🏃🏻 (@Ironman_peter) reported@7NewsBrisbane Why doesn’t 000 have an alternative number as a backup run by? Maybe Optus or Tpg or Vodafone? How does a company or a business run with just one solution? 000 is incompetent.

A K (@AK22762976) reported@Birdsperch Clearly no contingency for terrestrial fail [all eggs in one basket] even with satellite backup downlink distribution relies on terrestrial bearers (circuits), Even Optus with satellite support incorporates terrestrial distribution -Contingency planning is key & costs money
-
CSG (@MrCSG75) reported@SkyNewsAust quote: "Ms Wells previously attracted criticism for an international trip amid the fallout of a major triple-zero outage involving Optus".. and that travel rort thing that we are supposed to have forgotten about....

Murray (@MyNameIsMurray) reportedI read an article suggesting that @Starlink could come to Australia as a phone service. Oh, I hope it's real. Telstra utterly sucks, has massive blackspots everywhere, is ludicrously expensive, and has terrible customer service. Optus & Vodafone are worse. We need competition.
