  • miriamsilva595 Miriam Silva (@miriamsilva595) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Terrible customer service from @Optus taking $500 direct debut from my Dad’s account instead of $70 and not giving him back his money. He has been 5 times to the Optus office and phoned 3 times and they just hang up on him. Very poor customer service. Please fix it

  • REDRAWRADIO RedRaw Radio (@REDRAWRADIO) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus #AllenLew make good on your statement you will sack staff responsible for poor service - I've spent 5hrs of my time seeking to transfer a Virgin service to Optus Your CreditReview numpties need a rocket up em ref 2005236605 Call me or I'm off to @Telstra @HarveyNormanAU

  • keegansard Keegan J. Sard (@keegansard) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Hey @Optus - your app is broken again! DM me.

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus This is a joke. Now your telling me I have to pay more than agreed. This is pure theft. If you want to discuss how about you call me for once directly and maybe try reading your notes first before asking the same questions. Should never have left @VodafoneAU. DM me for a number.

  • mselbyLFCSC Matthew Selby (@mselbyLFCSC) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@BSFootball @OptusSport Blame the PL for the rights they offer. It’s ridiculous but not an Optus issue.

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus @VodafoneAU Still on the phone for 30-mins and this is a mess. All your staff have no idea. Expect a formal complaint to the @TelcoOmbudsman on how you charge for services not delivered and how you don’t put on your records your discounts you quote to get us to sign up too!

  • realLeoJames Leo James (@realLeoJames) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@DimitriPeppas_ Ugh I wish. Optus said I could upgrade for free after 12 months. Never got an email! I think when this contract runs out, I’ll buy a phone out right and SIM card it...

  • bloodhoundau Anthony Ashton (@bloodhoundau) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@LawrieColliver Oh gosh. This is similar to optus. Who had issues with broadcasting the rugby world cup.

  • NixLib Nikki May 📚 (@NixLib) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Switched to @Optus 1 day a go and regretting it already. 1 phone call, 2 chats and now I have to go to a store because they sent me a dodgy sim. Surely as a new customer you would send them a new one rather than inconvenience them. RIP @virginmobileaus

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

    1. The biggest mistake going to @Optus. Over 20 calls in the last week. I called 5x about correcting your mistake on the delivery address and you still sent it to the wrong location. 2. You never ported my number over correctly and now a week later and 10 more calls and not done.

  • pe1erhowell Peter Howell ☂︎ (@pe1erhowell) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@jacojac @BeauGiles @Optus Yea I also don’t see why you have to go into store to get the esim. I went into my local and the girl didn’t even know what I was talking about. Pretty bad service tbh

  • laylaflynn13 lAyLa (@laylaflynn13) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus I just wanted to relax and watch Netflix for once and the internet is down wtf

  • returnofsmith Paul Mizzi (@returnofsmith) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Thanks @Optus for your inconsistent internet speeds on your wireless broadband service. Sunday night movie was ruined by constant buffering even after many router resets. $800+ a year and I can’t even be confident to invite friends over for a movie 😡😡😡😡😡

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus @VodafoneAU Hi @Optus I have DM you guys just waiting to hear back! Turns out you also have not updated the new deal for my wife either. Really really poor. If this doesn’t get sorted today will be returning phone and going back to @VodafoneAU or @Telstra

  • tamwisey Tam Wiseman (@tamwisey) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus Netflix down here too 😢

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus furthermore you never applied the agreed discount on my plan and magically could not find it. 4. You never called me back as promised and i always had to follow up. 5. Funny how you got the bank details correct though to charge me full price for a service i can’t use.

  • sian_walden Sian Walden (@sian_walden) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@alanwedesweiler @Optus RIGHT! Its now 3 wks since I ordered & am blown away by the lack of problem solving @Optus has offered given this situation. This is horrific customer service, while ‘out of your control’- what you can control is how you solve an issue quickly - keeping customers happy.

  • LeithGourlay Leith Gourlay (@LeithGourlay) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

    @danhaesler @Optus Hi @danhaesler, this is not a 1st world problem, is a contractual issue where services paid for haven’t been provide. #goodfaith #fair #reasonable #expected

  • stratEGbywade stratEG by wade (@stratEGbywade) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus @Icy_Remote I'm also trying to register a SIM for a non English speaking friend. Online help is not working

  • effielarocca Teresa LaRocca (@effielarocca) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Telstra 1/2. 2,weeks ago I suggested we switch from @Optus to Telstra, up our speed to 50mps as your bundle seemed better than Optus. Now we have no internet (which seemed to work on an Optus network) and yesterday my sister lost her job. She has 2 weeks left of her job and now

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Gingobibble Gingobibble (@Gingobibble) reported

@ChalkerPhillip Not in the breach... but the handling of the crisis is from the LNP playbook. Deny. Gaslight (not our error, we were hacked by super skilled hacker). Re-direct - no optus passwords were taken. Announcements that mean nothing. Poor communication to its people & Then silence.

  • dingram Dave Ingram 😷 🌻 (@dingram) reported

@natecochrane @Optus @ClareONeilMP Surely ID verification services can provide a token to Telco etc that serves as proof that a check was done on the customer and all was good? That would serve as the "relevant record" etc for identity check rules.

  • noelie091954 Noel (@noelie091954) reported

@RonniSalt @xskinn @Optus Companies in a self created crisis these days don’t have to look too far to find a solution….just hire an ad agency to run a few jingoistic ads on tv.. problem solved!

  • Perthnewshq Perth NewsHQ (@Perthnewshq) reported

For Optus (or any organisation for that matter) to be allowed to retailer such distinctive figuring out info and never be required to encrypt is past perception (“Voraciousness for knowledge should cease”, September 27). Why have governments not required this? Stupidly, I ha…

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

found @optus should get another CEO if this one can't handle the mess created by #databreach - a better IVR setup for past customers - it's very ad hoc and very Optus - going in circles to chase paperwork to prove customer is not fraudulent which in end stops them getting result

  • bloominspring1 Michelle 💉💉💉 (@bloominspring1) reported

@redruby17 @ClareONeilMP @Optus Yes!!! I'm a current customer but received an email stating "as a former Optus customer"... So... Does that mean my current details are actually ok?

  • hereliesvince vince (@hereliesvince) reported

@geo_genesis @Optus like how does this **** happen...

  • S370HSSVO773H 💪🏻👔🤳🏻 (@S370HSSVO773H) reported

@10NewsFirst Want a scoop involving Optus. @BleepinComputer has layed it all out for you. The hackers have apologised to Optus customer and discontinued the ransom demand. Hurry. Be the first. YW

  • Megsymu Megan Stubbs (@Megsymu) reported

@VictorDominello Just plain old “human errors”!!! Optus has already lost the trust of its customers. You would think it would be going above and beyond to do whatever to make this process as less stressful for all its customers as possible! A “re-imbursement scheme” is nightmare in the making !!

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

this #databreach is a major stuff up of @optus - totally disorganised - I can't communicate with them as past customer except by reply to CEO email or visiting a shop (they'll want photo ID again) - they should have #encrypted my #data not just kept it unencrypted for years
