  • iammrdom dynamic island dom (@iammrdom) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Seems like @Optus is going to avoid the repercussions of a data leak. Maybe a good chance to look at their offering and price it accordingly to their network quality. Lower prices to add customers.

  • LizzieGeddes ArchiesMum (@LizzieGeddes) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@MFWitches @Optus Well pleased to say I have never liked them so lucky this time!!! Gladys says it all and the smug insensitive ignorant CEO. Both a disgrace and disappointment

  • STEVEFI14205588 STEVE FISCHER (@STEVEFI14205588) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@sammyjcomedian Sammy was still smiling. Sadly this is close to the truth it's not at all absurd. Yet we pay so little for those who serve us. They cop the crap from poor management decisions. Hey @Optus have you not heard of reputational damage?

  • gcov5 gcov (@gcov5) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Optus we scraped through, never been a customer, now Medibank hacked.... Needs to change, companies holding personal data. Why do they even need to ? After validation the only detail they should store is for payment, no licence, no passport, birthday...

  • harryxroyalty Lady M 💫 (@harryxroyalty) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus hello, can you please explain why tf your reception is so bad at the moment? For the past 2 weeks I’ve barely gotten 2 bars! I can barely make a phone call.

  • PMalinauskasMP Peter Malinauskas (@PMalinauskasMP) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Optus customers who have already paid a fee for a replacement licence can apply in person at their Service SA for a refund.

  • adriankhall AKH 🇦🇺 (@adriankhall) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus is there an NBN outage in the Klemzig area? Mobile phone service this morning was OKAY. Thanks!

  • PMalinauskasMP Peter Malinauskas (@PMalinauskasMP) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@chrissyinoz Yes. Optus customers who have already paid a fee for a replacement licence can apply in person at their Service SA for a refund.

  • StephenB_adl Stephen Blakeney (@StephenB_adl) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

I spoke to @Optus about cancelling my service and part of the package to keep me was a 12 months subscription to Equifax - so wait, do I need it or not? I don’t think it should be an optional extra 🤨

  • StaceySparrow10 Stacey 🇵🇸🇺🇦 (@StaceySparrow10) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Kanga561 Majority of my details have changed since then luckily but it's bloody stressful isn't it. I hope you don't get too much trouble from it. It's absolutely bullshit. I had it happen with optus, now this. It's beyond a joke.

  • bow55213735 John Bowman (@bow55213735) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Asher_Wolf @pully8 @OAICgov I had a free month, the following day after it expired Optus was compromised. I wanted to cancel my account prior to the day before the free month ended. So I took my modem back, but was told I could only cancel the account if I bought the used modem. If I had a faulty modem YES!

  • davemc David McCandless (@davemc) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Seems my phone company Optus has been hacked so if you are being trolled or asked for money by me then you know that’s normal, but if there are stupid memes posted then I’ve been hacked

  • PMalinauskasMP Peter Malinauskas (@PMalinauskasMP) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@NickToulantas Yes. Optus customers who have already paid a fee for a replacement licence can apply in person at their Service SA for a refund.

  • kellyy1009 Kelly (@kellyy1009) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus None of this helps. You couldn’t help me when it happened last year and I don’t doubt the answer will be the same again tomorrow. What the app says vs what my phone settings say are two completely different things.

  • croweseyephoto Crowes Eye Photography 📷 (@croweseyephoto) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Don't think anyone realises within 10 years, it's possible that Onlyfans will be hacked. Just like Optus and Medibank. Doesn't help that the media are blowing it up like it's a potential way to become famous either. It's something everyone on it will eventually live to regret.

  • PMalinauskasMP Peter Malinauskas (@PMalinauskasMP) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Online licence replacements are now available for affected Optus customers. Effective immediately, South Australians affected by the Optus data breach will be able to apply for a replacement licence online via their mySAGOV account - without having to attend a Service SA Centre.

  • paulnudeisbest Living life naked (@paulnudeisbest) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

After 25 years, & yet another data breach, this latest was the final straw... Goodbye @Optus ... If you can't even bother with basic protection of my data, why should I continue paying you for a less than stellar service? Just an hour to port everything to a more reliable telco.

  • iammrdom Mr Dom (@iammrdom) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

I’m stuck thinking about my mobile carrier, so I stay with an Optus MVNO or go to a Telstra ‘full service’ MVNO. It’s complicated. There’s $10 a month in it between the two companies.

  • winsordobbin Winsor Dobbin (@winsordobbin) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus @ashbarty ***** name and not good timing given @OptusSport prices are rising 67%. #fail

  • phileboy11 Philip Downes * (@phileboy11) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Hey @Optus who in their right mind designed a security system to send a one time code to an email address when I call for support about my internet not working? #AskingForAFriend

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Gr0di Graeme (@Gr0di) reported

@StuddertNatalie The rest of my family use Amaysim. Optus network, so same coverage but cheaper. My kids' data allowance has accrued to over 1TB each and they're unlikely to ever make a dent in that.

  • tassiedad Jason 💛🤍💜🖤 (@tassiedad) reported

@Optus No, we use a dedicated account to put money for bills in. There is no card associated with this account. Even if there was, I wouldn’t be willing to give that information over, given your recent security issues. 1/-

  • Originfnn LaPusso (@Originfnn) reported

@bazmorganzx BROOOOOO @Optus IM SUEING UR *** WTF IS THIS BULLSHIT

  • nitecoder Chris (@nitecoder) reported

@corduroy @Optus I looked up how much it will cost me. Not only are they **** with this data breach, my new house often only has SOS reception inside. Terrible.

  • corduroy Josh (Pants Parody) (@corduroy) reported

Now I am no longer an @Optus customer. It will cost me $400 to get away from them, but I will not trust a company that negligently gave away my data.

  • corduroy Josh (Pants Parody) (@corduroy) reported

@Optus I left Telstra 20 years ago, after a billing fiasco that took many months to resolve, and now I’m back. All I need is for them to keep my personal information secure, but I would love if they can show me that billing and support is better now.

  • mealzy87 Mealz (@mealzy87) reported

Why is @SBSOnDemand stream quality so poor? Optus sport copped it 4 years ago. It feels like I’m watching the live game through a computer using windows95.

  • daveshearer daveshearer (@daveshearer) reported

@Optus Surely when ‘my call is so important to you’ and I’ve called three times, you have my complaints about your rude staff on file.

  • DaleHof1234 Dale, fangirling PRGuy. Always. 🌈 (@DaleHof1234) reported

@StuddertNatalie I left Optus when they cancelled my plan and it doubled. I had been with them from day ONE of their existence. I'm on NBN with my new provider after an horrific journey on dial up, but we went to therapy and now we are doing great. I have never used all my data.

  • Ansel43678544 Ansel Dsouza (@Ansel43678544) reported

@Optus really really poor Customer Service, I can't believe what a customer has to go through to get something really basic done. Your agents that are managing the chat are ridiculous.
