@elipriaulx @lauroralei I'm seriously looking at changing numbers as well now because of this ****. Even if I don't. As soon as the time is right I'm going to move to another provider. Sick of Optus's ****.

@byhemechi @Optus The info is sold on for things like fake ids i assume? Years ago someone used my name and birthday with police. Found out when i was asked why i failed to appear in court over assaulting my wife. Never been married.

I also had to direct the customer support agent to where the FAQ about the breach was on their own website. They also didn't appear to know anything about Optus's own offer to offer third party monitoring for impacted customers.

@sassycarrie @Optus I mean I do know they've also been sending emails to people saying they weren't part of the attack, so I guess they're clarifying....but to act like all that personal info that's been stolen isn't really important)we shouldn't be concerned is a load of crap

I take my Optus email is part of the data hack given the **** emails and sms that have risen significantly in the past 48 hours
-
Dr Buzzo (@BuzzoDr) reported
@Optus @rico_wallaby In the coming days Optus will come out blaming their customers for the breach. They blame the customer for everything else they do wrong.

Stefano Truglia (@big_td5) reported
@Optus Better be waving all fees for a damn long time because of this data breach. Will be switching to another provider

@Lowry_16 @Optus The email is so ****, it's like "oh don't worry, they don't have your Optus password", meanwhile they got names, addresses, DOB, licence and passport numbers: all the stuff that can be used to apply for credit or ID Optus should pay for credit monitoring for all affected
