  • Zaunny Tom Zaunmayr (@Zaunny) reported from Derby, State of Western Australia

Day 2: how any business happens in Derby is beyond me, truly the worst reception in an established town I have experienced. Telstra, Optus, Govt etc should be offering free service until they fix this mess.

  • ABZand Adrian Zandberg (@ABZand) reported

@DavidLeyonhjelm This is a poor take. First, the aggrieved party is current and former customers of Optus who now have serious, possibly irreversible consequences. Optus will almost certainly be proven to have been criminally negligent in handling these data. The incompetence is/was astounding.

  • bollgare Matt (@bollgare) reported

@AnmreS I'm with Optus, I hang up any data screening calls? They are not being very clear about how it happened? Maybe I'm just not informed.

  • NiKKi_E13 Nikki (@NiKKi_E13) reported

@dancer_61 @Zoppy_McZop @Nick56412479 We’d be stupid to think our data isn’t being stored by other companies. Government law needs to change to protect privacy. Optus have provided steps to take but working state by state, claim they’re also contacting those most affected first.

  • rapidashVGC TJ (@rapidashVGC) reported

Optus can go suck my toe. How’d all my **** get leaked…🥹🥹🥹

  • trevthetruckie TREVOR (@trevthetruckie) reported

Optus data breach is not on their own. Telstra recently dispatched three new iPhones to a fraudulent order. The Telstra Customer was particularly concerned with how this online order was authenticated. The customer told me his passport was used.

  • samr6003 SamR 🌸 (@samr6003) reported

@CeeJay_au Exactly !! Trying to play it down as not that bad. As soon as I get my ID sorted, bye bye Optus.

  • jaquix173 💧 Jackie (@jaquix173) reported

@SquizzSTK Optus has become a 5 letter word! Arrogance, ignorance and incompetence on steroids! So I've changed from having them as my provider. Why reward poor performance? Got a better deal elsewhere. Less money, more data and can bank it. Plus international calls to 28 countries!

  • annieljensen Bye Bi & GLTQIA Smoko (@annieljensen) reported

@karenandrewsmp Reminding us to never let a Lib/Nats government into power ever again. You know, the ones who allowed Optus to get away with a lax privacy policy. The ones who love getting rid of red tape. The ones who let corporates do whatever they want & then bail em out.

  • nvidbyall thebagz (@nvidbyall) reported

@DavidLeyonhjelm FYI anyone using Optus now has grounds to terminate their contract. So contact the TIO

  • RealLuckyPhil Phillip 🇦🇺 (@RealLuckyPhil) reported

@SenSHenderson @SkyNewsAust @AlboMP Psst wake up Sarah look over your shoulder at your colleague Paul Fletcher who having worked in a senior role for #Optus lowered their security requirements while in Govt. #OptusHack Are you really that stupid no one would notice
