  • iammrdom Mr Dom (@iammrdom) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

I’m stuck thinking about my mobile carrier, so I stay with an Optus MVNO or go to a Telstra ‘full service’ MVNO. It’s complicated. There’s $10 a month in it between the two companies.

  • rovingrob Rob Scriva (@rovingrob) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Is the Optus network cooked in Adelaide? So slow. Can’t even checkin

  • paulnudeisbest Living life naked (@paulnudeisbest) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

After 25 years, & yet another data breach, this latest was the final straw... Goodbye @Optus ... If you can't even bother with basic protection of my data, why should I continue paying you for a less than stellar service? Just an hour to port everything to a more reliable telco.

  • adriankhall AKH 🇦🇺 (@adriankhall) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus is there an NBN outage in the Klemzig area? Mobile phone service this morning was OKAY. Thanks!

  • bow55213735 John Bowman (@bow55213735) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Asher_Wolf @pully8 @OAICgov I had a free month, the following day after it expired Optus was compromised. I wanted to cancel my account prior to the day before the free month ended. So I took my modem back, but was told I could only cancel the account if I bought the used modem. If I had a faulty modem YES!

  • iammrdom dynamic island dom (@iammrdom) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Seems like @Optus is going to avoid the repercussions of a data leak. Maybe a good chance to look at their offering and price it accordingly to their network quality. Lower prices to add customers.

  • STEVEFI14205588 STEVE FISCHER (@STEVEFI14205588) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@sammyjcomedian Sammy was still smiling. Sadly this is close to the truth it's not at all absurd. Yet we pay so little for those who serve us. They cop the crap from poor management decisions. Hey @Optus have you not heard of reputational damage?

  • nartazartaz natasha alexandra w (@nartazartaz) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

turns out #4G on #Optus or #Amaysim is faster than @NBN_Australia to download 65MB file from @ITMastersCSU as NBN (25min) was slower than 4G (30sec) on this file - it was network or router not server

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@KatiesMum4 Hi Geeta, sorry to hear about your ongoing Optus app issue. Can you please direct message us to confirm the make / model of the handset you are using? Kartik

  • RCoops1978 Rob Bhai (@RCoops1978) reported

@innocent_abroad @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 Telstra wasn't privatised for another 10 years after the entry of Optus So that is not a success of privatisation that is a success of deregulation Once we privatised Telstra the infrastructure turned to **** and the competition started to slide Nice try tho

  • innocent_abroad Andy Wright-Slava Ukraini🇺🇦 (@innocent_abroad) reported

@level5apartment @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 So what? Why is foreign ownersip a problem? The question was whether privatisation had ever worked. It clearly did in the case of telephony. Foreign participation in the Australian market is normal. No one makes you use Optus. You are welcome to use Australian privatised Telstra.

  • sharon_craig66 Sharon (@sharon_craig66) reported

@Optus @Optus “experiencing some problems” is an understatement. We have no service AT ALL!

  • LukeCar13907972 Luke Carter (@LukeCar13907972) reported

@innocent_abroad @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 Everyone needs to know 2 things, Vodaphone (3) built a large portion of the Telstra network and Optus built the cable connections too US and the optic fibre connect on the east coast. So privatisation worked for us in telecom!
