@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews My wife is a former customer of Optus who had personal information stolen. Why has Optus retained personal information of former customers, surely the need for that information has passed and should have been deleted.

  • Libster_VoteYes Libster (@Libster_VoteYes) reported

@RonniSalt @Optus It shouldn't be about communications & PR; it should be about ensuring the security of customer data.

  • LikeNarnia Narnia (with a P) 🚜 (@LikeNarnia) reported

Why is the Gov paying for new licences for @Optus customers? Surely @optus should be paying @VicRoads directly. and immediately. Gov shouldn't pay for corporate **** ups

i knew gladys was gonna do something stupid at optus.

  • SueChangwe Sue Changwe (@SueChangwe) reported

@Optus @IsaacsonMarie Well, you've contacted me but I don't see any support you are offering me. My information is out there already. Can you undo what's been done? Of course not, so stop with the nonsense. I've no confidence in you at all

  • DickJACroft **** (@DickJACroft) reported

@notabotfr @Alicedkc @Optus In my experience it’s not usually the sec teams fault but an organisational failure that leads to this sort of incident

  • 10NewsFirst 10 News First (@10NewsFirst) reported

"I therefore seek your earliest confirmation that Optus will cover the passport application fees of any customer affected by this breach whose passport information was disclosed and who choose to replace their currently valid passport."

  • earllequin Earllequin (@earllequin) reported

@AnthonyLucas30 @SenatorWong @Optus As I said elsewhere: The cost issue aside, passport processing time also needs to be addressed. Having one’s passport info out there for the next 3 months is a rather huge matter of concern.

  • carolduncan Carol Duncan (@carolduncan) reported

@Optus Still trying to find out if I’m impacted by the breach or not. Some support and info would be great.

  • TorSamundsett Tor Samundsett (@TorSamundsett) reported

Seen a few tweeps asking why Optus had **** like Licence numbers. Cast your mind back to 2017 and the Metadata & Data retention laws & all of us in Cyber Sec shouting that it was a ******* bad idea. Anyway, we told you so.
