@Optus what is going on with your tech support? For a month at least the only update I’ve received is that the ‘fixer team’ won’t respond to your customer service people? I’ve gotten nowhere for 2 months and my issue is still unresolved..

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Hello. I was an Optus customer and thank god I changed. How do I found out if you have my personal details away as well?

@Optus @RunnerSA18 To be clear, the only reason this attack was successful was because of your poor security practices - would also be good if you explained why you were holding peoples identity information after completing idv and credit checks? Seems like a pretty big risk you opted into there

@xsvetac @Optus It is many levels of bull ****. The only thing that they have said I can do is have a pin on the account so my phone number can’t be transferred. I had to ask ffs. Will be asking that they pay ongoing for credit alerts,

@TheCyclonesSka @strangerous10 @Optus Corporations need to be able to track down the masses when/if they refuse to pay their accounts.....it makes the work of Dunn & Bradstreet so much easier to find you.

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Will Optus compensate its customers for the time, money and stress it’ll cost them to change passwords, cancel compromised accounts, and get new passport and license numbers?

@rainbowdefault @Optus Yeah, it'd be nice if they said "we've warned all relevant parties that people may be spoofing your identity soon" but it's more a "sucks to be you lol" email

@IrinaAsanova1 Thanks. I was able to read the whole article. It’s good reading. But my original response on 12 month monitoring subscription was a dig at Optus, I already do that. I’m more annoyed at their arrogance in handling this issue.

@Optus you guys totally downplay the severity and accountability you have over the breach of our data. What measures have you put in place to stop somebody using my info from doing illegal sim swap and doing more damage to me ?

Helpful email from @Optus : "Never click on any links that look suspicious and never provide your passwords, or any personal or financial information." Well you've already provided my personal information, haven't you

@NickMonkey42 @xsvetac @Optus I just called & they don’t allow you to add a pin to your account anymore. The only security is the one- time code they text when you call. The big bosses at Optus should at least ensure their customer service teams all have the correct info, we’re all being told different things
