@Optus so just called and got to a operator who transfers me and the line gets cut. Good work for a communications company. This poor service is too common with Optus and I’m really looking at taking the family and business back to @VodafoneGroup or @Telstra.

  • wengywong Weng Wong (@wengywong) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Been with @Optus for over 23 years now but looks like it is time to take my business elsewhere due to their unresponsiveness and lack of customer support/care...poor form @Optus, very disappointing after all this time

  • suechook Susie 🌹 (@suechook) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus 3/1 Mills street South Brighton South Australia 5048 part (2) If the problem is not external the box on the outside of the building needs to be checked. The box needs a more secure locking mechanism

  • suechook Susie 🌹 (@suechook) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus How stupid are Optus don’t have app anymore so can’t send latest bill! Who employs these muppets.Cant call as keep getting cut off. Identity has been provided, Ombudsman will get call tomorrow

  • Mikey_Nicholson Mikey Nicholson (@Mikey_Nicholson) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

  • wengywong Weng Wong (@wengywong) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@TPG_Telecom are no better than @Optus, two complaints now lodged with the Ombudsman. Come on telcos, lift your customer service

  • GrantTDavies A/Prof Grant Davies (@GrantTDavies) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus Yes please. I have moved into a development that does not have nbn but has opticomm so I can’t sign on to Optus broadband. I have been a customer for around 2 decades and want to retain my email account. Is there a way to retain it?

  • wengywong Weng Wong (@wengywong) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus Second time a NBN technician has not bothered to come, well done @Optus, such great customer service. You guys are a joke.

  • drnicktellis Dr Nick Tellis (@drnicktellis) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@NBN_Australia Hello there Imagine my joy when this solved my problem That will make two of us imagining a solution to this 💩 Sending me to an IVR that sends me a text is not a solution You can DM me... @Telstra should have gone with @Optus

  • ABlueSkyandaCoo christopher maland (@ABlueSkyandaCoo) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus 3/1 Mills street South Brighton 5048 part(3) I cannot contact Optus any other way at this time. If the problem is in the box (on the outside of the building) a more secure locking mechanism must be provided. If not please change my contract to wireless.

  • returnofsmith Paul Mizzi (@returnofsmith) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Thanks @Optus for your inconsistent internet speeds on your wireless broadband service. Sunday night movie was ruined by constant buffering even after many router resets. $800+ a year and I can’t even be confident to invite friends over for a movie 😡😡😡😡😡

  • GrantTDavies A/Prof Grant Davies (@GrantTDavies) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Hey @Optus your complaints process is broken. Made a complaint online on 24 Feb. The response was someone would contact me within 2 bus days. SMS from Nathaniel an ‘Expert’ in the customer resolution team on day 2 saying he’d make contact within another 2 bus days. Crickets since

  • ABlueSkyandaCoo christopher maland (@ABlueSkyandaCoo) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus 3/1 Mills street South Brighton 5048 (do not wait for me to contact you) Check for external errors immediately. If not send someone over immediately to check the inside of the box & provide a more secure locking mechanism. If you cannot do this ship me a wireless kit

  • ILM126 Treble Sketch (Want Desktop Assist? Check profile) (@ILM126) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@GamersNexus @HardwareUnboxed Though I've got mine on a special early-bird deal, pay 30AUD for like 55GB per month. Though am using the Optus network so it's usually congested during the day and only get 50/20Mbps with my S10+ in the middle of the night xD Which is the same speed as my NBN :P

  • Cruedevil Sir Dave 'Cruedevil' (@Cruedevil) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Asked @Optus a simple question via their message system in their APP. The ‘chat person’ asked to give him/her a minute to look up details. 37 min later she will ‘just be a minute’. WTF? Don’t worry about it FFS

  • c_verdicchio Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Optus you’ve done it again. #Floptus I’ve tried to assist setting up my mums home phone for a month now. You cancelled her nbn setup visit and still haven’t contacted her after a week and now send her another nbn box. You guys are the worst for customer service. @acccgovau

  • effielarocca Teresa LaRocca (@effielarocca) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@Telstra 1/2. 2,weeks ago I suggested we switch from @Optus to Telstra, up our speed to 50mps as your bundle seemed better than Optus. Now we have no internet (which seemed to work on an Optus network) and yesterday my sister lost her job. She has 2 weeks left of her job and now

  • johnjgirvan John J Girvan (@johnjgirvan) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

Optus now send videos in their email to help you understand your bill #sloptus

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheRealIamRob Robert Byrne (@TheRealIamRob) reported

@Raf_Epstein so "...Optus to hand over customer data to the banks...". Would that be done through some yet-to-be-developed API? This will just create more coupling in an already complex system, making the next major system failure even more catastrophic. It must be done.

  • ShaneBryan_IT Shane Bryan (@ShaneBryan_IT) reported

@sickoslater Yep and now #Optus has invalidated the drivers licence & passport numbers of millions of Australians from being viable to use as ID. It’s a nuclear **** up beyond imagining.

  • dez_blanchfield Dez Blanchfield (@dez_blanchfield) reported

@sash_savage @Optus yea nah.. don't break it down.. the last think I need is someone without a cyber security background telling me with 38 years in this space "what cyber security is" ;-)

  • sickoslater Sickoslater (@sickoslater) reported

    @Optus **** YOU PIECES OF ****!!!!!!

  • elliskate8722 Kate Ellis (@elliskate8722) reported

@Optus has transposed my number in their back systems making it impossible for me to receive my OTP. their suggestion? Travel kilometres out of my way to a store to fix a simple back office mistake. The number it should be is literally on my bill. #whatajoke

  • davispg Paul (@davispg) reported

@_MollieGorman @Optus "Our services are safe" … while any other services you have that depend on identity information we just spilled like last nights bad wine, well, that's not our problem.

  • sickoslater Sickoslater (@sickoslater) reported

    @Optus go **** yourselves, seriously

  • pitdroidtech Max (@pitdroidtech) reported

@sharitags @Labor4Brisbane @ClareONeilMP I reckon the store didn't know what they were doing. I've been with Optus for over 20 years. I've never had to use a passport. Broader issue is they shouldn't keep the ID info, but I think you've been ****** around by a **** sales person in this case.

  • ShaneBryan_IT Shane Bryan (@ShaneBryan_IT) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I think better wording is needed for the #optus incident. My understanding is that it wasn’t a hack, it wasn’t a breach, nor an attack & that the data was leaked through incompetence. I’m still reading articles about it mentioning terms such as “firewall” in ways implying a hack.

  • bretkohl bret coleman (@bretkohl) reported

@MultiplyBlessed @liamsutton32 @lavosaurus Irrespective of the relevant law pertinent to Optus - ACMA/AML or Privacy Act, it’s an incorrect interpretation that verification data must be retained. The Know Your Customer part of the AML act says an entity must have a risk based verification process…
