@AdelaideMail Get an Optus one. You can call someone for 9’59 and then hang up, ring them back and you won’t be charged (between 8pm and 8am)

  • miriamsilva595
Miriam Silva (@miriamsilva595) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Terrible customer service from @Optus taking $500 direct debut from my Dad’s account instead of $70 and not giving him back his money. He has been 5 times to the Optus office and phoned 3 times and they just hang up on him. Very poor customer service. Please fix it

  • RachelBlack2009
Rachel Black (@RachelBlack2009) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus I have tried to get hold of you numerous times on the phone but the delays are so long that I’m told you may not answer today. This tweet is just evidence as documentation that I am doing all I can to resolve an issue but my hands are tied as you’re too short staffed.

  • StephenB_adl
Stephen Blakeney (@StephenB_adl) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

I spoke to @Optus about cancelling my service and part of the package to keep me was a 12 months subscription to Equifax - so wait, do I need it or not? I don’t think it should be an optional extra 🤨

  • ILM126
Treble Sketch (Want Desktop Assist? Check profile) (@ILM126) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@GamersNexus @HardwareUnboxed Though I've got mine on a special early-bird deal, pay 30AUD for like 55GB per month. Though am using the Optus network so it's usually congested during the day and only get 50/20Mbps with my S10+ in the middle of the night xD Which is the same speed as my NBN :P

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus @VodafoneAU Still on the phone for 30-mins and this is a mess. All your staff have no idea. Expect a formal complaint to the @TelcoOmbudsman on how you charge for services not delivered and how you don’t put on your records your discounts you quote to get us to sign up too!

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus so just called and got to a operator who transfers me and the line gets cut. Good work for a communications company. This poor service is too common with Optus and I’m really looking at taking the family and business back to @VodafoneGroup or @Telstra.

Don't think anyone realises within 10 years, it's possible that Onlyfans will be hacked. Just like Optus and Medibank. Doesn't help that the media are blowing it up like it's a potential way to become famous either. It's something everyone on it will eventually live to regret.

  • realLeoJames
Leo James (@realLeoJames) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@DimitriPeppas_ Ugh I wish. Optus said I could upgrade for free after 12 months. Never got an email! I think when this contract runs out, I’ll buy a phone out right and SIM card it...

  • cjsheldon2012
Christopher (@cjsheldon2012) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@SouthOzJohnny @Optus In the Optus app, go to more (3 dots down the bottom of the page), then profile and scroll down. That’s where I found mine

  • bloodhoundau
anthony ashton (@bloodhoundau) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@verbaliza @Optus I used to have that with @Telstra what a mob of c. Ill never do business with them again

  • harryxroyalty

@Optus hello, can you please explain why tf your reception is so bad at the moment? For the past 2 weeks I’ve barely gotten 2 bars! I can barely make a phone call.

  • bloodhoundau

@LawrieColliver Oh gosh. This is similar to optus. Who had issues with broadcasting the rugby world cup.

  • ABlueSkyandaCoo
christopher maland (@ABlueSkyandaCoo) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus 3/1 Mills street South Brighton South Australia 5048 part (2) If the problem is not external the box on the outside of the building needs to be checked. The box needs a more secure locking mechanism

@Optus @Icy_Remote I'm also trying to register a SIM for a non English speaking friend. Online help is not working

  • rovingrob

Is the Optus network cooked in Adelaide? So slow. Can’t even checkin

  • ianparry9
paz (@ianparry9) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@bennydee80 @Optus Learnt this 13 years ago Ben. As expected they haven’t lifted their game. The sooner you realise that service and reliability is worth more than a few extra $$ you will then stay clear of Optus for life. If they offered free service and phones I would still say no to them

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus you’ve done it again. #Floptus I’ve tried to assist setting up my mums home phone for a month now. You cancelled her nbn setup visit and still haven’t contacted her after a week and now send her another nbn box. You guys are the worst for customer service. @acccgovau

  • phileboy11

Hey @Optus who in their right mind designed a security system to send a one time code to an email address when I call for support about my internet not working? #AskingForAFriend

@Birdsperch Clearly no contingency for terrestrial fail [all eggs in one basket] even with satellite backup downlink distribution relies on terrestrial bearers (circuits), Even Optus with satellite support incorporates terrestrial distribution -Contingency planning is key & costs money

@MickamiousG @Starlink When starlink finally get their mobile plans into Australia Telstra will be done within 2 years...one of Vodafone and Optus will survive as a budget telco, but people won't be paying Telstra prices for dogshit service

  • ben_nexhip
    Ben Nexhip (@ben_nexhip) reported

@Cazzawhy @TigerAncient @SenSHenderson It’s also important that an opposition member of parliament can hold an MP accountable and be aware of lack of access to emergency services to the public in which they serve. Remembering what happened to Optus when people died as a result of losing the same access that was lost yesterday.

  • RaymondKeown3
    Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported

@TimjboAU I will be more than interested if this has been issues related to routers in call centres, and what was the country of origin, I did recommend long ago to Optus the reasoning for not using a certain China Telco provider. I wonder if history has repeated?

  • Ayyyyybeeeee
    Arthur Barrett (@Ayyyyybeeeee) reported

Here in Australia we’ve got the semi-annual hand wringing over cellular carriers and emergency calls - is it time to ditch SS7 for VoIP/SIP and switch from single operator SIM from Telstra/Optus to multi-operator SIM like SimBase or ThingsMobile?
