@allaningleton @Optus Surely someone working there would see how completely stupid that is and take it back, complete crooks mate, phone company’s these days are a nightmare to deal with
-

-
Prof Inger Mewburn (@thesiswhisperer) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
So, @Optus put up my phone bill because 'inflation', but has done nothing about my complaint about having no coverage many times over the past 4 months. I guess it's back to @Telstra for me, but I don't hold out much hope it will be better. Duopolies suck.
-
Simon Chan (@simoncha_n) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@timburrowes Most email services that Optus would be using or have the ability to use can easily handle that volume of emails. Amazon Web Services sells SES (Simple Email Service) that is very cheap and scales considerably.
-
Jessicah Mullins (@JesMullins) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
A week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…
-
Col Copeland (@Colincopeland2) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

-
Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Way to wreck a Sunday, try to contact @Optus to fix their substandard offering.
-
Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Nothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.
-
♛Ƙring (@mariekringxx) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

-
Andy Marsh (@stillupsocut) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Fiona Edwards (@fiona_feeeb) reported
@Optus @w3b3d1g1 Can you help me too Optus? I cannot get hold of ANY customer service. I am STILL waiting to hear from Optus following the first email a week ago telling me my ID etc had been compromised. Can I PLEASE have the Equifax code? @ClareONeilMP #OptusDataBreach #OptusClassAction
-
Bee (@berniebern) reported
@MattMcKee2533 @tomcollins76 @joshgnosis Ex customer service rep for Optus. They keep license and passports numbers as a line item in their CRM which is NOT required other than for credit purposes. Put simply that info should be de-identified as there is no likelihood of re-identification occurring via those means
-
Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported
found @optus will have to pay $1Bn to cover: 1) $179/y Equifax, 2) $29 for new driver's licence 3) $159 for new passport * 2.8M - #databreach expense is close to closing down Optus - much cheaper to hire a security officer for $100K (1/10000 of expense of data breach)
-
joe blackswan (@JoeBlackswan) reported
@BellTowerTimes I quite like "the craypot" moniker. I never use Optus Stadium, most people are not sure where a stadium is when the frequently changed naming rights sponsor is used.
-
Justin Pereira™ 🇦🇺 (@JPereira1974) reported
I have been an @Optus customer for over 20 years. I have signed numerous new phone contracts during this time and have been required to produce photo identification every time to initiate those new contracts.
-
Rose Roberts (@drcarrot98) reported
@magician_gin @hughriminton Unfortunately I’ve gone through the contract with a fine tooth comb and nothing in the contract covers anything related to them keeping your information secure, plenty about what the customer has to do to meet the contract but nothing about Optus’s obligations.
-
Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported
so @optus will fight to not pay any compensation for 2.8M with #databreach identity compromise so they don't close down but courts may decide to close them when they declare bankruptcy
-
DBLE david (@DavidDble) reported
Optus: Former Virgin Mobile, Gomo customers could also be victims of Optus data hack == Albo - do you really believe that Optus could have prevented this hacking scam ??? if you do then you are an incompetent idiot getting very bad advice
-
Narelle P (@p_narelle) reported
@Hadfickla @domknight @Optus Most Australians that use #MyGov haven't realised, that the user agreement is faulty. An in my opinion it raises issues of it's legality, being that technically My Gov isn't responsible for My Gov. But of course nothing is being done about, even MP staffers are surprised.
-
Justin Pereira™ 🇦🇺 (@JPereira1974) reported
I'm well aware of your current policy of only contacting customers if you believe they've been effected by Optus's recent privacy breach, but I find it very hard to believe that my details have not been disclosed having been a customer for so long.
