Optus Issues Reports Near Uriarra Village, Australian Capital Territory

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Uriarra Village and nearby locations:

  • KBGoodness 🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.

  • Colincopeland2 Col Copeland (@Colincopeland2) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus is there any problems with the network in the ACT. Its very, very slow tonight

  • stillupsocut Andy Marsh (@stillupsocut) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus I had two wireless broadband plans and as soon as I terminate one my speeds slow to under 1mb/s. Been two weeks with no solution from your tech support.

  • voroguecp Jamien Rees (@voroguecp) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

You just have to love @Optus. 2nd time in a few months they have cancelled our work email. Whole account system is attached to it. No warning. Just cancelled. Thousands of dollars at a stake. Service response, ‘nothing we can do’.

  • sweetgilly Gillian Smith (@sweetgilly) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    @Optus Not sure if I’ll get a resolution from @Optus I sent a dm

  • sandraom Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus I cancelled my Optus adsl connection at the end of January after significant problems and more than a week without service & now I’ve had my previous direct debit used to take funds out on 17 February. There is no end to the terrible service by optus.

  • AusLoafer Marko (@AusLoafer) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Damn it seems George didn't lose the ******** shades at Optus Stadium... #Masterchefau

  • sandraom Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Way to wreck a Sunday, try to contact @Optus to fix their substandard offering.

  • sandraom Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@yodaberg @Optus I’ve had alot of problems with them lately & the only thing that worked was going into a store. Chat is probably the next most helpful & you can get a transcript of what they’ve promised to action.

  • sweetgilly Gillian Smith (@sweetgilly) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Well @Optus no service after act storms last night…what are you doing about it?!

  • Fabulous_Red Leon Ha (@Fabulous_Red) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

I do hope that @Optus will match 1:1 the amount of data #Optus customers have donated generously this #Christmas to help drive positive changes in our community. LH

  • refjess Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.

  • JayJayK75 50ShadesofJay (@JayJayK75) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@allaningleton @Optus Surely someone working there would see how completely stupid that is and take it back, complete crooks mate, phone company’s these days are a nightmare to deal with

  • P_Glo Phoebe #Raiders4Life (@P_Glo) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@RedFiddler Yep pretty good deal. Don’t have too many problems with them. Partner is with Optus and does nothing but complain.

  • TimShawTweets Tim Shaw (@TimShawTweets) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus get your f#cking sh#t together and fix digital access in #FranklinACT right now unless you want a whole world of media pain directed your way real soon. Namaste @TimShawTweets @2CC

  • mariekringxx ♛Ƙring (@mariekringxx) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

hello @Optus i am network-less atm what happened

  • JesMullins Jessicah Mullins (@JesMullins) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

A week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…

  • Tikkaspecial Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.

  • AmandaWorldwide Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Nothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.

  • sandraom Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Why am I not surprised it’s this hard to cancel my @Optus broadband account after they told me my ADSL connection had been cut, with no notification.

  • materium jt (@materium) reported

I'm not currently an @Optus customer and haven't been since like 2018 - I was naive to think this would have meant my personal data was no longer on their databases... But turns out it was =(. Just got an email from Optus notifying I was affected...

  • redambition OverExhaustedAmbition ✨ (@redambition) reported

I asked @optus live chat if they would be paying for a credit monitoring service and got told they wouldn’t give me a discount on my account… then they closed the conversation.

  • bbocean2 🌸bbocean🌸 (@bbocean2) reported

@daisymay4263 That's a really serious breach, with all that info identity theft would be very easy. I hope nothing comes of it. Bad form from Optus 👎

  • Kazie151 Kazie (@Kazie151) reported

Just got an email from Optus saying as a previous customer I've been impacted. I wanna know why ******** they're still holding onto my details when I'm no longer a customer. Especially ID deets. WTAF?!

  • turquoisebbear Turquoise Bear (@turquoisebbear) reported

@ClareONeilMP Optus needs to pay for ongoing credit report monitoring for all affected customers. And clearly set out the dispute resolution and compensation process for any loss. And frankly, people need a direct right of action for privacy breaches as has been recommended but not legislated.

  • bluemoonmonday SUMMER BLUE (@bluemoonmonday) reported

  • MadeByHandGame1 Made By Hand Games (@MadeByHandGame1) reported

@newscomauHQ got an email saying as an ex customer my data has been part of this. guess i wait and see if something bad happens from it, and if so, if i end up being part of a large scale legal action again @Optus

  • Barrymcbride7 Barry mcbride🌸 (@Barrymcbride7) reported

@MadsMelbourne @Optus Yes I also received this and yes this is an outrageous situation. Your personal information should be removed and not held onto after you are no longer using their service. It’s just another way to sell your information behind your back and now we’re compromised due to their crap
