@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.

-
Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Nothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.
-
Phoebe #Raiders4Life (@P_Glo) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@RedFiddler Yep pretty good deal. Don’t have too many problems with them. Partner is with Optus and does nothing but complain.
-
🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.

Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@yodaberg @Optus I’ve had alot of problems with them lately & the only thing that worked was going into a store. Chat is probably the next most helpful & you can get a transcript of what they’ve promised to action.
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Optus I cancelled my Optus adsl connection at the end of January after significant problems and more than a week without service & now I’ve had my previous direct debit used to take funds out on 17 February. There is no end to the terrible service by optus.
-
Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

-
Jessicah Mullins (@JesMullins) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
A week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…
-
Jamien Rees (@voroguecp) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
You just have to love @Optus. 2nd time in a few months they have cancelled our work email. Whole account system is attached to it. No warning. Just cancelled. Thousands of dollars at a stake. Service response, ‘nothing we can do’.
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Why am I not surprised it’s this hard to cancel my @Optus broadband account after they told me my ADSL connection had been cut, with no notification.
Optus Issues Reports

-
Pirate CyberKrakenbae Vonhelsnuff (@vonhelsnuff) reported
@ZiptieZoe @Jaihawkins @Jeremy_Kirk Given you authorise Optus to collect that data to share with authorised parties and in theory, this may fall into the definition of an authorised party... I think what it comes down to here is the law doesn't account for human error compounding technical deficiencies.
-
SwabianGenocide (@SwabianGenocide) reported
@HackerCyberSec Optus claimed to have a "sophisticated" security apparatus in place. Management and directors share blame for essentially lying to the public, and the techies for gross amateurish incompetence. "With what they've got" - poor developers
-
Game Boy Mitch (@Lemmy7003) reported
@Stoggaz Optus have already told people to essentially **** off
-
Tempe Tweeter (@tempe_tweeter) reported
@Optus I am one of your many customers but as of this morning I have yet to be advised via a simple email as to what’s happening with my personal data etc and to be assured that everything is under control. Your public relations basically sucks. @kbrspace
-
Dean Cook (@Deanishes) reported
@Doziam @Optus There are others out there that Aussies are recommending, but I just think I'll go a safe route. And at least this way I also get signal when I'm out camping, which only happens 50% of the time currently.
-
Onno Benschop (@owh) reported
Is it just me who thinks that Optus is doing it's absolute best to downplay their responsibility in their data breach? Their systems are absolutely archaic. I was last an Optus customer in 2008. Didn't stop them from sending me several bills last year.
-
pollyblues (@pollyblues) reported
Optus you can just cancel my last bill in compensation of all my private data being breached🖕🏿
-
Annette Fila (@AnnetteSandford) reported
Well done @Optus , you’ve compromised your “valued” customers details, a security service included in our bill, and your compensation is “we’re really sorry”. How about you scrap out bills for the rest of the year? Honestly what are you going to do for your “Valued” customers???
-
Max (@pitdroidtech) reported
@AusGovSlave @ClareONeilMP It's still appalling that Optus allowed this to happen. They should not have had the data exposed to a public network by an api being tested. It's incredibly stupid and lax IT practice. Some IT boffins need to be fired no question. And Optus have to accept responsibility 100%
-
Kitt 🐯 (@kitt__m) reported
Got my email finally, found in spam folder like many others. This incident could not have been handled more poorly by Optus.
