@Optus I've had such a hard trouble with this hack. I lost my email account for work, all my invoices and due invoices are lost. Are you as a company going to pay the losses I've going to lose. But do I have to struggle to support my family because of your faults

Federal Minister Clare O'Neill had a crack at Optus about their lack of transparency. I'm not going to defend Optus, but given O'Neill is the member of a Govt wanting people to support a Voice to Parliament, without providing full details, she can't adopt the high moral ground.

I discovered that you have had me paying for someone else’s iPhone for the last 17 months. You send it to an address I’ve never lived at, and never bothered to get a copy of the persons ID who signed for it, and its never been activated with a number that’s on my account. @Optus

Marles said on insiders that optus treat personal info as an asset. What about ID required for mygov or centerlink. The network of private information ,bank accounts, medical and addresses that they have. Why is it OK for the govt to have All this data but not optus.

@randlight Optus main problem is not that it retained ID documents, most big businesss do, but the fact they didn't keep this information secure. Can't understand why this information needs to be retained after a person's ID has been confirmed. I think the govt is going to do something.

@macsween_prue @Optus I would say 80% of large businesses in this country are at the exact same level of Optus’ competency. And will only heed warnings after the fact - hack the **** out of them till they learn
