    @toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

    No doubt @Optus put the hacker on hold, left him there for 2 hours, transferred him to another operator to “help them further”, then hung up mid convo “accidentally” to avoid actioning anything.

    Never Optus customer yet took a month, & a complaint to ombudsman, for them to reverse giving me full details & all access, logon, password etc. to a complete stranger’s new phone account. Multiple emails & phone calls & completely incompetent processes. #incompetent #OptusHack

    @50six @Optus That's interesting since I had a family friend have 50k taken from their bank account and their identity stolen last year and they are still trying to get a new lisence number issued. Never got their money back either

    @Jeremy_Kirk How does this help former @Optus customers? @VicRoads won't change DL numbers: "If you’ve been notified by an organisation that a data breach may have exposed your licence details, but no fraud has taken place, VicRoads will NOT be able to change a driver licence number."

    @BoganWazza I’ve been with Optus since 1995 and I don’t want to change, this is the first problem I have had with them.

    The way Optus are handling this issue stacks up against the experience I had years ago when they mistakenly issued me with a contract and phone I hadn't ordered. Palmed it off as though I was a victim of identify theft rather than admit they'd stuffed up my order

    @9NewsAUS This is personal data which cannot be changed, passport, DOB, place of birth, etc it’s irreversible damage and as action just one email from no reply account for being sorry! Optus should be hold accountable.
