@LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

@kpmsubs @ClareONeilMP I've cancelled Optus, switched to a new provider & learned that Optus hadn't followed through with the cancellation & is still charging me. I've asked 3 times to speak with a supervisor & they won't put me through to someone in charge. No help at all, time for the Ombudsman.

Why is the government always too slow to act on anything urgent? They should have announced that every affected Optus customer can get a new drivers license, Medicare card and passport with brand new numbers on Day 1.

@SharynLeeMcG They keep records to validate your account and ensure the next time you call in, they can verify it is you, but those records are typically heavily encrypted and securely protected. This failure by Optus is seemingly simply not following elementary protocols. Very poor indeed!

@StGeorgeBank Thanks. Will save me some dosh too since it's a fee carrying card that I use for investment property expenses. It's just I don't trust the way StG responds to IT issues. It's a cultural thing. Ask @optus where that leads.

@kbrspace We called number in Philippines call centre you gave us in email.They couldn't give any information at all not even if my details was one the leaked on line. We're is the help? Organise a australian call centre that can help us .This is ridiculous. You should be sacked #optus
