@LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

@mjrowland68 I would like to a) hear Optus accept responsibility for the customer data that they collected, no matter how sophisticated the attack it was still up to them to protect it b) advise all customers if they were or were not affected and to what extent - don't leave us guessing

I received my #OptusHack email last wk. Ironically I rang @Optus a month ago to disconnect due to overcharging & poor customer "service". SO glad I took the $15 monthly bribe to STAY! Talk about bad timing AND a guy in #Optus Customer Retention who deserves a medal (more so NOW!)

@ashulz My wife was affected. She was never an Optus customer. She had been a customer of Virgin (or Vodafone, can't remember) before it was taken over by Optus Optus still had her info from how ever many years ago. That's not because of recent legislation. 1/

@lenoretaylor Trying to change my landline contract with #optusfail has been exasperating. Live chat, I store and customer ‘care’ line all unable or unwilling to do a simple task. Optus is in big trouble.

So as a @Optus customer I have no idea if I’ve been affected by this hacking. An email saying no you haven’t, is just as important as yes you have. Uncertainty is driving my anxiety through the roof #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach #Optus
