Police press conf on ABC right now. Fed up with hearing how complex this is - that’s been the answer for over a week now. @Optus need to issue a timeline for when customers will ALL be advised of the degree of data of theirs that was basically donated to the dark web by Optus.

BREAKING: After being dragged kicking & screaming by Labor, Optus has caved in & agreed to cover the costs of all replacement passports. Lucky we have a government pushing back on the Corporations. 👍 The Opposition‘s solution was for the tax payer to foot the bill! 🤬

@JadedTransWoman Can't speak re all resellers, but apparently Australia Post Mobile is unaffected despite using Optus as their carrier as AusPost store customer info themselves rather than passing it on to Optus

@9NewsAUS All the people who’s information was leaked should be compensated by @Optus to the tune of 2years free service. This leak is abhorrent to say the least. Customers should be up in arms demanding compensation. @Telstra will be diligently putting in all required programs

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Zero sympathy for companies who are breached like this, and any consequences that follow. This is the price of storing unecessarily large volumes of customer data. Don't want the consequence, then don't store the data. It's that simple.
