    @LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

    @StarofS @Optus I assume it’s only to customers who they have identified as being compromised. My wife is also an #Optus customer & she’s received no email, as yet.

    "I’m disappointed that we couldn’t prevent it" -- Optus CEO. There was nothing to prevent, all you had to do was keep the data safe. There was no attack, this was just negligence. This comes down to a bad practices and a bad internal culture @Optus #OptusDataBreach #databreach
