@Huawei_Europe Years ago #Optus have me a @Huawei loaner mobile phone while mine was sent off for repairs. It was the worst piece of junk I'd ever come across. I gave it back and bought myself a cheap, far superior @NokiaMobile . #Rubbish

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

Well I think I'll be staying with Telstra after all, after the garbage customer service I've received from @Optus this week. #notimpressed As a customer service rep myself, I know the value of good service. That ain't it, chief.

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

  • BrisketInTexas Chris Paul's #1 Fan (@BrisketInTexas) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Adelaid_H Oh **** that's nuts. I work at Optus and all the pros are listed as backorder atm

  • Gwyntaglaw Gwyntaglaw (@Gwyntaglaw) reported

Here’s the thing. I’m an Optus customer. Had an account with them for over 20 years. I can’t even remember what personal documents I submitted to them for ID back then. I have no idea what exposure I might even have.

  • hardenuppete Glen Schaefer (@hardenuppete) reported

@ServiceNSW @ellisoconnor Yes I am not stupid, thanks. I have read your information and note the difficult and lengthy process to replace my drivers license, then seek costs for replacement from Optus. This is a poor response and needs to be streamlined and made free to all those affected.

  • vincent_choy Vincent Choy (@vincent_choy) reported

WTH used @Optus app messaging that my account wasn't affected when i clearly got the message in email. Agent refused to give me case ID and only gave their optus ID as 107107 which is just a branch ID. Not a good UX wrt to handling #OptusDataBreach complaint REF: 1001478203

  • Annette86972326 Minister for Teas (@Annette86972326) reported

@EmjayMj2 Exactly, and how ******** are we to do that when we didn't even know Optus kept our data?.

  • jendudley Jen Dudley-Nicholson (@jendudley) reported

So the AFP's Operation Guardian will help the 10,000 Optus customers who had their ID stolen and exposed. First question: is someone going to contact them? #optusbreach

  • voodoo47 Lady ♏ 💉💉💉 (@voodoo47) reported

@bulldoglegend @leenystar We aren't talking about scams It was a data breach & some really personal information was released on darkweb enough to be able to provide proof of id over the phone. Regardless of consumer awareness there was nothing any Optus customer could have done to prevent this.

  • VonTonks kc (@VonTonks) reported

AFP: "We are continuing to investigate the cause of the data breach" The investigation: "Hey Optus, did you happen to leave your whole customer database on the internet?"

  • jxeeno ken tsang (@jxeeno) reported

so uhh i’m sure we’ll eventually get a “we had to cancel our holiday because DFAT couldn’t process our replacement passports in time after the optus breach” story

  • DeanRosario Dean Rosario (@DeanRosario) reported

And, Patricia Karvelas did not once ask Paul Fletcher to explain how the Privacy Legislation enacted by LNP Govt allowed Optus (& any other org) to retain confidential customer ID info after validation; or to retain any customer info after a contract is terminated?

  • BaloghGottlieb Gloria Balogh Gottlieb (@BaloghGottlieb) reported
