@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

Well I think I'll be staying with Telstra after all, after the garbage customer service I've received from @Optus this week. #notimpressed As a customer service rep myself, I know the value of good service. That ain't it, chief.

@newscomauHQ @Optus MUST accept responsibility and MUST compensate all customers who were affected. I'm seriously considering leaving, I'm out of contract so I can easily do so. I haven't been happy with them lately anyway. @Optus has gone WAY down in my books.

@DrSarahJWhite Given that you and others like you never signed up with Optus, never indicated acceptance their Ts and Cs, and weren't customers of Virgin at takeover ... this sounds ever so slightly like class action territory

I have been an Optus customer previously, so I searched my email for the last time I received any correspondence/bill from them. Nothing - so haven't been a recent customer. However, I just received an email as a "former customer" saying that my information has been compromised.

@Jeremy_Kirk The best way to explain this is to say that Optus did the digital equivalent of putting all the (printed) customer data in a dumpster, that someone else found. It was a mistake, and the sophistication of this 'attack' is so low it hardly qualifies..

@Optus an inside source tells me Optus still don't really know how to fix the issue of the stolen ID, given the amount and particularly sensitive nature data taken. Is that why customers are still in the dark about what Optus are doing to assist them? #Optus #OptusHack

So #optus seems to have an awful lot of time to cry & talk to the press meanwhile I still haven’t had any email correspondence from them telling me what’s happened or if I’m affected. If I wasn’t on here I wouldn’t even know yet. BAD FORM.
