    @Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

    @NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

    @oldjoeschmo @nineislands There's dozens of service providers, they all use one of Telstra, Optus maybe Vodafone. Yes, Aldi does use Telstra, I use Aldi, rated best pre paid service provider in AU often.

    I was last an @Optus customer over 10 years ago, yet I’ve been advised all my personal information has now been stolen in a major Optus cyber attack. How about all identifying personal information not be stored once you are no longer a customer? Why is it kept?

    @KoparaFallsKid @DanielAndrewsMP The whole point of wanting a new licence number is to stop fraud & Vic Roads say basically we won’t help until there is fraud. How about being proactive & try to assist in stopping the fraud in the first place? VR knows about the Optus breach & yet won’t to help.

    @TheMaskedUnit @MoarToast @Optus Even worse, no longer a customer and they still have your name, address d.o.b. and driving license / passport numbers on file. Heads must roll.

    @GladysB That first line in this post hasn’t aged well has it Gladys? Any comment on the data breach that has resulted in customers information being stolen? The pathetically non-existent customer security? Or on Optus being exposed for specifically NOT putting their customers first???

    @Dimitrios_1963 I also got an email from hopeless optus, the last i used their service was 2017 and they still had my info their database not sure for what reason... Now i am waiting for emails from Nigeria lol

    @davesag @Jeremy_Kirk They actually need to retain that data as per s187C of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, for the lifetime of the service and for 2 years following its termination. Where Optus failed was protecting that information from unauthorised access.

    @developerjack It's not that bad if it's designed into the system. Probably terrifying for Optus though.
