@toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

@ianclarkeAU If you have a business you need both, they never go down at the same time. This was the case with Optus and Telstra cable networks decades ago, if you had both and a firewall/router that handled either bridging or failover you were never off line. Mind you Telstra did get nasty in the early days because their billing system was lazy so you could send packets out on one service and pull down data on the other thus avoiding usage fees. πŸ€“

@QBCCIntegrity @Optus It speaks volumes about how bad Australia's situation is when it has to rely on an outfit like Optus to save lives.

Good. It took me 20 minutes to cancel my @Optus 5G for no reason other than they want to make it difficult

@heidimur In WA Transporth uses Fibre that runs thought every station and Private Wireless (LTE/4.9G): Transperth doesn't use Telstra or Optus for train-to-ground data. They built a custom, secure wireless network with 160+ dedicated radio masts along the tracks using licensed spectrum.

@Birdsperch Clearly no contingency for terrestrial fail [all eggs in one basket] even with satellite backup downlink distribution relies on terrestrial bearers (circuits), Even Optus with satellite support incorporates terrestrial distribution -Contingency planning is key & costs money
