    @toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

    @LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

    @7NewsMelbourne @abcnews @10NewsFirst Optus mobile network OUTAGE in Seaford VIC area since 7 am today, no signal, no updates, no timeframe. They've been working on those towers since April. Same communication and secrecy issues. Please run it on the news to wake them up.

    @Globalbiosec Sounds weird to make it possible to share data more widely to supposedly help those affected? I’m not even sure that Optus should be giving people’s data to the government?

    Loosening privacy laws to help deal with the fallout of a massive telco hack is very much on brand for Australian legislative "cyber security" If only Optus was mandated to retain more sensitive info, then it'd be much easier to work out who was hacked

    Maybe #Optus should offer all data breach victims a free phone* of their choice as part of a compensation program. *Network unlocked of course.
