    @LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

    So I’ve been affected by Optus’ data breach and I haven’t been a customer for so long! Argh apparently they’ve got my name, date of birth, email, phone number, address, and the numbers of my ID documents. Bit to be concerned about here 👍🏼

    As a long time customer of OPTUS (20+ years) it makes me laugh to hear them speak of concern & how they care for their customers. When they can offer a service at a realistic price to new customers & bluntly refuse to pass on a similar deal to loyal customers. CARE FACTOR = NIL !

    @optus should be held liable to every impacted customer for the harm & emotional distress inflicted by the hack. Those who have to get new drivers licenses & passport, Optus should pay for BOTH new documents AND an hourly rate for wasted time. #optusfail #optushack

    @agarner Absolutely 100% human error at @Optus. Not having processes in place to stop the exposure of customer data. Makes you wonder about the wisdom of extending all those @ConsumerData APIs into the Telco space. Are Optus fit to be a CDR Data Holder?
