@rustedon1962 @Optus Me, you & 2.8million more it seems. Well that is the number they say had the DL, Passport + DOB, address, phone/email etc stolen or as it now may appear, bad Black Hats on the Dark Web may have been allowed to just wander in through an open doorway on their system.

Dear @Optus I don’t want your offer of Equifax to try and chase down the horse that has bolted. I want at least the satisfaction of punching the **** out of the CTO and board members of @Optus Is this allowed @nswpolice ? Suspect not but I’ll take ignoring it as a tacit yes.

@troyhunt Should Optus feed in all their customer email addresses into hibp? Or is that a violation of privacy, versus waiting for it to show up on the (dark) web first (eventually)?

@Brodhe My provider wholesales from optus, I had an email from them within hours of this breach coming to light. They said their platform wasn't compromised. They did say that the only details of customers hacked were mobile numbers, Sim ID's and DoB's. Sounds bad enough to me.

@Real_Don_Easter @WendyNorthey .. passport number. No copies of photo IDs have been affected. It is also important to know that Optus’ network and Optus services including mobile and home Wi-Fi aren’t affected, and no passwords were compromised, so our services remain safe to use and operate as per normal.

@ClareONeilMP I haven’t been an Optus customer since 2004 yet I received a letter from the CEO that my Data had been leaked. It’s left me worried.
