@toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

@DavidLeyonhjelm This is a poor take. First, the aggrieved party is current and former customers of Optus who now have serious, possibly irreversible consequences. Optus will almost certainly be proven to have been criminally negligent in handling these data. The incompetence is/was astounding.

@SquizzSTK Optus has become a 5 letter word! Arrogance, ignorance and incompetence on steroids! So I've changed from having them as my provider. Why reward poor performance? Got a better deal elsewhere. Less money, more data and can bank it. Plus international calls to 28 countries!

@HansOrph @Optus @Equifax I’m not sure about that one. I am the listed Optus customer, had the initial email re attack, and nothing since. My wife received that message today also. Wondering whether it could be a 2 part scam - next message to come may look like it’s from the relevant agency.

@ItsTheHermit tbf it's not every month but it happens often enough that it's pretty annoying. Telstra service is okay where I live but I also live right next to an optus tower so it's usually fast

@DavidLeyonhjelm FYI anyone using Optus now has grounds to terminate their contract. So contact the TIO
