@Telstra how long do I have to wait for my NBN internet? Ordered early February, spent at least 10 hours on the phone with 8 service agents, have been using the smart app since 17 June to chat with >15 agents, receive bills for Premium internet and all I get is <0.1 mbps...

  • KateMurdoch3
Kate Murdoch (@KateMurdoch3) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@NBN_Australia Yes, we’ve had technicians coming for 1.5 years and little progress. I’ve been told need to organise through Telstra but they have no customer service atm. Outside work done, but can’t seem to connect to house.

distant tom (@tomwoodau) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

    @djaw85 @negri_thomas @ClaytonTFord @Optus @NBN_Australia @Telstra Yeah must be an Optus backhaul issue

@Optus once again no signal (NBN HFC) in Hampton 3181. The service the last couple of days has been horrendous

  • jaejtee
jords (@jaejtee) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Telstra NBN team have now confirmed no order was sent by Telstra to them on their records for my address - extremely terrible service from Telstra again, wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t asked

  • jasonehill
Jason Edward Hill (@jasonehill) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@NBN_Australia Yep check this every day - never anything planned. Always an outage and then you have to investigate. Not good enough

  • KateMurdoch3
Kate Murdoch (@KateMurdoch3) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@clairegcoleman @NBN_Australia I’m astounded you’re getting any NBN service at all. I can only go through Telstra for it, and they’re not answering calls for the foreseeable.

  • andyjay_81
Andrea Jackson (@andyjay_81) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

Cancel @NBN_Australia install through @Telstra (a story in itself) using the app to continue to see out our contract on ADSL but continue to get calls to book another install time. Try calling to resolve and they won’t take my call despite an email telling me to call 😡

  • tardis3
tardis3 (@tardis3) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

I rang @Aussie_BB again today. It has been almost 2 weeks since the failed install. Advised that the @NBN_Australia is still scheduling a repair to the pit issue. Might be several more weeks to wait.

  • krysbethmoore
Krystin Beth-Moore (@krysbethmoore) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

Dear @iiNet I couldn’t be happier to cancel my plan with you, after weeks of waiting and a day off of work taken so I could get my NBN connection set up, I find out that the connection is actually on short fall.

  • BenSorensen1
Ben Sorensen (@BenSorensen1) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Backoff11111 @NBN_Australia As the ads tell you... intent is only slow or a problem if you use it.

  • djaw85
Dj (@djaw85) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@tomwoodau @negri_thomas @ClaytonTFord @Optus @NBN_Australia Our next-door neighbour has @Telstra an has had no issues. It’s interesting that the cable/wire issue doesn’t seem to be affecting all providers atm - just @Optus... absolutely poor customer service also

  • mikedoeslife
Mike 🧼 (@mikedoeslife) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

Life on @optus 4G home wireless. I get 20mbps down on a good day, but at any time, day or night, it can just drop out the butt like this. NBN available in my street from next month, but who knows if it’ll be any good... at least it’ll be FTTC, so that’s something.

  • VonBitchPants
    ฿Ø₲ ₩ł₮₵Ⱨ (@VonBitchPants) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@mickjoebill I dunno what to say...we just changed the network cable to a second port on our NBN box as Aussie Broadband told us to and it was an instant change in speed after the router was rebooted 🤷

  • Dlanorx
Ron Nelly’s son 👀 🦘➡️🇦🇺 (@Dlanorx) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Askgerbil @DoctorKarl @TurnbullMalcolm Actually the original purchase of the Telstra cable network, was to remove and compensate Telstra as a network, and provide NBN with infrastructure for laying their cables

  • trevorpvas
trevorvas (@trevorpvas) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Telstra @NBN_Australia WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 months to make this work time to fix it or let me out of the contract #desperate

  • BenSorensen1

I was thinking “The internet is so slow today for some reason.” Then I remembered I’m in Australia. @NBN_Australia #auspol #broadband #stillusingcopper #darkages #50thfastest

  • aussieaubs
aussieaubs (@aussieaubs) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

@Telstra you are a disgraceful disappointment to customer service. #fail I’ve just spent 5 days trying to get my #nbn connection resolved and your people in the app keep closing the chat window and passing me to another person. Utter rubbish #telstrafail

  • davmoro
David Morison (@davmoro) reported from Melbourne, Victoria

Biggest telecommunications company around and I can’t get to speak over the phone to a @Telstra about a @NBN_Australia connection... **** service!

  • Larrymclarry71
    Larry (@Larrymclarry71) reported

@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Had same problems with @NBN_Australia but the telecommunications ombudsman sorted it out within days. They have a simple online questionnaire, takes 10 minutes and escalates it to someone who will understand how ridiculous the situation is. Saves hours and sanity.

  • cutthroatwok
    Wok Smith (@cutthroatwok) reported

@craigreucassel I had some nice Indian chap offer to help me the other day It was amazing He just randomly called up, informed me I had a problem and that he could fix it What a top bloke Strange part was that I dont even have the NBN Maybe if you're lucky he might call you up too

  • 1Octonaut
    oberon (@1Octonaut) reported

@craigreucassel Craig, call your federal MP's office. They can submit a complaint direct to nbn - they'll have plenty of experience doing this - and you might see some results. Even if your MP is some LNP waste-of-space, their office staff should be able to get onto this.

  • ULTROS_PRO
    ULTROS_PROFESSIONAL (@ULTROS_PRO) reported

@craigreucassel optus cut my old place off from the cable internet because they decided not to offer the service anymore due to the nbn it took 4 months from that day for an nbn technician to drill a hole in the wall to run the cable. 2019, four whole months without internet

  • DCAU7
    DC (@DCAU7) reported

@NBN_Australia Still not working, and the area I live in has just gone into lockdown. Not happy that a third party carrier (probably responsible for HFC) hasn’t fixed it.

  • Richard33878882
    Richard Hubbard (@Richard33878882) reported

@twistieman @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Totally agree, but that would be to logical, and there's not much logic around these days. But 1.5 months to rectify, lousy service. Thanks again.

  • dravenleepalmer
    Draven Lee Palmer (@dravenleepalmer) reported

@BelongAU My internet has been down for a few hours and we have no idea why it's still down after resetting the router/turning it off and on. The NBN outage page says there is one but only for my address, please help it's beyond confusing and annoying!

  • justme_bmk
    🌏 💧 Bianca (@justme_bmk) reported

@jamiemanson101 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia I had the same, I received one, presumably an upgrade. Never asked for one, nor was told about it, I had to call to make sure there wasn't a mistake. Somehow, we managed to install it ourselves ;-), without the NBN worker's expertise.

  • Richard33878882
    Richard Hubbard (@Richard33878882) reported

@Douglasac10 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Right. Was just clarifying. Anything other than the modem is either NBN or provider responsibility, mainly due to regulations. Btw, used to contract to Telstra resolving issues like this. Sadly nobody has those departments these days. And NBN 😥😥

  • david_gilliver
    David Gilliver (@david_gilliver) reported

@Richard33878882 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Can NBN really be called a wholesaler if they are the ones who go out to the customer and fix the issue? It's not like the service provider can step in and fix it for the customer themselves.
