I had one technician, then two spend all day and half the following, fixing the issue. The ISP called me when they were there, telling me they were escalating my matter.

Dr Jacinta Yap (@JacintaYap) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@suziesheehy My brother said he’s never seen one w/ 3 cables but should be the Foxtel one unless it’s a retrofit from prev users & need an adapter to change the connection… best bet might be NBN tho as your ISP may deflect anyways 🤔 He has a hybrid box at home tho & can check if it helps?

If you are on an FTTN network the homeowner has the "choice" to fork out money for the property to be upgraded to FTTP. If you are on the Coax/HFC network you are **** out of luck as the best NBN can do is try increase line bandwidth

To ensure the application is from a real resident at the property, NBN sometimes needs proof, like a lease contract or water bills that match the applicant's name and address. However, this process can really delay provisioning. ISPs can check if the LOC ID is empty and see that no service is connected; they could just sign the customer up. If there is an existing service and the name on file doesn’t match, send a message to the new customer that provisioning is stuck for xxx reason. If the name on file matches, they can just hook them up. The process could be so much easier!
