Oh yay. So there’s some work on water pipes (or something, I dunno) down on the street outside my apartment building and now my NBN’s out. Looks like they might have severed the cable for the whole building 😫😫

  • SueBursztynski Sue Bursztynski (@SueBursztynski) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@strollingrabbi I’d say so. On the other hand, he hasn’t fixed it, so happy to blame him too. I’m currently awaiting my NBN, dreading it. A friend has let me use his speedy network for now, but he knew what questions to ask when his was installed.

  • SiCozens Simon Cozens (@SiCozens) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I’ve been without internet all day. Lodged fault at 11am, still hasn’t been escalated to @NBN_Australia at 9:30pm! Wtf

  • algo_anthill Dancer, your Space Dad 🐝🐝🐝🐝 (@algo_anthill) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Apparently, I have upstream and downstream sync, but the online light never settles and then the modern starts over after 30 seconds or so.

  • elizaalanz Liza✨ (@elizaalanz) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra please fix your nbn so I can watch Netflix without it disconnecting every 5 minutes

  • C_Davie97 Cillian Davie (@C_Davie97) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @NBN_Australia broadband in Yarraville 3013 hasn’t worked for about 6 hours now. Tried resetting the modem but no luck. I can understand if the heat was impacting the network though.

  • will_msn32 willmsn (@will_msn32) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • jarrodrobins Jarrod Robins (@jarrodrobins) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Aussie_BB Thanks but I already called. NBN seems to have told AussieBB as much as they’ve told me - zilch, only “solution” is to just wait until they decide to hook it up properly, in contrast to whatever NBN did the last couple of times 😞

  • petros_ioannou Petros Ioannou (@petros_ioannou) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra A fault in the street. Requires the NBN team to come back and do works. Apparently that can’t be done till Jan 31st After 2 hours on the phone I managed to get an extra 25GB added to my mobile data. No further resolution possible though I’m told

  • Cruiizin Cruiizin (@Cruiizin) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia down at the new place, now the dreaded one hour call with @Optus

  • LScigna LaScigna (@LScigna) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@pwwingman @khtagh I read where we are worse than that. And we're paying millions for a substandard service that is going nowhere. Aust is way back on climate change, education, NBN & on so much more. But we are no. 1 for most corrupt criminal govt. #LNPCorruptionUnplugged #LNPCrimeFamily

  • jarrodrobins Jarrod Robins (@jarrodrobins) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NickRossTech @NBN_Australia I had installers come out 3 times now 1. Put the box on crooked 2. Came back next day to connect cabling to the pit across road 3. Third guy came and inspected pit in front of house, then left Next day my “ready for service” is not ready, needs “more work” but they won’t say what

  • Uberstooks Amber [HGG] (@Uberstooks) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

4 drop outs in service with @Optus NBN in the space of an hour. Even with a new modem installed last night. If this continues throughout today, I’ll be disconnecting my service, without penalties and moving to another provider.

  • ajphelo Andrew J Phelan (@ajphelo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@HCICanberra @Birmo @AIBC_Ltd @MEAIndia @IndianDiplomacy Great to see. One request. Please do your best to shut down all the fraud call centers based in India who ring Australian numbers pretending to be CommBank, the NBN, Telstra etc. I get calls everyday. If my mum who has dementia picks up she gets distressed. My neighbor lost 5k

@PearlescentMoon Do u have nbn? Mum switched the wifi to nbn last year, and since then I can honestly feel a difference in the speed, but still spikes sometimes. I honestly don't want you to leave, as I am still hoping I'll see you someday in Australia but if u want to I will still support you :)

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@KleinRevd @NBN_Australia Hi Andrew, the message is just confirming the upgrade work. This does not mean your service will definitely be down. There may be some service interruptions, but we’ll try to keep this to a minimum! Kartik

  • SkrrttSkrttt_ KingKoong (@SkrrttSkrttt_) reported

@nbn why are you so bad and unreliable?

  • praveensays99 Popin Piento (@praveensays99) reported

@sachinsyd @7amahanti @Optus Yep it does. They always try to push products. All I wanted was to transfer my NBN as I was moving to the city. 5G is obviously going to be poor in the city with buildings. They pushed me to take 5G. Local engineer says 5G need line of sight.

  • MaureenAHuebel Maureen A Huebel (@MaureenAHuebel) reported

@TimWilsonMP Is Goldstein going to get a decent NBN now you are in the Cabinet? The system is poor according to the NBN contractors, as Goldstein is a safe blue seat and limited funds were applied. Goldstein NBN is patched up & needs a new strategy of dark fibre connections.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@Icefnt We're sorry to hear you're experiencing service issues. Have you reached out to your nbn provider about this? They can run a line test with you. If the fault is found on our end of the network, the team will work closely with them to getting it fixed. Let us know how you go. Maya

  • KleinRevd Revd Andrew Klein ( Chaplain) (@KleinRevd) reported

@NBN_Australia @Optus , what support are you able to offer? See previous tweets.☝🏼 Let me clarify this. You are the retailer , described as the service provider whilst @NBN_Australia actually does the physical service to infrastructure? This is an ongoing issue.

  • BE_rowley Ben Rowley (@BE_rowley) reported

Don’t think I’ll never forgive the downgrading of the NBN to copper wire

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@agsmith87 We're sorry to hear this happened, and thank you for letting us be aware, Andrew. nbn will never call and ask to access your computer or advise you that you’re going to be disconnected. 1/2
