@BenSmee @Optus I was in this boat a few months back. After rebooting my router numerous times, they booked a NBN technician to come and have a look. And then I found reset button on my NBN box and it fixed the problem. I’ve since added Optus Technician to my resume.

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra Yeah, 4G. No 5G coverage in this part of Melbourne. I wish I didn't have to use a SIM from another telco to get 20+ Mbps. Telstra 4G backup is about 0.16 Mbps down with a Smart Modem. We just tether phones during work hours for video calls or sharing would be too slow.

@charlietech @NBN_Australia Charlie every time it slightly rains at my parents place the NBN drops,why? Optus have said it’s common problem and will only fix or report to NBN if happens 5 times in a day - my parents are old is there a way I can have consistent NBN for them including phone connection?

@vertikar @NBN_Australia @Telstra I received an SMS later to expect 4 days of no internet. 💀 I've got a backup service running at full speed through another telco. Best not to put all our eggs in one basket if nbn HFC and Telstra mobile are both unusable while WFH. 🥵 Fortunate that there's overlapping coverage.

Service providers should be required to authenticate a customer before disclosing whether an address is experiencing: - nbn outage - mobile outage - power outage Currently anyone can search a home or business address and find out if there's an outage. #cybersecurity #auspol

Do you really have an NBN connection (I did not)? Even if you have one, try getting through their customer service and you'll know that an overly friendly guy with a thick accent is not working for NBN

@chrismurphys @Telstra First off, the TIO can intervene if Telstra aren't doing their job. You can create a case on the TIO website, Telstra will be levied a small fine and they'll have to prioritise your issue. Is NBN available at your house?

@theage @SupratimA NBN self back-patting. Fact remains that a lot of homes cannot get reliable and fast internet. Homes forced off reliable ADSL2+ services and onto slow and unreliable wireless services. Or worse, that abominable Skymuster. 3rd rate service run by 3rd rate people.
