Looks like the @Telstra issues aren’t over yet. Some sites connecting and others failing on my NBN...

@DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia I’m saying we spend to fix the issues so it works properly rather than spend on marketing to cover it up. Although returning it with the receipt for a full refund is a good idea. $51 billion for the 43rd fastest internet that already is past its used by date is crazy.

@Telstra NBN team have now confirmed no order was sent by Telstra to them on their records for my address - extremely terrible service from Telstra again, wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t asked

@clairegcoleman @NBN_Australia I’m astounded you’re getting any NBN service at all. I can only go through Telstra for it, and they’re not answering calls for the foreseeable.

@NBN_Australia I’ve actually had some amazing speed results (both up and down) using the 4G/LTE phone network... I got it as a backup for the failing NBN and it’s comparatively amazing and cheaper. And it didn’t cost Australia $51 billion.

@NBN_Australia Yes, we’ve had technicians coming for 1.5 years and little progress. I’ve been told need to organise through Telstra but they have no customer service atm. Outside work done, but can’t seem to connect to house.

@Telstra REALLY struggling with you guys right now. My husband and I both took half day off work yesterday and patiently waited for NBN to be connected between 12-5...NO ONE came! I was on the text chat from 1.30pm until 10pm...still no resolution!

@DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia So it’s cheaper as it isn’t even close to working at capacity - and once it’s in that’s it. Light based tech is way more versatile, and we need to dig up the copper anyway. Slow expensive internet also kills business.

@VaperNt @GregHuntMP @Bowenchris NZ broadband makes NBN look like the outdated under performing service it is & cares about their citizens health and well-being Let alone helping their own economy and exports. Need to move. We could have new manufacturing & export with effective regulation #WeVapeWeVote

@PaulRebec @Telstra Yes please THIS. I spent 45mins troubleshooting, reconfiguring networks, rebooting routers... nothing. Even checked NBN status... finally tried to check the Telstra service. Your webiste is down too. Like send us a text, it isnt that hard!

@sarahbr2020 @Telstra DNS issues in all states except QLD and WA. If you know how to change use Google DNS or Cloudflare that should get you going. NBN connection is okay

@DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia Because long term you still need to get rid of the copper... you can’t do any upgrades and copper slows the whole network. Copper is already working at capacity. It’s just deferring the expense rather than the cheaper option of doing it right the first time.

Ben Sorensen
(@BenSorensen1) reported

@DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia Malcoms option looked cheaper on paper because it was wrong... it’s now blown out to way more than the origional Labor costing. Cheap now, and best value long term are different. And we picked the worst of everything.

Just had a storm go through. @NBN_Australia has dropped out. I will reiterate what I've said so many times - the network is such a technological disaster that has wasted billions of tax payers dollars and set this country back 20 years #fail #nbn #outage

@BrowntownBrew @DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia And TPG/Voda are using cheaper Nokia tech and being cheeky with placment. 5G is better than broken NBN, but you’re right that we need proper fibre!

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the reply Zara. The issue has been confirmed to be in the street between the node & my property. We can’t get over ~32mbit down, & it worsens badly when there’s heavy rain. We are hoping that we’ll be on the remediation list for suburbs getting backdated FTTP.
