Johnny (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, VictoriaThis is my 5th message this year advising nbn co is doing running repairs on the lnpโs botched nbn. โHi from Telstra. NBN Co are performing network updates in your area on 3 June 2022. Your internet service may be interruptedโ - meantime itโs buffering & disconnects galore
-
Bruce T (@bthomps22) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@NBN_Australia So can I regard this maintenance as essential or is it non-essential but not limited? Optus says it is to get more customers into the network. And you canโt do it overnight or at the weekend?
-
AllThatKazz (@AllThatKazz) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@superloopnet @NBN_Australia Already discussed issue with @superloopnet. You can keep your $5.00.
-
James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@taipan168 And Telstra only faces minimum service guarantees in a very small component of the business where they continue to hold assets that used to be owned by the government. That's shrinking over time as the NBN buys out the copper.
-

Dr Jacinta Yap (@JacintaYap) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@suziesheehy My brother said heโs never seen one w/ 3 cables but should be the Foxtel one unless itโs a retrofit from prev users & need an adapter to change the connectionโฆ best bet might be NBN tho as your ISP may deflect anyways ๐ค He has a hybrid box at home tho & can check if it helps?

Claire ๅ ็ๆ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐ (@AuspiciousTimes) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@MRowlandMP My telco just reoffered me broadband connection at a lower rate. I've noted that all the service interruptions for maintenance in the last couple of weeks have done nothing to improve the NBN.

Found some ******* publically owned companies and show you actually ******* support growing the economy. AND GET RID OF CGT AND INCOME TAX! Hike the GST if you need to keep the revenue the same.

Paulie Ferrari (@paulieferrari) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@AussieAppsro @carloslicea1 @AngloBeat Agree, when you consider how any corporates are now using nbn, yet I heard nothing from my employer about their main offices impacted by network outages. Another #freedumbrally fairytale

๐ง๐ง Llewellyn Griffiths (@llament) reported from Melbourne, Victoria@Optus I am an Optus customer. The caller didn't claim to be from Optus. Since I recently received a couple of text messages from Optus regarding NBN maintenance in my area it seemed unlikely that they would be followed by a threat to terminate my connection

-
Dave (@imdavo17) reported@TFyrd49376 @TobiSkovron Labor introduced the NDIS, LNP messed with it. Like a long list of things introduced by Labor, the LNP screws with it and we are forced to endure the **** show that follows. NBN? LNP screwed it so hard it cost 3x as much for inferior infrastructure.
-
Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported@Marilynrules1 @stevehearne7 @arbsmichael The competition is basically at retail level and thanks to the nbn there's actually been an upgrade to the fixed line network so there's better service. Significant speed improvement and slight price increase.
-
ich bin RAT seeking (@pjhmccann65) reported@smith_johnxxxx @Sauronlordking @VDejan0000 NBN was not a '**** up', until Abbott became PM.

Darren Kearney - NEON2K ! NBA2K26 (@neon76) reported@AlboMP @DeltaGoodrem @JacintaAllanMP This is a great policy for people who have been sacked, or really from another state, with how it used to be, and have to somehow pay out the whole contract? And it's not really like that for NBN or mobile internet plans and it shouldn't be like that for private rentals either, and I've maybe g9t a red flag for renting? because this has happened to me, even though I pa8d up until I left and had a dog in the shared backyard, after I had started to rent with the real estate agent, and it should then void the contract of the rental, anyway, if I was upset with the dog being in the shared backyard. And they really wanted the full contract of the rental paid out? and even with all what I've said, it be's like to be a red flag maybe for me, for possible future rentals? and I think it has a big negative, for a more secure, two year or more rental contract, which should be better, not worse, how the old rental laws, now, were. So, this is again, great Victorian Labour policies! and ones that will make do much of a difference to people, who would of been in so much of a problem, and not really realise it, with rental contracts, and it's all like kinda NBN internet plans, which is really how it should be, especially with how house prices have inflated that much anyway.

Weird Uncle Bob (@julerin8) reported@DavePhippen After 8 calls totalling 12 hours to NBN co and Telstra I found the magic key: Just say "Ombudsman" Service person arrived the next day and a new modem the same week.
-
Steve (@JarOfSteve) reported@algorithmsayshi Tried clearing app cache ? Could be using CGNAT as well. Getting a static IP from ISP could fix the issue. Also, you could try turning off the NBN box for twenty minutes to see if you can pick up a new IP that's not flagged.
-
animal chin (@Jacobage) reportedThe place mum & i were in we had wifi & it kept not working so i had @NBN_Australia imstalled, the neighbour complained she had no internet then complained the nbn was supposed to be for both of us but it wasnt. Loftwah (@loftwah) reportedAustraliaโs biggest fumbles I have seen in my lifetime so far have been missing the boat on nuclear in the 90s (I donโt believe it is worth it today) and the NBN. Anyone who caused their poor outcomes should be strung up for it.
-
JoyOz (@HJoyOz) reported@Ben_Davison1 I paid for my own education and the government never sent me a fully trained employee. The rule of lawโฆ. Yes men are women in law. Roads, Rails, NBN (massive cost) gas water bla bla - we pay for thatโฆ it didnโt magically appear without our tax funds, we also pay continue to pay for this and budget blowouts. Civil society - do you live in Melbourne?
-
Aussie Kaiser (@Ladwiththebrew) reported@Ben_Davison1 Education has gone to ****, roads no different, rail basically doesn't exist, NBN is a worthless attempt at 30 yr old tech, electricity and gas is expensive, refusal to build any water infirstructure. The law was subverted decades ago and civil society doesn't come from gov.
