@BevanShields @AntonEnus "But has no modelling to support the claim" Just like Direct Action emission reduction or the cost of ALP NBN or the $660billion ALP debt blowout etc etc #FreePassToBS

@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

@call_me_tomasso Home nbn is okay? Sorry, I thought it was misbehaving too. If your mobile data is still slow at this time after restarting phone, it looks to be an Optus issue as you suspected. Do you get 5g connection outside the house? I think 5g isn't indoor capable until more towers go up

With the NBN and phones down, all roads broken, the village isolated, and our mobiles our only form of communication, it would be wonderful if @Optus and other telcos would waive excess data fees for those of us affected.

@NBN_Australia @stephenhockin10 You guys have reported this widespread outage was due to power being out at the one fibre access node that services way too large an area and that access node is owned and operated by a third party… that doesn’t seem like any level of disaster was prepared for or even thought of

@gibbonwalk @smh They’d have to fix the NBN first. Labor’s had the right idea but apparently the surplus was more important. How’s that going, lately. I haven’t checked👀

@NBN_Australia @stephenhockin10 We rely on this critical infrastructure. From banking to marketing. I'm on day 4, zero connectivity. 4g is overwhelmed by load. Do better, faster. The longer this takes the more people go without up here. Post code 2481. What's an acceptable blackout period ?? Help!

@Voice4Victoria Reminds me of when I watched the NBN committee meetings after Libs wrecked it with their multi technology mix. The problem is these people get into power and they aren't accountable to anyone. Can't be fired easily. Yet, they would be fired if they did this at any real company.
