@NBN_Australia @Farmgate138 I like that “experiencing some issues” have had NBN for some years now. We quickly found the baseline service was crap and upgraded to the next level - which is great when it works, but reading the fine print, NBN only warrant it will work for 2mins annually

  • ollie_bo
Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, Tasmania

@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

  • TasGreg
Greg C (@TasGreg) reported from Hobart, Tasmania

@BevanShields @AntonEnus "But has no modelling to support the claim" Just like Direct Action emission reduction or the cost of ALP NBN or the $660billion ALP debt blowout etc etc #FreePassToBS

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

@singaporedavid1 @TurekAndrew @AlboMP As an original builder of the first NBN networks across the world, the whole concept of Fibre was ludicrous, not one of them understand the properties of Fibre, not one has any idea of the actual cost There has never been a fibre network of this scale built anywhere on the planet

  • passtit

@knackers63 @AlboMP How come when we have a problem with the last mile (literally) of copper cable, NBN comes to fix it, not Telstra?

  • BengalRacing
    Aussie Racer (@BengalRacing) reported

@Telstra Hi Dave, we finally had a technician come out Friday arvo. Guess what he found? When the NBN was installed a year ago, one of the parts used was corroded. Almost 2 years of complaints from us, 2 years of @telstra doing exactly what you are doing now - assume the problem is me

  • GooberMarx
    GooberMarx (@GooberMarx) reported

@Khuz_A @Ali_Hijazi @AlboMP ???This is exactly the service I get. Fixed phone line copper from the node to our house. Lucky to get 20mps consistently. It might not be NBN infrastructure but it damn sure is part of the network and it’s dumb as ****.

  • Keepinitreal_11
    Keepinitreal (@Keepinitreal_11) reported

@AlboMP And when does the ripped off tax paying end user get rebates & reduced bills for this substandard and slow NBN service? Not what was in the brochure people! Govt needs to get on to this now, as all the providers are still profiting handsomely for this rubbish!@ScottMorrisonMP

  • tgm87
    Jenkins (@tgm87) reported

@AlboMP @AustralianLabor I've seen worse in Newcastle, NSW. And only 50 metres away from an exchange... We couldn't get NBN at all because of the deplorable state it was in. Would have needed to rip up 3x concrete driveways to fix, at each of the properties' expense (one driveway was ~$6000 to do that)

  • WayneJeffrey78
    Wayne Jeffrey (@WayneJeffrey78) reported

@BigFanofVan @AlboMP You do understand that the backbone of any decent wireless network is a decent wired network! Besides we are yet to see a wireless plan that offers NBN fibre speeds with no data cap for a reasonable price

  • TheRealPembo
    Michael Pemberton (@TheRealPembo) reported

@jfwfreo @AlboMP And there are probably some customers happy with FTTN with a nice short copper run (e.g. FTTB) and see no reason to spend taxpayer money upgrading it to FTTC. Why should others be left behind because you are happy with your NBN service?

  • sortius
    sortius (@sortius) reported

@alexbhturnbull @seearjay @ScottMorrisonMP I can't, he blocked me because I showed how stupid his NBN plan was. My dad? Well, he's dead

  • NathanScannell
    Nathan Scannell (@NathanScannell) reported

@australia_wake @DanielBleakley Oh I see. Yes but that's just NBN. The problem isn't fibre, it's design and poor training.
