@TPG_Telecom Hi TPG, my NBN which I organised to be setup on the 10th is still not connected - 3 days late.. 3 phone calls today and the final call you transferred me but the call ended.. Can someone help get my service connected today.

  • WatsonsTroops1 WatsonsTroops (@WatsonsTroops1) reported

@MiRandB13 @marietg @mediawatcher83 A 1Gbps connection wholesale would be a few thousand a month just on the nbn along and doesn't include the rsp back haul (essentially dark fibre). (getting the fiber from the nbn network to their own servers)

  • DanVeldre Dan Veldre 🕯🐕‍🦺🐈 (@DanVeldre) reported

Hey @Telstra - my NBN box got fried in the electrical storm last Tuesday. I reported the issue and was told a technician would come to fix it. The first appointment was cancelled. So was the second one - turns out it was logged as a network outage, not a hardware fault...

  • WatsonsTroops1 WatsonsTroops (@WatsonsTroops1) reported

@marietg @MiRandB13 @mediawatcher83 They get it to work by saying we have 10000 people on the network on average 1000 are online at a time. But if all 10000 got online at once they are screwed. Not because of the network design (even with ****** FttN) the nbn prices from day 1 were stupidly high

  • David_Threlfo David Threlfo (@David_Threlfo) reported

@Lucidiscus Sadly, you might be on to something, as today, Nine made long-term respected journo and co-6pm NBN News presenter Paul Lobb redundant. Unbelievable. Terrible day for Northern NSW regional news. Betrayal and treachery, however they are spun, are still betrayal and treachery..

  • czhedgehog Stacheltier (@czhedgehog) reported

"Woo-hoo! You can get ridiculously fast 5G Home Internet." inorite, t3lstra?! it's exciting. (not getting the nbn all my neighbours have trouble with, as I can see that sweet 5G tower from my deck 🥳🍻

  • IMHO_oz IMHO_Oz (@IMHO_oz) reported

@NBN_Australia Why don't you focus on your main job in providing RELIABLE service. We have been without NBN for 8 days now and we keep going around in circles. We are a small ISP and we can spot the techno babble a mile away. NBN No B Network!

  • Cho965256 TYCho (@Cho965256) reported

@pandakapowski @FalunSchlong @DrakeLim The NBN is a fiberoptic connection that was proposed in 2007. It wasn't available until about 2016-7 to the end users. Speed is only 100mbps max. That's very slow and about 10-15 years behind many Asian countries.

@JodiMcKayMP @rawprawn25 @David_Threlfo Content piped in from 'The bowels of Willoughby', is not the same as local or regional content. The areas of media i hope receive scrutiny from the Murdoch royal commission is the need to support emerging media orgs., regional autonomy and true source media content. RIP NBN 3.

@mediahunter @nbnnews And in this day and age why can’t we access NBN Evening News on our computers and mobile devices. When our tv went kaput, I could watch every news service live except for NBN News :(
