@PeterJamesRoth6 @PeterDutton_MP Yep, there were definite technical issues from the websites end first few days, then also just a clunky government designed site. I had no problems signing, but think I was ~1,500th signature, before site started crashing. No doubt poor NBN/internet doesn’t help 👍

@LotL20 Not at all, w/ cable, satellite & wireless NBN, dial up & mobile networks, there’s zero reasons by now that everyone shouldn’t have access. Gov. prioritising electorates with denser populations i.e. more votes, rather than equal distribution of service, as promised a decade ago.

@davidbewart @nefreus Add to that, latest ABS data (Mar2020) shows 2.5 mill Australians are not online; affordability issues, access/location or lack of digital literacy. 10% of Aussies, no internet, let alone slow internet Successive Govs & NBN failures for an essential service, not a luxury#auspol

@StevePriceMedia @AusTodayListnr @LiSTNRau Well it’s on the role … I’ve worked a booth many times & people show up with ID or name written down on paper .. but making it official could block many from voting because they don’t have acess to tec etc like me nbn = no bloody network

@Aussie_BB after 5 bloody hours. It still doesnt work. I ring. Told to reset box. I do. Still doesnt work. Tries to book an nbn appointment for next week. Are you f***ing kidding me??? Barely an effort made and expect me to have no net for 5+days. Youre a joke.

Our NBN is down due to #melbournestorm so all 3 of us have been using mobile hotspots for work. This afternoon our phone connections are flakey so even that has been hard

Thank the heavens for Starlink. We had another major storm last night that knocked out power (office running on genny) for a large number of homes across the state (including mine). The NBN is down, cell tower is down so no phone data, but Starlink is going like a champ!

@optus it would be great if your service indicator would have an estimated time for restoration of NBN service to a searchable address. I realise there are wide scale outages however the uncertainty about service restoration does not help 1/2.

@Kermitron @SWrightAU @Telstra You shouldn’t *have* to do anything - but it’s worth noting it only kicks in for zero NBN signal. If there’s something, even if it’s worse than 4G, then it won’t fire up.

@NBN_Australia such a disruptive strategy to cut off cable internet services without notice and force customers to switch to NBN w daily account suspensions. The biz impact over 2 days was huge with 3-5 to go. @Telstra app bad but ph service got us over the line #nbnvictoria

@FiendLive Hi Fiend, we're sorry this has occurred - unfortunately, we don't have control of the weather and we cannot anticipate issues occurring due to wind - there may be damage to your NBN box or your connection which is why a NBN tech will need to attend your property. Cheers, Lizzie

Would honestly be kinda great if @telstra would realise they never sent me a smart modem -- and that I have no NBN RN -- alongside a Telstra mobile service I'm relying upon for everything...
