@DifficultNerd @stnapAtnaf Sadly not the case. NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia I spoke to my provider, and they have been told by NBN that there is planned remediation but no ETA. I'm just disappointed that today's visit by NBN wasn't planned properly. I've no medical issues relying on the network, just hoping for service to get my work and relaxation done.

Wakey, wakey, rise and shine @NBN_Australia! It's now 21 days since my service went down and today is the 3rd date you have given my retail provider for restoration. ( No updates as of Friday so we assume all systems go).

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@stnapAtnaf @DifficultNerd It’s actually hilarious to see media reports of the NBN struggling. Remote learning/video/working, video streaming, etc, etc is exactly why a proper next-gen network should have been built.

@peters_malcolm At our daughter’s in NZ. Download speed 322Mbps and ping of 11ms. Makes Oz NBN look like the **** service that it is. NBN was/is a major LNP fck up !!

Phil (@Phil98529731) reported
@RollerDerbyMum @AlanBixter @Hels_Be11s Queen, that isn’t a landline, it’s a VOIP line. A landline is a phone connected to the local telephone exchange via copper cable and works when there is a blackout. The crappy NBN is replacing these lines.

Katie (@katiem13) reported
@RoadknightThe I talked with a fantastic guy at Telstra yesterday about a refund. In passing he checked my internet and they speed was too low. They discovered my modem was probably at fault. They are sending a new one. If still slow with new modem they will register a fault with NBN. Great.

10, I kid you not, 10 spam phone calls during business hours today purporting to be NBN to fix my internet connection(NO) Amazon (NO) Telstra (NO) etc … How do businesses cope with this scourge of impost on their time and resources? #scammersandspammers

@NBN_Australia Completely unreliable connection stability, very inconsistent speeds, dropouts and slowdowns at least 2-3 times a day. It gets nearly impossible to do anything half the time. We can't even get speeds above 35Mbps, even on a 50+Mbps plan! We had to downgrade to 20-30Mbps!

@andiijk @Optus Know the feeling. We have been down since 6.00pm.Another weekend without internet. Optus blame NBN...NBN blame Turnbull, I keep footing the bills, and have no access to my subscriber services which I also pay for...Optus are as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

@Optus No need. Every opportunity I have, I will remind everyone I know, never to go with Optus as a provider. I will tell them my horrific story of how you failed to conduct proper enquiries with NBN as to the availability of ADSL & then said even if it is there you couldn't connect it

@_QuantumDan @TwinTurboCe1ica Plus the upgrade of the electricity network will be roughly as botched & ineffective as the rollout of the NBN. Let alone the lack of copper at present. Or our reliance on imported network equipment & parts. We are giving ourselves multiple handicaps in real time.
