Great work @Telstra being down on a w’end with your NBN services. People trying to relax via internet use & unable to do so. Thought it was jus cos I lived in ‘Hicksbillyville’ (2795) #epicfail

@Mon4Kooyong As a Telecommunication engineer I can say deregulation of the industry and establishment of NBN was a huge error. Complexity exponentially increased, carrying capacity reduced, and capital investments skyrocketed, yet services are very expensive and quality is very poor.

@Andrew_Godman @tracksuitpant After the NBN I question the sanity of anyone who would let those people anywhere even near a sniff of power ever again. I will never forgive them for that or forget about it.

@MickamiousG @PMalinauskasMP 💯- Been with Telstra for many years, and no issues. Prepaid too btw, and good data packages and overall connection. In fact I find myself hot spotting from my Telstra mobile data to back up my nbn (when nbn is playing up)...

@NewsProspector @Standup_global @JacintaAllanMP They have skylink or other satellite availability now & into the future so why are they spending a fortune on NBN which can’t service country users when the other one can?

@criprights This is exactly point 11 of yours. There NEEDS to be backup services implemented for people who DO NOT understand how to get 000 access without the Internet down (whether its NBN OR ISP).

@JonoH @fictillius @launtel I believe most premises are still GPON, and NBN are upgrading to XGS as needed. I do think 2000 down over GPON is pushing it a bit in terms of congestion, but I guess we'll see.

@loftwah @tracksuitpant I remember it being 2020 and I still didn’t have nbn and had to use adsl because they wouldn’t listen to the experts that the hfc network was ****** (they ended up using FTTC in my area after trying hfc)
