It should be investigated and people charged. I have a Vietnamese friend on a work visa who worked for a telecommunications company and now NBN. He often works from 7am to 9pm and in his first job he climbed those towers, often works weekends but never gets paid overtime!

@iiNet You can’t help, nbn have visited so many times and the tech last week told me to my face “just upgrade to FTTP because FTTN is so unstable and we can’t even fix it half the time” like really 🙃

@Internode My internode service died two days ago. You’re customer service guy, Steven was awesome and booked me an NBN tech for today between 8am-12pm.They didn’t show. I called internode again and once I finally got through the call went mute. Help.

Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported
Still loving the way that NBN only considered FTTP upgrades as a speed improvement, not a service quality improvement. I'm already on a 100/40 service on HFC, but ineligible for upgrade to FTTP, despite my service being unreliable. $30k+ to fund my own upgrade. Pass.

@RowanJQuigley @Internode Thank you. Did eventually reach someone tonight. They were lovely but couldn’t solve the problem. Hopefully the NBN tech they’ve booked will have more luck

@NBN_Australia Thanks, I understand the 'fair use' clause. But fair use to me is upgrading the network so that ALL users are always able to maintain speeds they paid for. Downgrading to the lowest common denominator is admission that the service isn't up to it IMO, else why do it?

Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland
After telling the optus chat line that my house had burned down and that I had tried repeatedly to get the nbn cancelled (which I am still paying for), she asked me, and I kid you not, if I had tried turning it off and turning it back on again. I…I don’t know how to answer.

iinet: Has your installation been done yet? iinet: We'll escalate it again. In the meantime here's the NBN help-line number for wholesalers - try calling them directly. NBN helpline: This number belongs to 1300 Australia. iinet: We gave you the wrong number. Try this one.
