“NBN is planning some maintenance in your area”. The window is Monday to Friday next week. Outages expected to be 5 hours and 8hrs. No indication of when during the 109hr window. $50 says @NBN_Australia completely **** this up again.

@kelvincent18 @NBN_Australia I know where the tower is. The maintenance was completed on Thursday. That’s when the problems started. It isn’t overselling. It is botched maintenance.

@AlanBixter We sort of had that problem. The pit would fill with water when it rained and flood the grass around it and our footpath. Got in touch with the provider who got an NBN contractor round to come fix it. He was very good, he basically tut tutted that they had not sealed it right.

@__Claire__M__ @Hopiumhater @MChandlerMather Oh that's right. the NBN LOSES 1.4billion every year. So not only do we have shite internet, the government has to continue paying for it every year 🤡🤡🤡It's literally one of the worst examples of a government project you could give.

A ping speed, or the time it takes for a signal to get to the satellite and back again, is generally about 32 milliseconds But Mr Thompson was finding it was about 700 milliseconds on the NBN service

@RushmoreLists Great list, but would not be complete without the preemptive cheating song Jolene by Dolly! Honorable mentions for Sorry by Beyonce, It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy, OPP by NbN (c’mon, who isn’t down with it?), and in the spirit of the season, Backdoor Santa by Clarence Carter

So, the previous tenants took the NBN box with them - for non-Australians, this is the thing that makes the ****** Australian internet connect properly, and it belongs at the house, not to the occupier. And the real estate agent will not help us with this, apparently

@abcnews Probably because the massively over budget under delivered NBN let them down.

@baxters @Internode Adam Internet was everything I wanted in an ISP, the were bought by iiNet and things started to go down the pan, they were taken over by TPG and now they're rubbish. There's got to be a reason for the decline across the industry - maybe the NBN ??

@The_moral_mason Got ours a few months back; yanked the trash NBN fixed wireless down, never looked back. Australia spent over a decade and billions to still make a *****-up of NBN.
