@lynlinking Yeah they did the same with the NBN. Thought they would have learned but NO. Somewhere down mates of these crooked pollies are laughing because they’ll make double profit once in Aus and the second time selling it at a loss to African pirates. Cognitive dissonance is a b!tch

  • bogga1967 Phil Hoult 🇦🇺 (@bogga1967) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@gwxr496 @NBN_Australia I think Barnaby was looking after you. Better late than never ..... but it’s already obsolete ..... I thought of moving to Swaziland as there internet is faster 😂😂

  • mjfly1 Mark Flynn (@mjfly1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@gnaight @NickRossTech @LJPatton @abcnews @netflix @abc730 But that's a business plan limit rather than technology one, that you can hit 60GB limit implies there's not a bandwidth congestion problem, only a few years ago our kids would kill their grandparents Sat, later fixed 3G plan in a weekend, it's not a problem on NBN fixed wireless

  • carldsmart Carl Smart (@carldsmart) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@natasha_yann @abc730 @MSMWatchdog2013 @geoff__thompson Netflix can stream quite comfortably on 5mbs - in fact my mother was streaming on 2mbs and seldom had issues. So blaming streaming services for the NBN rort is utter bullsh!t. The real blame sits with NBN and govt, both clearly out of their depth from the get-go.

  • lesposen lesposen (@lesposen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@playswithf1re @NickRossTech @R_Chirgwin @gordon_j To be sure. I need something for my awful 3G/4G cell tower issue where I am mostly getting SOS level signals… I’m right in the middle of an area where three towers don’t overlap. Have to use wifi calling. When the modem goes down every few days (Optus NBN) I go into a comms hole

  • AntB77 Ant (@AntB77) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@guytaur @manjusrii @stufromoz Stephen Conroy's CVC pricing model is a big part of the problem with NBN. ALP don't get a free pass they're just as bad as the Libs

  • eileen_1956 Eileen B Kenny (@eileen_1956) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia @Optus Dear NBN & Optus - yet another Optus tech out this AM. Outcome: After nearly 2 months of problems - worst service of that whole period, 25 secs in, drop out, reconnect, 25 secs in, drop out ... the cycle continues 😡😡😡😡

  • DanSims Dan Sims (@DanSims) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheWineRules1 The ‘true’ NBN under Labour is what is needed but thanks to Turnbull (and mostly Murdoch) we were robbed. I mean copper as a solution. In 2018/19. Copper. Just insanity.

  • luckey7sss keep it real.💧 (@luckey7sss) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AaronDodd @call_me_tomasso @PaulFletcherMP NBN is absolute crap, just doesn't stack up another con job pulled on us.

  • ChristineEwing7 Dr Queen Christina (@ChristineEwing7) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

So, just been on the phone to @Telstra , about the crappy NBN service. Even though this household switched over 3 weeks ago, the service will be experiencing "difficulties" until July 19th.

  • Lankaprince Jag Kulatunga (@Lankaprince) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@SkyNewsAust @myGovau No one doing any work bcz #AUSvENG, well #melbourneweather also so f***ed up, so most quite #Australian trying to lodge #TaxReturn with worst NBN #Broadband, then we crashed #MyGOV also #HappyFriday Welcome to #Australia #auspol

  • methylnick Nick Wong (@methylnick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@gerald_goh @illumina @BaseSpace I do hope the #NBN can support the data transfer rates. 😜

  • lfsantosl lfsantosl (@lfsantosl) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia @iTnews_au The fact that I pay for my nbn is already a streaming differentiation. All other online activity is or can be done on my mobile 4G network, whose speed is usually higher than nbn anyway.

  • B_e_agle Beags (@B_e_agle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN Woes part 3: the technician on Tuesday connected us to the wrong damn pole, and there might be an issue with the new cable he installed. Not even surprised tbh

  • TonyB_Melb TonyB (@TonyB_Melb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jmodoh Never let this government near anything to do with IT. They are incompetent. (exhibit 1 - The NBN)

  • B_e_agle Beags (@B_e_agle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN woes part 2: given up all hope with iiNet after finding out that a) I had to use a different account that I didn't know existed, and b) organise an appointment for another technician to visit. Jumped over to Aussie Broadband and hoping that will fix this whole mess up

  • Sbarry86 Shaun (@Sbarry86) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jbugs14 @NBN_Australia @VodafoneAU Well then that’s poor service by NBN

  • ChristineEwing7 Dr Queen Christina (@ChristineEwing7) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @unionsthug @wadekelly @NBN_Australia Perhaps. I don't expect a worse service than the one I had previously.

  • Sbarry86 Shaun (@Sbarry86) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jbugs14 @NBN_Australia @VodafoneAU I am with Vodafone for my mobile. I don’t like them and the service isn’t good and they are just shit. Home internet with Telstra and gog fully converted to NBN so far so good

  • steveacko stephen atkinson (@steveacko) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet seriously. It’s been a near 40 days since our iiNet NBN service was paid for and still nothing. Not even an email update. My partner and I work a combined 150hr week and can’t afford to donate more of our time towards this matter. #iinetNBN #NBN #Melbourne

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • twinfold No faith in humanity (@twinfold) reported

@NBN_Australia You've misunderstood my question. NBN plans have a maximum upload up 50Mbps on Home Ultrafast. When will you offer RSP's upload speeds that aren't artificially capped on your fully duplexed network? Re: the link, why are no speeds mentioned at all? It's ambiguous & unhelpful.

  • JNoonan78 Jeremy David Noonan (@JNoonan78) reported

Want to become a tech support partner for @NBN_Australia but don't have the necessary skills? You're in luck! They will now take on anyone regardless of qualifications or even sentience! 1/2

  • viexon66 Louise Nixon (@viexon66) reported

@pertina1 @timwrig1 that’s not the point. where they can deliver those speeds, it’s behind a massive paywall. the technology mix of terrible nbn decisions is another topic entirely. telcos can set higher speeds when the technology is there.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@lilmamaduck Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about the run around you've experienced when looking for assistance with the your NBN service. This is definitely not the experience we wish to provide and have tagged this as feedback to relevant teams for review. (1/2)

  • thedarlingbud Stéphanie (@thedarlingbud) reported

nbn out and @Telstra say (at this stage) we’ll be out until the 8th (3 days) — i took me 30 min on the phone to get this info since outage website says there are no interruptions in my area

  • magthered Mags (@magthered) reported

FFS…. is there never not internet problems in the south east? #telstra worse service by far. This NBN has caused nothing but issues.. I just wanna scream wtf is wrong this time? We were out almost 2 weeks when the last lockdown began. Get ur shite together Telstra.

  • anthimatter Anthimatter 🕹️ (@anthimatter) reported

I've had to drop my ISP plan down by half because the NBN here can't do 100mbps? What sort of ***** installation did we get given up here? 😠

  • meganvs Megan S (@meganvs) reported

@DaveyMelb @NBN_Australia There is zero communication between NBNco and providers. Now into our 8th day of no NBN. No information, no resolution, no plan. Appalling.

  • VALIANTBABE340 Jen ***ITS A CLIMATE CYCLE ***☔🇦🇺🏍 (@VALIANTBABE340) reported

@DodoAustralia and @NBN_Australia stop blaming each other for the outage in Toowoomba and other Darling Downs suburbs and just bloody well FIX IT! nearly 12hrs and still waiting. This is NOT acceptable. If I let a problem like this go on for that long, I'd lose my job. #FIXIT

  • DamonJacobs Damon Jacobs 💉💉AZ (@DamonJacobs) reported

@Elaine39247821 @farrm51 I respectfully still say 2nd worst. This rollout did actually deliver for Australians. The NBN rollout however, delivered a quarter of the speed compared to the Labor plan at a much higher cost. When we want to get to the speeds of Labor’s plan we’ll pay the same amount again.
