We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, Tasmania@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

We quickly found the baseline service was crap and upgraded to the next level - which is great when it works, but reading the fine print, NBN only warrant it will work for 2mins annually

If the Labor NBN had gone through, it would be finished by now, NBN FTTP would be there without copper wire problems and, I cannot go on about how bad this decision was. I checked NBN and looks like a service outage in our area - checked a couple of addresses in our road. How long do these usually take to resolve? I was looking forward to a good long weekend :(

To ensure the application is from a real resident at the property, NBN sometimes needs proof, like a lease contract or water bills that match the applicant's name and address. However, this process can really delay provisioning. ISPs can check if the LOC ID is empty and see that no service is connected; they could just sign the customer up. If there is an existing service and the name on file doesn’t match, send a message to the new customer that provisioning is stuck for xxx reason. If the name on file matches, they can just hook them up. The process could be so much easier!

You think they took up charging usb cables etc for phones that don’t work ? All that weight for phones that don’t work when they could have dedicated cameras

They turned the towers off for my team or it was maximum 10 minutes on the site at a time. The feeling is very very bad. I feel sorry for anyone who lives near high electromagnetic radiation. Another form is a VR very dangerous to children under 12 I've seen the damage a VR can do also 10 min at a time.
