    @NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

    @Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

    @NBN_Australia 1. These slow speeds are common across different service providers in the district. 2. The many times I’ve pursued this topic it becomes a duck-shoving exercise: NBN Co. says it’s the service provider; the service provider says it’s lack of capacity at the NBN tower.

    @TechManPat Hi Pat, I'm at my wits end trying to get NBN, I wondered if you had checklist that might help get through the minefield. Basically, the web site says ready, but the work was never done. Installers come, look round, say they will log it, and so the process repeats

    Exact reason why I hate streaming sport. No NBN since 11.30am. Complete nightmare. Bring back the satellite that would only crap the bed when we had torrential rain.

    Hey @TPG_Telecom I got a text about an NBN outage in my area (3094) - however it's not on your reported issues page. Do you have an ETA when this will be resolved?

    @RoshDigital Outages coming from the TPG network are listed in the service status page while outage caused by the NBN network are posted on their website. About the outage, as per NBN Co, the issue is due to a local power outage and there's no declared restoration time right now -Mel

    @albericie @Optus Australia in the late 90s and turn of the century invested heavily to outsource its call centres overseas. At the same time they moved manufacturing to China and other Asian locations. Try and support local Aussie NBN companies. There are a few good Aussie ones around

    @Telstra @PDenvir Tom @Telstra this mornings clusterfluck of trying to confirm our connection to NBN is proof positive that no-one at either Telstra or NBN knows what is going on...what poor service. 7 months to get connected...and continuing....
