I was probably one of the first to find Facebook down several hours ago as I was coding ... Thinking it was NBN I checked from the USA to find no DNS records. Ironic given its the 22nd anniversary of my first child's kidnapping, linked to ICANN and DNS.

@Lola_lmao7 @NBN_Australia If they’re not supposed to ever deal with the end customer, the ISP should be empowered to advocate and respond on your behalf as with any vendor. We’re stuck in a sort of limbo where the support offered is platitudes.

@adammalone @NBN_Australia I get that NBN is not supposed to contact the end-user directly (where possible), because it's supposed to be a wholesaler (not retailer) of fixed-line services. But still, you would expect that they are more efficient and sophisticated in handling issues like these

@brigidglanville @NBN_Australia Yes, problems here, too.

@LocalNews4051 @NBN_Australia Hello, I would recommend getting in contact with our tech support team on 1300 880 905 to trouble shoot this one - regards amber :)

@sacharules @TPG_Telecom Would that suggest the problem is NBN's and local, not TPG's?

  • SkyThom3 SkyThom (@SkyThom3) reported

@syrupnap @sammygreeen Both are pretty **** according to close friends. Used to be with telstra having god awful connection. We gave aussie broadband a go and 110% better. It's different for everyone though cuz of living locations and types of nbn plans

  • simonvandore Simon Vandore (@simonvandore) reported

@brigidglanville @NBN_Australia ISP must pressure wholesaler NBN. We initially had major problems... I got the best response via my ISP's text chat support. Putting it all in writing for the overseas call centre worked much better than speaking it. Six NBN folks turned up and it's been flawless since.

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@sacharules I understand that, Sacha. The service faults were all fixed by our delivery partner, NBN co. We can have the assigned case engineer to contact you today should you wish to further discuss the issue at present time. Just direct message your preferred callback number/time. -Geli
