  • davidjsinclair David Sinclair (@davidjsinclair) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Dear @Telstra and @NBN_Australia you service is really crap. Installed a new wifi router today, at my own cost and streaming sucks just like before with a Telstra wifi router. 3rd Internet, 1st world country. Give me my taxes back. You are pathetic.

  • v8shawno Shawno (@v8shawno) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    5 hours #nbn #outage #ferntreegully #fcukssake

  • LapTop006 Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Well that sucked, after replacing all the cable all the way to the splitter the tester showed great signal, but NBN didn't like it.

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus has the worst customer service ever. I tried to organise nbn through their online chat and they flat out lied to me in order to get my business.

  • BelievaBill Bill Birch (@BelievaBill) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@siangard @SenatorDoug @fionaparker1 The NBN was the perfect vehicle to support decentralization....

  • ashemah Ashemah (@ashemah) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ReidParker_ Sadly my cable speed is down a bit since NBN turned on in my street.......................

  • yeppoon Beaver Murray (@yeppoon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@RachelBkr That's so slow its embarrassing. We're on NBN and it's frequently like that, so bad in fact I got a refund from TPG because the advertised speeds were like watching a glacier move.

  • Serby2010 Hutchy (@Serby2010) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Nartster #NBNTreason Talking about dropouts. One day couple of weeks ago we had over 200 dropouts. I refused to pay our bill because we have not had service. I am pretty sure all providers have troubles with NBN.

  • CountKnuckles Gavin (@CountKnuckles) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Holy crap now that I have NBN I also have @DougDeMuro in beautiful 4K.

  • matty_lara027 Matty Lara (@matty_lara027) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Fourth Appointment with @NBN_Australia, First time tech comes out on site. Takes one look at the box and goes, "nah can't be done. Sorry mate." Comon NBN. Why does it take this long to connect someone to your network. #failedappoitment #justwantinternet

  • timewaster2000 Mark Gambino 🗿 (@timewaster2000) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

It pays to shop around for @NBN_Australia products, even if you’re on contract. I may pay a cancellation fee to sever my @Optus ADSL service, but the zero install fee and lower monthly cost of another company will see me ~$50 better off over 24 months, plus enjoy faster speeds.

  • TonyB_Melb TonyB (@TonyB_Melb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Kynes3 Yep...ran it lots of times, always the same. Just now it's showing: NBN 11.32/0.92 ADSL 8.65/0.86 It sucks.

  • G1NCHY g1nchy 🌏 (@G1NCHY) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jendudley You forgot to @Telstra and @NBN_Australia. I don't feel so bad now, at least @optus replied to my tweets.

  • FoodWorksAus Rob Rees MBE DL (Australia, New Zealand and UK) (@FoodWorksAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia how about you find a way to communicate instantly about outage. Still no NBN in 3103. Any news or update. #Disgrace

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus And I have spoken to nbnco themselves and they have confirmed that you are flat out lying to me. The times available depend on the provider NOT the nbn. Further proving how bad the customer service at Optus has been.

  • DikeosJohn John Dikeos (@DikeosJohn) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheTechDudeAU @Telstra_news @Telstra Clearly I’m being sarcastic giving them shit about their horrible service which nobody should be paying for. Got connected to nbn last week and it’s been down the past 2 days. Before this issue when we connected with them 2 years ago we were paying for 3 months and had no interne

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vvmann @NBN_Australia @exetel And no one is accountable. It's actually incredible how bad it is.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

This Google Stadia thing looks cool. Probably won’t be great in Australia until 5G is here. That said, they recon they only need min 15mb down; max 40ms latency and max 5% packet loss. Many NBN connections smash that. But if it’s widely adopted, congestion will cause issues.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Fairbairn1Mel Melissa Fairbairn (@Fairbairn1Mel) reported

@Telstra seriously Telstra. This is the second long outage in manly NSW in as many months. Friday/Saturday outage still going on Tuesday. You said fixed Monday and not it says mid-day Wednesday. And we live in a first world city. You want us to stay with you for NBN!!??

  • TFalkingham Tom Falkingham (@TFalkingham) reported

@Aussiefranco @RealMarkLatham Yes. Beware terrible lefties whose perseverance & activism delivered award wages, compulsory super, Medicare, Native Title! Bring on more RWNJs who promise to support Medicare but underfund it as well as the NBN & NDIS which, like their bushfire & pandemic responses, they bungled

  • redruby17 Dr Jos 🇦🇺🇫🇷🇱🇧 (@redruby17) reported

@NBN_Australia I know you’re just the social media team so this isn’t directed at you. The fault is more widespread than with just a single ISP. We need a do-over. The infrastructure is substandard and was never designed to handle this volume of use.

  • MeckeringBoy 💧Michael Dowling-Demand renewable covid recovery! (@MeckeringBoy) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@wild68223259 @CaraMia200 South Korea’s advantages are not so “hidden”. Rest of world has ever increasing speeds with top speeds 10,000Mbps. Australia is constantly falling down the charts. With huge corroding copper weights around our ankles. Abbott Turnbull Morrison DELIBERATELY sabotaged NBN. #auspol

  • marianneleitch marianne leitch (@marianneleitch) reported

@DeborahSnow Yep. None so blind as cannot see. Renewables and the NBN could save country towns. But so many there don’t see it and are let down by leaders with no vision or imagination

  • descry Descry 🇦🇺 // Twitch: DescryAU (@descry) reported

@NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB have thoroughly gone over their end, vpns don't route around any issues. This is NBN being a sack of **** not fixing their congestion since the 13th.

  • Chirp19OCE chirp19 (@Chirp19OCE) reported

@NBN_Australia There is nothing running on my computer that is using bandwidth doing these tests on Aussie broadband speed test website. My dad uses about 3mbps through the day cause he is watching tv this is purely your issue not mine, I have tried everything that I can on my end now fix yours

  • MarkLerno Mark Lerno (@MarkLerno) reported

@PhillipAdams_1 Turnbull's name should be mud for destroying what was going to be a 93% FTTP NBN. Instead, he is rewarded. Like Phillip, I give up! I'll never forget how Turnbull dragged Mike Quigley through the gutter. Shameful!!

  • MonicaB14750640 Monica Buchanan (@MonicaB14750640) reported

@YaleStephens @SimonJaysek What a joke. Turnbull will forever be remembered as the one who gave AU garbage NBN. Present/past pollies and their corporate mates.

  • soham_rc Soham Roy Chaudhuri (@soham_rc) reported

@NBN_Australia So at the end of the day, its nbn’s incapability to provide a faster resolution and as a customer I have no where to go but to wait for 50 days for a basic need now a days.
