  • yeppoon Beaver Murray (@yeppoon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@RachelBkr That's so slow its embarrassing. We're on NBN and it's frequently like that, so bad in fact I got a refund from TPG because the advertised speeds were like watching a glacier move.

  • FoodWorksAus Rob Rees MBE DL (Australia, New Zealand and UK) (@FoodWorksAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia how about you find a way to communicate instantly about outage. Still no NBN in 3103. Any news or update. #Disgrace

  • Serby2010 Hutchy (@Serby2010) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Nartster #NBNTreason Talking about dropouts. One day couple of weeks ago we had over 200 dropouts. I refused to pay our bill because we have not had service. I am pretty sure all providers have troubles with NBN.

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vvmann @NBN_Australia @exetel And no one is accountable. It's actually incredible how bad it is.

  • DikeosJohn John Dikeos (@DikeosJohn) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheTechDudeAU @Telstra_news @Telstra Clearly I’m being sarcastic giving them shit about their horrible service which nobody should be paying for. Got connected to nbn last week and it’s been down the past 2 days. Before this issue when we connected with them 2 years ago we were paying for 3 months and had no interne

  • jiawhoo cheah (@jiawhoo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus hello 👋 why is it so hard to reach optus, called twice with no return calls:( I received my nbn & router yesterday morning but the nbn has been blinking the whole day. Need help!

  • timewaster2000 Mark Gambino 🗿 (@timewaster2000) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

It pays to shop around for @NBN_Australia products, even if you’re on contract. I may pay a cancellation fee to sever my @Optus ADSL service, but the zero install fee and lower monthly cost of another company will see me ~$50 better off over 24 months, plus enjoy faster speeds.

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus And I have spoken to nbnco themselves and they have confirmed that you are flat out lying to me. The times available depend on the provider NOT the nbn. Further proving how bad the customer service at Optus has been.

  • matty_lara027 Matty Lara (@matty_lara027) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Fourth Appointment with @NBN_Australia, First time tech comes out on site. Takes one look at the box and goes, "nah can't be done. Sorry mate." Comon NBN. Why does it take this long to connect someone to your network. #failedappoitment #justwantinternet

  • LapTop006 Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Well that sucked, after replacing all the cable all the way to the splitter the tester showed great signal, but NBN didn't like it.

  • G1NCHY g1nchy 🌏 (@G1NCHY) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jendudley You forgot to @Telstra and @NBN_Australia. I don't feel so bad now, at least @optus replied to my tweets.

  • v8shawno Shawno (@v8shawno) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    5 hours #nbn #outage #ferntreegully #fcukssake

  • davidjsinclair David Sinclair (@davidjsinclair) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Dear @Telstra and @NBN_Australia you service is really crap. Installed a new wifi router today, at my own cost and streaming sucks just like before with a Telstra wifi router. 3rd Internet, 1st world country. Give me my taxes back. You are pathetic.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

This Google Stadia thing looks cool. Probably won’t be great in Australia until 5G is here. That said, they recon they only need min 15mb down; max 40ms latency and max 5% packet loss. Many NBN connections smash that. But if it’s widely adopted, congestion will cause issues.

  • tiges_rule Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus has the worst customer service ever. I tried to organise nbn through their online chat and they flat out lied to me in order to get my business.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • smartatarc Michael Smart (@smartatarc) reported

@mcannonbrookes @benedictevans Just like with NBN, this government disdains and stifles anything that might help us move on from being a nation of coal-diggers and land-clearers.

  • AlisonBook Alison Book (@AlisonBook) reported

@telstracareers Hi.. Just spent 20 minutes trying to speak to one of your staff . .. no joy . I am receiving calls from a call centre.. saying they are Telstra..the old fault with wifi.. Now a recorded message then call centre ..NBN outage Assume spam

  • WriterEbony Eb🍩ny Wears A Mask (@WriterEbony) reported

The Australian government screwed up our NBN, and how they’re basically daring Google to leave. Holy **** in a bucket. Back to Yahoo we go? #auspol2021

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@alexdante We apologise for the lack of notification on our part. As per records, the drop on your connection was caused by an upgrade that NBN has conducted. We can see that your service is already active but if there is still an issue please let us know. -Mel

  • danscottwriter DANIEL SCOTT (@danscottwriter) reported

@Optus Hi again, just to update on my NBN connection, Rob. It did indeed finally work, using the DSL cable to an extremely dodgy and ancient wall socket. However, the signal strength is very low and we are getting frequent messages while watching Fetch TV that bandwidth is low.

  • simonoid Simon Green (@simonoid) reported

@GamersNexus Australian here. I live in suburbia so I can choose from many providers to resell the nbn service to me.

  • RyanWil62993886 Ryan Williams (@RyanWil62993886) reported

@robin_mavrick @SkyNewsAust @AlboMP Plus your idiot hair brain assertions are just plain ignorant and wrong. For example, NBN is not spot on because it cannot be with the size of this nation to use fibre. vaccines were only approved today, what is your ***** there?

  • 4Cast_au 4Cast Pro (@4Cast_au) reported

@mcannonbrookes @benedictevans Just like NBN, this government fully disdains and stifles anything that might help us move on from a nation of coal-diggers and land-clearers.

  • JamieSkella Jamie Skella (@JamieSkella) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

2/2 We are already preventing brand new business ideas from taking root here - they’re made unviable due to the embarrassing state of our “built and fully operational” NBN network. Now, we’re at risk of driving old businesses out as well. #auspol

  • WeTheVoters2013 Observer 🕵️🇦🇺🌏-living in a covid-normal 😁👏 (@WeTheVoters2013) reported

I put off being connected to the #nbn thinking all the initial problems I had heard about would have been sorted out. Waited 2 weeks for #nbn to call (no problems). The #nbn guy came, told me everything in perfect order, except one thing, I cant connect to internet.
