@ZachWeiner Part of the other side of the issue was that once the NBN came into your area, the original phone lines shut down, so you had to get an NBN plan. A lot of telcos shoved people onto a 12 Mbps plan, which was never designed for internet use, only as a phone line

@Telstra I have spent over an hour on your chat window waiting for my bill query to be fixed & no result. You have upped my NBN plan & charged me an extra $30. I did not ask for or give my consent to this new high speed planPlease fix, I’m not going to waste my time calling you.

The lack of communication from @NBN_Australia on a resolution date has been horrific a simple fix is all that is needed. @Telstra who else can we contact to get this issue sorted? @acccgovau ?

@NBN_Australia Ah, but of course it is plausible that most people have NBN and most people have poor NBN performance so you have left yourselves open to these imposters who can call most anyone anytime and have a reasonable chance of finding people gullible enough!

@amy_bainbridge @NBN_Australia @acccgovau Hi Amy, yes unfortunately this is one of a number of NBN scams that are circulating. NBN will never call consumers requesting personal information.

@HenriMcAlister @NBN_Australia It's a scam, unless you actually ring your provider no one is going to call regarding nbn issues, if you ring nbn they tell you to talk to your provider. Delete and block the number, and whatever you do, DON'T give them passwords or allow remote access, it's a SCAM.

@kate_eviva Thank you for making us aware Kate, scam callers can be very creative with the way they approach the general public. nbn doesn't make unsolicited calls. Your service provider manages your connection including your speeds. 1/2
