@ZachWeiner Part of the other side of the issue was that once the NBN came into your area, the original phone lines shut down, so you had to get an NBN plan. A lot of telcos shoved people onto a 12 Mbps plan, which was never designed for internet use, only as a phone line

The greatest irony is seeing the outcome of the LNP's substandard NBN delivery in their poor videoconference connections to parliament. #auspol

  • moylecroft Matthew Moyle-Croft (@moylecroft) reported

@NBN_Australia really wish you’d battery back your HFC nodes. Power out a few streets away and it’s taken out my internet because you cheaped out when you bought Telstra’s HFC network. Really wish you’d provide a cheap fibre upgrade to avoid this.

  • vandanasanjay Sanjay Saraswat (@vandanasanjay) reported

NBN down in North Balwyn to winds. But NBN site says no outage. Any one else facing issues.

  • paulkniest Paul Kniest 💉💉 (@paulkniest) reported

@helendalton22 What the streaming demonstrates Is Australia’s poor connectivity thanks to @TurnbullMalcolm ‘s half arsed hybrid NBN. Ironically NBN Co now retrofitting fibre to the premises in area where they initially installed fibre to curb.

@NBN_Australia Hi Tommy, thank you for reaching out. I've sent you a message with my details. I've got my fingers crossed that you'll be able to help because it's starting to feel like I'm in a loop of being told to take it up with somebody else, with nobody actually trying to resolve this.

  • Rebus0906 Rebus The Terrible ✳️ ✳️ (@Rebus0906) reported

@MeckeringBoy What a feed of ****! Mike Quigley left and dummies like Fletcher ****** the NBN completely.

  • Saphod Marco Luthe (@Saphod) reported

Internet #outage in VIC 3109, but neither @NBN_Australia nor @Telstra show one on their websites.

  • DeadBeardTV DeadBeard (@DeadBeardTV) reported

(2/3) I made sure I was free for the day but no technician showed up. No courtesy message at all, I was just left waiting. I eventually called my ISP to see what was up and they said NBN had "dealt with the problem remotely" and had closed the issue.

  • DeadBeardTV DeadBeard (@DeadBeardTV) reported

(3/4) Hopeful, I checked our speeds and we've got a fantastic 102 down and 2 up. Nothing has changed. Worse still, this is the third time @NBN_Australia have marked our issue as resolved without actually resolving anything.

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported

@LJPatton @internetAUS @NBNCo A major part of the issue is that the NBN was pushed towards a "most attractive for sale" model of operation, not a "the best solution for the nation" network.
