@ZachWeiner Part of the other side of the issue was that once the NBN came into your area, the original phone lines shut down, so you had to get an NBN plan. A lot of telcos shoved people onto a 12 Mbps plan, which was never designed for internet use, only as a phone line

@NBN_Australia and @Telstra why can't you guys just update your status pages when a service (internet in my case) is down. You both state that the service is fine but after spending an hour on the phone and getting support to dig down it's actually "impacted by an outage" WTF

Troubleshooting my parents' internet connection. Telstra Gateway Max router - NBN via Foxtel cable. All router lights look OK, but no internet from the wifi network. Anyone know their way around a setup like this?

@FloRoberts93 @TrishaGreenie @MrKRudd Example? Look at the NBN. Every tech saavy person and network engineer was screaming FTTN was a **** move. But LNP were elected on their botched version and we had to wait a full 10 years for people to *experience* it first hand before we can go back and rip out the copper.

@decryption @GordyPls @NBN_Australia Sorry, I meant people _only_ understand download speed. Halving the price would help.

Do I know anyone who can help escalate something within NBNco? Having some pretty frustrating home internet issues and my ISP and the NBN technical department keep bouncing it back to each other

@johnsy123aus @NBN_Australia Then you need to contact Optus; it may not be an NBN issue. Your agreement is with your ISP and they should sort out the issue for you.

@nobby15 Sounds of the nbn disaster and how much did that cost the country? LNP are unable to put much thought together with big nation investment. You would have thought that the inability to hold fuel security level would have brought this energy security problem to the fore?
