@Telstra Hey Telstra, I have issues with the NBN service that NBNco has told Telstra that it would be resolved by Friday. It’s Monday and I’m still not connected to the internet.

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@moylecroft @caskings @LapTop006 That I get. Are you saying there are no technical issues with the NBN at all? Nothing that a change of technology could fix or improve?

Apparently 44Mbps is good. Ping 21ms to Hobart and 24 to Melbourne. Getting 13 down and 14 up. We’re on 100Mbps cable and have yet to switch to NBN. That happens tmrw.

@Telstra Thanks Ollie, It’s a brand new (Tue 25/08) NBN connection. I have raised incidents every time except the last two. At the moment it isn’t causing problems I won’t be at work for a week it won’t be monitored as quickly. But please note 0:35, 06:35, & 13:35 daily* when we are home

  • PWB_inAus Paul Brooks (@PWB_inAus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@moylecroft @bigjsl @NBN_Australia Biggest issue here on NBNHFC is occasional congested upstream. Once Foxtel and Bigpond are off their spectrum, that should pass too.

@CozWasHere Currently on cable Internet.. was promised the same 100Mbps through NBN as I am getting on the old system. The break-down has been since they installed the cable adaptor last week.. now have to turn it off/on every time it falls over!!

  • prasadhasan Prasad Hassan (@prasadhasan) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ShiannonC I sort of agree with you! However, Govt and its monopolized and duoplolized sector have created a lot of unproductive and redundant, laidback jobs, like Telstra,NBN many banks, many without competitive service and poor innovation. Banks just punts on real estate.

  • Ross_Coster Ross Coster (@Ross_Coster) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

The NBN Technician is coming here today to cut us over to NBN FTTC. If you never hear from me again, blame Malcolm Turnbull.

  • PatMK13 PatTi MBTS (@PatMK13) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra We currently signed up with Telstra NBN. Now our phone hasn't been working for 3 days. Intetnet is dropping out on/off. Contacted tech support 132999 and got a link for text support. No one can help. Not even to set up a call forwarding.

  • WarrenFWelsh Asphalt Jungle (@WarrenFWelsh) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@dailytelegraph I just launched mate nbn Australia wide in my online store. Savings on all the major providers and awesome rated quality customer service. Message me for more information.

  • JES081 Ray James (@JES081) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Congratulations to the @NBN_Australia for not working on a Friday night in Sydney. Complete, utter, incompetence! My ADSL was fine before I was forced onto this ****.

@BroHilderchump Telstra (or someone) offers 4G Backup for when the service is interrupted... should have gone for that but I already had an NBN-ready modem so I thought, naah Stupidly But from what you say I’m probably on a better thing

@BroHilderchump @NBN_Australia Oh and you don’t have to tag them. Use the acronym and their bot picks it up Still.. I’m not in the position you’re in; struggling to achieve 23 down when you’re supposed to be getting 44

  • Dan_M75 Dan (@Dan_M75) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@bijlarchitect @NBN_Australia Try AussieBroadband. Customer service was exemplary. They worked with NBN to get tech to find and repair broken lead-in and service is solid as.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • sg1_dad Sven (@sg1_dad) reported

@markhumphries This cost should be shared between the owner and the tenant. Adding value to their asset. That’s the issue with NBN can’t uninstall. Some providers are giving free installation if you start with them for 12 months. Mine did.

  • akaNorman Emo Dad (@akaNorman) reported

@markhumphries Was the rental listed as having NBN? If so they have to pay it. It’s a one off service cost and until it’s paid there’s no NBN connection. I have had this argument twice with 2 different real estates and won both times after explaining (politely) how the fee works

  • itstoneee Tone Deff (@itstoneee) reported

Does anyone else pay for @optus NBN and @OptusSport and get kicked off every 3 minutes you are trying to watch EPL. Then everytime you refresh you have to watch those god awful Ashley Martin hair growth ads over and over again?

  • evil_superman8 Evil Superman (@evil_superman8) reported

@NBN_Australia @whiteycnbr Australian isps don't give a hoot about the customer I know a lady that is still on ADSL2 through Telstra she pays $89 a month for a 5 megabit connection.. and I will not do nothing about it they will not let her upgrade to 4 or 5G Wi-Fi that will not help out with her modem .

  • AndrewCampey Andrew Campey 🌱 (@AndrewCampey) reported

@markhumphries If I upgrade the NBN to my house they need to do work on the street. It would be a benefit to several of my neighbours. I would have to pay thousands to do the work. They could then upgrade for free. 🙄 The NBN is a bit **** if I'm honest

  • Blue_Pie_Ninja Nathan (@Blue_Pie_Ninja) reported

@Ozesurfer @markhumphries @FiennesIs If you do take it the black box NBN gives you, it won't work wherever you end up. Although I'd recommend taking it anyway, **** paying $300 to set up the landlords internet connection.

  • HumanTestSample John Alexander (aka. Crash Test Dummy) (@HumanTestSample) reported

@charleyb2355 @markhumphries Not the case. We moved into a new rental property in Vic and faced the same situation. I pursued it out of principle, but it turns out the tenant is responsible. Apparently NBN is not an essential service, even though it replaces land line phones, which is.

  • KindRegardz msinformation (@KindRegardz) reported

@markhumphries My most frustrating and stressful dealings in life have been with the NBN. 🤬🤬🤬 Subdivided a block, and built on them both, at different times. We are in an old area that was never connected to copper. That was too much for them to compute. Faark.

  • allicat76 Allicat 🇦🇺😷 (@allicat76) reported

@markhumphries interesting, I had NBN connected late 2022. never paid a cent.

  • jeremydein Stringyy (@jeremydein) reported

@leeiberry98 @NBN_Australia Lee, have a look into Quality of Service settings on your router (probably labelled as QoS). Allows you to control how much bandwidth a device or type of internet traffic can have.
