    @markhumphries TBH, although I think they delivered a terrible service for the install. at my house, I was happy to only pay $300 for the « actual » connection of my house. (work on the street, weatherproof boxes on the house, etc.). The overall process must have cost NBN more than $300.

    My mum broke her femur on Wed, and my brother is a non board member of the NBN. These 2 pieces of info are important because today dad -annoyed the NBN is down at home- said to my brother, “it’s a good thing our healthcare system works better than our internet” and wow savage 💀

    @Lachlan_Mc That's my issue. Signed up to NBN contract when it (finally) arrived in my area, but now 5G is available it's actually way faster than my broadband. 🙄 Not sure how or who offers a big enough data package to allow streaming on the 5G mobile network. 🤷

    @troyhunt @home_assistant @Aussie_BB You'll probably need to turn on smart queues on your UDM Pro (I think I recall you have one of these). Otherwise the NBN policer will throw a fit on uploads and you'll get horrible upload results.

    Help needed from the tech nerds please! If I change my NBN provider due to a better deal, do I need a new modem? Are they "locked" similar to mobile phones? First NBN company included a modem as part of the deal. Can I use it if I change providers? TIA. 🙏

    A circuit breaker got tripped that killed everything but the lights and I’ve never been happier to have my critical network infrastructure running on the light circuit, no fighting with NBN handshaking for this guy at 11:30pm 😌

    Morning @2GB, you’ve got app issues again. It keeps cutting out and and one stage we heard Ben ask the Astro guy the same question four times. Now nothing. Our download is 108Mbs and upload 32Mbs, ping 13Ms. Our NBN’s working fine.

    @Optus my NBN has been showing a reduced service for almost 24 hours and is still listed as ‘under investigation’. Any chance someone will get the investigation done soon. With downloads of 3.14mbps and uploads at 0.44mbps I can’t do anything currently

    @AmyRemeikis When I was forced off cable 6 months ago I switched to 5G. Blazingly fast and no issues. NBN is redundant.

    Seems niether Fed party wants to address all the MAJOR telecommunications problems across Australia-like NBN? Taxpayers have spent billions on a system that is failed communications across Australia. It would seem that NO-one party wants to fix it????

    @AmyRemeikis Satellite or Fixed Wireless, the latter which isn't bad, but isn't great either. This exactly why the mixed mode NBN was a terrible idea

    @atomic_dom @NBN_Australia It never got announced, via the media Some users received emails from their ISP's, but I'm with @MyRepublicAU and they never said anything about the SOS and ROC March 31 #NBN upgrade. This is while paying for my phone line to be replaced, and the NBN checking the node for faults!

    @NBN_Australia @bachovski I contacted the Communications Ombudsman. Then, oddly enough, the matter suddenly received attention. Wifi is now working, but is still intermittently slow, thanks to the ridiculous 'fibre to the node' choice. The problem lies with the copper wiring. Will you fix that?

    @AmyRemeikis If you are on FTTN (nbn comes in on old copper phone line) check that all extra phone points in house have been disconnected. Only need one to plug in modem. Apparently multiple outlets confuses the signal. Took me years find this out and get extras disconnected - now perfect.

    @sheatheeevee Actually we need a new NBN box but to get a new one, we had to cancel our internet and go with a completely different provider…so we’re hoping that it’ll still be good speeds like we had and it will stop dropping out with a new NBN box 📦
