@HansOrph @deccles26 @NBN_Australia @Foxtel NBN outages is one of the reasons I selected @VodafoneAU for my NBN provider. 4G backup kicks in automatically if the network falls over. Worth considering changing to them if you need/want seamless internet

@roastthekipfler @AusIndiMedia My NBN service over the last 3 or 4 days has been very poor. I did try G4 a while back but that wasn't very consistent either. I am waiting for the arrival of G5 in my area in the hope that may actually work as advertised.

@Halit95429397 @Foxtel I was a customer for over 15 years. After 15 years due to my travel forgot to pay my account I was 1 day late. No empathy no care and would not drop the late fee. So I cancelled. That was full Platinum IQ4, with 4 boxes and nbn. Their reply.... we dont care,

@TurnbullMalcolm @rhysam I have to assume you are speaking out of ignorance of technology. PSTN is cat 3 copper with a theoretical maximum of 10 Mbps. And voice calls over my NBN connection are such poor quality we mostly cannot understand the majority.

@jonesy2794 @TwitterSupport I feel lucky as a restart of the phone seems to have fixed it for now. Or I could just blame NBN as I have also gone to the mobile network.

@Peter_Fitz The issue in the future will be people not needing the grid and "disconnecting". Eventually the grid will be required for properties and will be rolled into rates/land taxes or NBN equivalent.

They wouldn't issue me a refund, but they would if I threatened I'll complain to the ombudsman. I guess my monthly NBN service fee is cheaper to them than a fine for violate consumer laws.

@MrsS2023 The #NBN is obsolete, and will soon abandon the pretense that it is a viable business. Meanwhile customers can have better service and lower prices via 5G or Starlink.

@rhyzii_ @AbstaAU Will say nbn isn’t bad but we are still so far behind other countries in terms of having top internet for cheaper, I’m paying 115 for 250mbs and 30 upload which we should be getting around 1gb up for that

@Real_King_Elvis @Starlink I use starlink, and even though it costs $130/m, is totally worth it. so much better than the stupid NBN that can't even survive a thunder storm!

@TheOnlyDSC Well, she's making poor life choices if she's involved with a black man. As far as the black woman assaulting her, NBN.

@Starlink Starlink helped us out enormously, we had no fast internet, Telstra in Australia wouldn't help, we are in a regional town where residents get the NBN but commercial district don't. We connect over 20 devices and 60 staff, can't do that without Starlink.

@LeanHugeGraves When I made Aliyah 21 years ago, NBN gave a stipend, and then the state of Israel gave some financial help too for a year or so too.

@Lisa9Sophia People forget the GFC were taxpayers bailed out private corporations, taxpayers built the nbn then give it to Telstra to sell back to us, taxpayers built the energy network which was given to private businesses that have sold back to us & run down all these gifts 4 us to rebuild

1/2 So 1. It’s the ALP’s forecasts so there’s that 2. Chalmers is all ‘smoke and mirrors ‘ . He places things ‘off budget’ , which is okay for government investments that will eventually make a return , BUT NBN , Snowy Hydro etc will NEVER make a return , so should NOT be off budget - The federal government will spend $77.7 billion over the next four years on off-budget items. Alongside the NBN and Snowy Hydro, the government will also spend $6.3 billion on the Housing Australia Future Fund and $7.2 billion on the National Reconstruction Fund to diversify industry.
