NBN Issues Reports Near Launceston, State of Tasmania

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Launceston and nearby locations:
  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@cookiemunsta @Kynes3 @MrMatlock12 @JoanBloggs @PostLamont @QandA @insightSBS It's because ADSL (old) and VDSL (nbn) are incompatible and they have to slow down both during the 18 month change over period to prevent them wiping out each other. This govt willfully took this action and killed fibre to the premises which is excellent and causes no such issue.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@deniseshrivell Tas got first NBN then Libs got in. They let Turnbull get away with lie and wreck it. They canned the digital hubs program, Medicare Locals, and dumped community providers of disability support services in favour of larger private operators cashing in.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

FFS, how dishonest (or maybe stupid) can a candidate be. To claim on one hand Labor did nothing for Tas jobs 5 seconds after saying they wasted money on the #NBN. @kevinmorgantas

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@bigbadave @mavetju @BLShiv @NickRossTech Exactly, and the original NBN was going to solve their problems, be it on domestic level of service or business. I was paying $65 a month while neighbouring businesses were paying T $200 month. They could not use eftpos & phone at same time. I could do both + stream radio & TV

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@andrew_blow @wendy_harmer @MikeCarlton01 @sarahgerathy Senate estimates covers a lot of the boring mundane stuff that affects everyone. The problem is that some hearings are timed to avoid much journalistic scrutiny (NBN used to be on late at night, routinely) or there is so much happening at same time that some issues get neglected.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@NickRossTech @udderrunner @smh @TurnbullMalcolm @ABCaustralia They started in 2010. Piers Ackerman basically said a fibre NBN would send watermelons down the fibre to kill the unborn grandkids.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@NorthCoastBlue @SenatorFifield @TonyAbbottMHR @ScottMorrisonMP @TurnbullMalcolm Back in 2010 they were so excited about Masayoshi Son saying NBN was stupid they neglected to listen to what he said. That was before Telstra deal and the stupid Son referred to was keeping the copper network as well as FTTP because we need fibre for 4G/5G and copper is obsolete.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@TonyWaugh3 @MrKRudd My NBN service has been brilliant since 2010.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@Asher_Wolf I have found sometimes these phone won't work issues after NBN switched on are caused by cables being plugged into wrong socket on router.

  • mattdennien Matt Dennien (@mattdennien) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@ParkviewJoe mostly it came down to the fact the place wasn’t previously connected and didn’t even exist on nbn’s map of places that should have been connected. Bit of a process, that one

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@Kynes3 @Snow_Crash @YaThinkN @deniseshrivell @cheryl_kernot They don't deserve it, but ever since they got in on the deal they have been screwing over NBN, with their eyes on the prize. The prize being ownership of the network for nothing or next to nothing.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@petergaskin814 @SmeeHereAgain @themarkjacka @abcnews @NickRossTech @ABCthedrum @abc730 He was active in blocking the FTTP NBN to Gold Coast, with his hideously rude GCC mayor mate.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@joshgnosis He should be made to pay for his own service after dumping on the FTTP NBN the way he and his mates did.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@Picketer Connectivity issues is not a good enough excuse by one who actively participated in preventing FTTP NBN getting rolled out on the Gold Coast.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@GeorgeBludger and never forget it was his mob of cronies on GCC that treated NBN people like dirt and sent them on their way when GC was on early roll out plan and NBN had plans to build data centre there.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@ChristineMilne @annabelcrabb Lied about and killed off the workable NBN and threw a truck load of money down the drain on a copper substitute that will never be fit for purpose.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@_markagregory He's the one who turned up to a public meeting convened to discuss NBN issues on West Coast and told the voters they should be grateful to get anything and that only pirates and porn watchers want or need fibre.

@Salem68781636 Hi Salem, we care a lot about your connection. We'd recommend your provider contacting the nbn support team. The nbn support team will assist your provider in activating your service. 1/2

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@_RedJohnDoe_ nbn is planning to limit non-essential maintenance to minimise scheduled outages in the weeks ahead to maintain network availability as much as possible. We know network maintenance can be frustrating, however, it is necessary to maintain the network. 1/2

  • marzfn marz (@marzfn) reported

@NBN_Australia Over the years you guys have worked on only the down and upload speeds and not the connection to servers etc.

  • marzfn marz (@marzfn) reported

@NBN_Australia It’s not about the modem, it’s about your service. I get 60ish ping because nbn FW isn’t good at all. If I were to have fibre I’d be getting close to 10-15 instead.

  • ad_mico Adam Micolich (@ad_mico) reported

@timgould_scienc @PalliThordarson So long story short, a lot of people are blaming bad conn for zoom et al on the NBN, when the problem is actually their home WiFi sucks. WiFi goes poorly through walls and floors, and not so spectacularly through furniture either!

  • ad_mico Adam Micolich (@ad_mico) reported

@timgould_scienc @PalliThordarson Colleague of mine, was using a smart room as his office. Kept having clipping AV, I asked about where his router was as he was blaming NBN. He had a look at router setup & position, problems all solved now, conn yesterday was crystal clear.

  • teqnomad teq nomad (@teqnomad) reported

@NBN_Australia Knowing whether #NBN will work on the issue when the 48 hrs spans over the Easter weekend, would be helpful. Knowing whether they would ring on Easter Sunday to book the appointment to visit and fix major drop outs would be helpful. Having a case number with NBN would be helpful.

  • teqnomad teq nomad (@teqnomad) reported

@NBN_Australia The ISP has already referred the problem to the wholesale provider (a.k.a. #NBN), and set it as a priority. So the ball is the #NBN's court. Applying pressure to my ISP isn't helpful, as they are only the messenger. /1
