@bigbadave @mavetju @BLShiv @NickRossTech Exactly, and the original NBN was going to solve their problems, be it on domestic level of service or business. I was paying $65 a month while neighbouring businesses were paying T $200 month. They could not use eftpos & phone at same time. I could do both + stream radio & TV

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@andrew_blow @wendy_harmer @MikeCarlton01 @sarahgerathy Senate estimates covers a lot of the boring mundane stuff that affects everyone. The problem is that some hearings are timed to avoid much journalistic scrutiny (NBN used to be on late at night, routinely) or there is so much happening at same time that some issues get neglected.

FFS, how dishonest (or maybe stupid) can a candidate be. To claim on one hand Labor did nothing for Tas jobs 5 seconds after saying they wasted money on the #NBN. @kevinmorgantas

  • PCHunter_75 💉 Peter Hunter 💉 (@PCHunter_75) reported

@AlboMP IIRC, the Rudd Labor Government already had the NBN costs done and the rollout ready to go. Then the Libs won the 2013 Federal Election and decided it cost too much so dumbed it down to a cheaper price, dooming us to lower than should be internet speeds.

  • RealPhilGold Dan hates your freedom (@RealPhilGold) reported

@Perringaiden @AlboMP no mate that's just the reality, you can't fix the NBN without money

  • notesp notes (@notesp) reported

@ric_proudfoot @cvanderstock because the NBN doesn't work for everyone, and people need internet.

  • joncodua Jonco Dua (@joncodua) reported

@AlboMP Never mind the NBN there are real issues that need to be worked, albeit The Spin Doctor Albanese has a shopping 🛍 list but No Substance, No Plans and Not having the capacity to do anything about it 😢

  • dgoodlad David Goodlad (@dgoodlad) reported

@NBN_Australia When you get a bunch of tech folks laughing at your infrastructure, it might serve NBN better to respond with curiosity rather than a canned handball to the ISP. I have reported it to them. They’re stuck following nbn’s poor fault reporting process, waiting for days.

  • JOK07867967 Johno (@JOK07867967) reported

@DougCameron51 @JoshFrydenberg @australian not to mention NBN co are now charging us to upgrade to a proper fibre network even though we overpaid the first botched rollout. doesnt stop their bonuses though either

  • brizman51 brizman51 (@brizman51) reported

@AlboMP My nbn is good. I think the problem is that you lefties don’t have a technical bone in your bodies.

  • MyRepublicAU MyRepublicAU (@MyRepublicAU) reported

@JeffSundstrom Hi, we're currently experiencing an outage affecting NBN services in Berkeley Vale, Castle Hill, Gosford, Hamilton, and surrounding areas – NSW. We expect to have this resolved as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Regards, John

  • harryramage Harry Ramage (@harryramage) reported

@Tuxy81 Poor NBN speeds holding back an entire city from doing so I believe

  • cpschmidt29 Chris Schmidt (@cpschmidt29) reported

@AlboMP I will give Labor this. Their NBN was way superior. But it won't necessary take a Labor govt to fix it. In fact, u will probably need a strong cross bench to hold u to account, because u are caught up in this scarcity thinking of what we can afford & budget deficits that is fake.
