NBN Issues Reports Near Perth, State of Tasmania

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Perth and nearby locations:
  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@cookiemunsta @Kynes3 @MrMatlock12 @JoanBloggs @PostLamont @QandA @insightSBS It's because ADSL (old) and VDSL (nbn) are incompatible and they have to slow down both during the 18 month change over period to prevent them wiping out each other. This govt willfully took this action and killed fibre to the premises which is excellent and causes no such issue.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@deniseshrivell Tas got first NBN then Libs got in. They let Turnbull get away with lie and wreck it. They canned the digital hubs program, Medicare Locals, and dumped community providers of disability support services in favour of larger private operators cashing in.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

FFS, how dishonest (or maybe stupid) can a candidate be. To claim on one hand Labor did nothing for Tas jobs 5 seconds after saying they wasted money on the #NBN. @kevinmorgantas

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@bigbadave @mavetju @BLShiv @NickRossTech Exactly, and the original NBN was going to solve their problems, be it on domestic level of service or business. I was paying $65 a month while neighbouring businesses were paying T $200 month. They could not use eftpos & phone at same time. I could do both + stream radio & TV

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Launceston, State of Tasmania

@andrew_blow @wendy_harmer @MikeCarlton01 @sarahgerathy Senate estimates covers a lot of the boring mundane stuff that affects everyone. The problem is that some hearings are timed to avoid much journalistic scrutiny (NBN used to be on late at night, routinely) or there is so much happening at same time that some issues get neglected.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • TheActualMizu Mizu Lux - Lalafell btw (@TheActualMizu) reported

Once a month or so my internet drops out for 10 to 15mins then it unfucks itself after restarting the router. Not sure if it is the router or top tier nbn service

  • CrmsnDragoon Dylan (@CrmsnDragoon) reported

Internet appears to be down for me, hopefully this is temporarily until tomorrow or something. Hoping it's not another instance of fighting over a NBN cable again, that should have been fixed already

  • matt_d_rat Matt Fairbrass (@matt_d_rat) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

After moving to Aus, I was on an ADSL connection for 5 years and only had 1 outage during that time. I have been on NBN for less than a week and have already had two outages. This is getting silly now. @MyRepublicAU @NBN_Australia #nbnfail #nbn

  • KatedaCosta1 💧Kate da Costa (@KatedaCosta1) reported

@MayneReport @NBN_Australia @Telstra Generally, the ADSL connection at our place in the bush is better than the NBN in town. Even not being with Telstra doesn't make a difference, because its the rubbish old copper wire in the street that's the problem

  • Reefegret 💧Egretta (@Reefegret) reported

@Not_Fred_Nerk @PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia Murdoch has now entered the internet streaming service with ”Binge” to rival Netflix and Stan. He previously rubbishef Labor’s NBN to protect Foxtel.

  • brettscoast Brett Hood (@brettscoast) reported

@MayneReport @NBN_Australia @Telstra I think a lot of people do. Never seen such a major infrastructure project so badly mishandled

  • BrowntownBrew Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@mynk29 @CmacCaroline @TurnbullMalcolm Fttp faults are NBN problem not providers. Reduction in speed is due to providers not purchasing enough CVC. Fttn has drop outs when it rains. Fttn is allowed up to 5 dropouts per day and that is acceptable service. Fttp is 1. Congestion isn't a disruption, it's rsp going cheap

  • turbovan Chris Howard (@turbovan) reported

@MayneReport @NBN_Australia @Telstra Could be worse. We are in metro Sydney, 5kms from NW metro rail and half our suburb was dumped onto satellite in the rush to 'finish'. Useless for videocalls or WFH due to latency and poor data caps. #MTMFail

  • hethey Rowan Hethey (@hethey) reported

@TurnbullMalcolm Back flips, triple pikes, duck and weaves. We will never know what opportunities have been lost because NBN was uncompetitive, what business went straight offshore. The conversation is pointless and trite.

  • MayneReport Stephen Mayne (@MayneReport) reported

About a month in and the @NBN_Australia @Telstra service is slower and less reliable than ever. Kids are regularly hot-spotting off mobiles. Wish we'd hung on until the November cut off of cable rather than switching to NBN earlier than necessary.
