Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
What a totally unfit for purpose the #NBN is. Trying to access Mygov website. And servers crash. Shows how bad under pressure the internet is.
-
Dom Remond (@dremond) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Hey @iiNet what's going on with @NBN_Australia service, making WFH impossible!!
-
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Tahmoor, State of New South Wales
@stnapAtnaf @DifficultNerd It’s actually hilarious to see media reports of the NBN struggling. Remote learning/video/working, video streaming, etc, etc is exactly why a proper next-gen network should have been built.
-
Deb Kasmar (@debkasmar) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia reporting an outage in Frenchs Forest 2086. Guess everyone working from home and school has caused it to collapse
-
Dianne Draganovic (@MsDovic) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@fi_shep @TurnbullMalcolm Although the NBN is shit. So he’s not off the hook, but i know deep down he’d care.
-
💧McFly (@mkrsek) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Squidhump @MagikMilly ✅ Heartless: Manus & Nauru ✅ Brainless: #NBN , FTTP -> FTTN ✅ Incompetent, bordering on stupid: Making Home Affairs super portfolio; giving it to Dutton; being rolled in return.
-
Lesley Hitchens (@lesleyhitchens) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
In this time of confusion & crisis, there is one constant, emails from @Telstra : “nbn™ service interruption during network updates”. How reassuring. 😒

🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Leesidge @OZloop I seem to agree with you, but NBN is such a stuffup, sure it contributed as well as totally poor planning
-
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Tahmoor, State of New South Wales
@DifficultNerd @stnapAtnaf Sadly not the case. NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.
-
Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@iiNet no internet in Turramurra again, over an hour for technical support, no outage showing on @NBN_Australia
-
Dave The Happy Singer (@HappySinger) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@TurnbullMalcolm @theanthonyhayes @rhysam Even at the best of times, my NBN is not much better than ADSL was, because it's still delivered over the same broken copper. Sure the peak speeds are higher, but it's still flaky. Not reliable for videoconferencing.
-
melgianoutsos (@melgianoutsos) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@ScottMorrisonMP @GladysB @leighsales @vanOnselenP @hamishNews @drkerrynphelps So NZ can lock down community and close schools but then they have LEADERSHIP and high speed NBN. 🤬 #FlattenTheCurve NOT #COVIDー19

🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@albericie @OzCaroin But that was the anti NBN wackos 🤡speaking to support Murdoch's trash bags, most of us, thought differently & look @ the total mess & mishmash we have 🤔😉😉
-
Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Vic_Rollison Except that @HonTonyAbbott, @TurnbullMalcolm & @ScottMorrisonMP have totally stuffed the NBN. I’ve got to 4G Broadband for an affordable and superior service. These pricks have set the country back decades just because they hate Labor & are infected with born-to-rule delusion.
-
Paul Brooks (@PWB_inAus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@shara_evans @NBN_Australia Indeed. I guess that's what you get when there's no meaningful SLG. At least it's not as bad as the incredibly useless guidelines on fixed wireless tower congestion.
-
Pavan Kundur (@yutrops) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@SkillUpYT This lockdown would be more enjoyable if the nbn wasn’t horrible
-
Merrick Plater (@m2plater) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Terrible shame that LNP took over our NBN and destroyed it.
-
Dave The Trampoline Venue Avoider (@HappySinger) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Me, on a video call: can't wait till I get the NBN, this is shit. Oh, wait. I do have the NBN. This is NEVER GOING TO GET BETTER. Thanks, @TurnbullMalcolm.
-
David Jenkins (@DavJenks) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@iiNet The interaction with iinet staff was fine, no complaints at all. NBN technician comes out Monday morning. That will play havoc with online schooling and me working from home. Hopefully this recurring problem will be fixed on nbn tech visit #3.
-
🦠 Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Someone is on a 12/1 NBN plan trying to work from home and it’s my fault it’s slow. I should just make it work faster apparently.
NBN Issues Reports

-
Psycho Logist (@LogistPsycho) reported
@Wayno_Neill @JohnBirmingham My brother has been waiting 6 months to get nbn connection ...though I think its something that attached at the house that is the problem.
-
Adam (@kels_316) reported
@Yo_Ross @_BertHandsome the NBN isn’t wifi. If wifi is his problem there are multiple ways to fix it. Taxpayers subsidising his business decisions isn’t one of them.
-
Steve麥 (@SteVoices) reported
@DifficultNerd @Bruh11432599 @Optus Been talking to them for ages. The only solution they gave was get on to NBN with crazy installation start up fees. And they can’t promise I will get the speed either. So yeah…
-
Robert Hazeltine (@HazRobert) reported
@victorklineTNL There’s been a suggestion on twitter that the NBN be considered basic infrastructure like water and electricity. The corporate rip off by ISPs all offering an undifferentiated product is neither efficient or economically sound. Can you pick up as policy with fix.
-
Helen Dyjak (@singingeyes) reported
@AlboMP Shame!don’t need to go there,NBN connection is extremely poor in my area!
-
Adam D (@AdamD75370971) reported
@AlboMP How about fixing the cell network and offering Starlink sat connections for the more regional folks, far cheaper than fixing the broken NBN wagon.
-
Bradley Saint B (@Bradley_Saint_B) reported
@AlboMP @stemplemanmp @MRowlandMP He's no orphan. My pensioner mum and her partner live in a town in regional WA that still doesn't have NBN. The internet they do have is slow and unreliable. Frequent 700km round trips to Perth for health appts that could be done by telehealth with better internet.
-
Arnolds_world (@ColA_Patterson) reported
@abcnews . Listening to Albanese and his team about NBN policy and gets bumped by shouty #liarfromtheshire spinning his crap. Surely ABC could record and play competing press conferences in full.
-
James Newburrie (@DifficultNerd) reported
@SteVoices @Bruh11432599 @Optus This was a conversation about NBN and if you’re on cellular then your issue isn’t related to an NBN connection. I suggest you call Optus Faults on 1800 555 937 who will be able to help you out. Let me know how you get on.

@cheryl_kernot TBF They took Labor’s FttP NBN & built the world’s 💩iest national broadband network — and it cost more.
