NBN Issues Reports Near Pontville, State of Tasmania

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Pontville and nearby locations:

  • TasGreg Greg C (@TasGreg) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@BevanShields @AntonEnus "But has no modelling to support the claim" Just like Direct Action emission reduction or the cost of ALP NBN or the $660billion ALP debt blowout etc etc #FreePassToBS

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

  • feelingswell Robert Gavin (@feelingswell) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia @Farmgate138 I like that “experiencing some issues” have had NBN for some years now. We quickly found the baseline service was crap and upgraded to the next level - which is great when it works, but reading the fine print, NBN only warrant it will work for 2mins annually

  • daniel_dokovic Merry Marauder (@daniel_dokovic) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia WHY DOES MY INTERNET KEEP CUTTING OUT EVERY 10 MINUETS PLEASE HELP US

  • xander85 365 | KatyCat Grant 👁 WTT AU💍NZ (@xander85) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TPG_Telecom Sorry but that’s not good enough. If an outage is planned you have enough time to plan a notification. My NBN has not connected since last night.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

If I was NZ I would do the same thing! Rub our lazy Au Netflix binging faces in the fact we settled for a third rate access network #nbn @MRowlandMP @SenatorFifield @AUSenator

  • alfalfasocial Stacey Murray (@alfalfasocial) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AttardMon @NBN_Australia Apparently not, Mon. We're in "transition phase" so although @NBN_Australia has responsibility for the infrastructure, @Telstra is still managing the service but has to defer to NBN for any works. As you can imagine, that works well.

  • debbiedean1966 Debbie dean (@debbiedean1966) reported from Bendigo, State of Victoria

@Telstra After not getting service 2yrs I’ve paid for full package, foxtel which I rarely can use cause there is no internet .. after 22 yrs of being a customer they said I have 2 choices .. wait 3-4 months for nbn to be connected and get $20 off my bill ... or leave !!!!!

  • Singh02017 Anil Singh (@Singh02017) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Finally, after 10 days without internet @Telstra & @NBN_Australia managed to fix my cable broadband service yesterday! Thank you. @charlietech

  • guy_verkroost Guy Verkroost (@guy_verkroost) reported from Babinda, State of Queensland

@TonyHWindsor @gdgoz Am a comms tech, anyone with any knowledge of the existing copper network immediately knew what a disaster this was going to be once Abbot claimed it was in perfectly good condition. NBN management also utterly incompetent. No longer work in the industry as a consequence

  • Kaneosaurus Kane is Able (@Kaneosaurus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

This question from the 4 pixels I saw on screen is right, the Coalition NBN sucks #QandA

  • JesseEOlsen Jesse E. Olsen (@JesseEOlsen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Yeah, we’ll see. By the way, it’s kindof a jerk thing to do for @NBN_Australia to mess around and cancel, then leave it to the provider to clean up your mess. #notcool #berespecfful

  • LJPatton The Lucky General (@LJPatton) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@phil4change @R_Chirgwin @Pollytics If they ever do sell the #NBN we will create a massive “digital divide”. A non-government owner would cherry pick profitable areas and ignore the rest. People in the bush would be more buggered than they are now. We only had a universal telephone service because the PMG built it!
