I moved into #Telstra 7 days ago and I promise you their nbn is the worst. Speeds of 7 mbps is just unheard of. Piece of advice to anyone planning to join Telstra DON’T

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

@Telstra hi, my wife's NBN has been down for 2 days. She's rung several times only for her call to ring out. Pretty hard to run a business with no NBN.

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

@Internode once again our @NBN_Australia connection is out because it has rained. Please fix the physical connection to our house. It is NOT a problem in our house. It is a problem with your ancient corroded copper network. Please repair immediately.

Farrrrrrkk! When Fifield is questioned about the price of #NBN packages the best he can come up with is "they would cost more under Labor". It just rolls off their tongue so easily. "Take longer under Labor ", "cost more under Labor" and they're never questioned. Shits me.

@NBN_Australia that’d be great if every day from 2pm-11pm the wifi wasn’t so unbearably slow that I can’t even load a webpage. I went to South Korea and it really gave a perspective as to how horrifyingly slow NBN is

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

@JaneCaro @Telstra The whole nbn is a joke, mate who works for them told me ours will never be any good because the copper goes thru a flooded pit at the end of our street.

@Telstra spoke to a technician. Apparently a problem with the line. #NBN involved ( God help us). Appointment now booked for (Drum roll....) 14th April Seriously? I suppose the NBN technical support can't be faster than the #NBN.

Hey @NBN_Australia any chance your going to fix your issues in Everton Park 4053 any time this year. Three weeks of drop outs and your outage page says no works planned in the next 10 days.
-
Matt Stafford
(@Wraiyth) reported
@NBN_Australia Yes, it is back up today, but the fact that there was a ~8hr outage that wasn't acknowledged by NBN despite there being a tech looking at it, is definitely worrying and not a great experience trying to get information.

Hot tip if you are in Canberra and @iiNet offer their wireless NBN service - run! Pretty dreadful service, cannot stream TV and be on the computer at the same time. No response to emails, and their customer service line has a one hour wait 🤬

@DoctorKarl Most likely it's a problem at the pit near your house. The connections can get *****, particularly after rain; they don't tend to be well sealed. Report it to the NBN (via your ISP) and they'll send someone out to clean it.

@NBN_Australia how is a provider going to fix a fundamental infrastructure issue? The root cause of Australia having one of the worst broadband speeds (even donestic) in the developed world is the extremely poor network we have that is cobbled together from outdated tech.

@DoctorKarl Shannon-Hartley theorem yields the maximum amount of error-free digital data that can be transmitted over a communications channel with a specified bandwidth in the presence of noise. Copper S/N ratio is pretty well understood; Your NBN doesn’t just suck, it sucks with science.

@Telstra No actually you cant help , its a outage , 3 days now , but with the petty squabbling and game playing between telstra and nbn its the clients who suffer from lack of transparency and ridiculously long service calls …

@jonathannen Yeah. I found it weird to watch the speed tests repeatedly hit ~300mbps when I was forced to tether my entire house infra off my phone when NBN was down.
