I’m entering day 2 of a complete @NBN_Australia outage. My neighbours mostly work from home too and our mobile data coverage is poor. No updates. No idea what’s happening or when it’s likely to get fixed. Welcome to 2022

@NBN_Australia - For a communication company can you do something about the quality of communication from your staff. Getting a call on a really bad landline by a person with a heavy foreign accent wanting info from me similar to that of spam calls not a good start. 1/x

@weezmgk @TurnbullMalcolm Last week I was getting notifications about emergency work and that we’d experience “network degradation”. It seems that when the NBN is down people switch to 4G/5G and put pressure on that network too.

@Telstra They are now saying there was a network misalignment and that nbn is doing remore testing and if that doesnt work a technician is coming tomorrow

@StazziAU @NBN_Australia Fix it for good? You'll be lucky if they even show up, Caleb.

@MarcusHouse Well starlink is still unavailable in Far North Queensland. Website says 2022, last year it said 2021. I would have thought this area is perfectly rural for starlink’s intended purpose. And the NBN up here is very slow. And 5G? Whats that?

@ZDNet Confirms the #NBN is a dud. @NBN_Australia should be made to guarantee end-to-end service - just as car makers bear ultimate obligation to meet warranty provisions. Unsold #5G spectrum should be given to NBN Co and used to replace bad fixed wireless and satellite connections.

Nearly 4 weeks now without home internet and @NBN_Australia casually missed 3 dates to come finish the job they started. Zero contact and no explanation. Great service!

@NBN_Australia The technician advises that there is cable damage near a traffic island. A Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) permit is needed for civil works.

@briannasbell I got cellular so I have option of connecting to network but it’s too costly as need mobile on big 3 carriers. It’ll still call 000 if necessary even without connection or wifi/Bluetooth. For someone who doesn’t leave home and has good nbn that’s enough backup for me.
