@Scott_John @TaodeHaas First applied for NBN in March. After many false starts, broken appointments, interruptions, countless phone calls complaints , the whole show, it was finally connected in late April. It drops out at least once a day. It’s a nuisance I didn’t want, but had to have.

@NBN_Australia customer service experience is poor 👎 Worst decision ever to move to #nbn @NBN_Australia’s mission is to lift Australia’s digital capability... the reality is an epic fail.

@nataliesmilan That would frustrate me too, Natalie. If you are having service issues it's best to speak to your provider. They will be able to test the line to check for faults. If the fault is with nbn they will let us know and we will work hard to fix it. Let us know how you go. Thanks, Amy

World beating service from @NBN_Australia. My ISP has confirmed the "speed potential" for a new service is 45Mbps. "Please note that actual throughput speeds ([...]) will be different to your speed potential" AKA "ROFL! You'll never get 45Mbps"

@GribbleRC I ended up ditching NBN. Went with a 4G modem with Tangerine Telecom sim that uses Optus network. 100 bucks a month for 1,000GB speed varies A LOT. Never really unusable. Can go from 8Mbps to 150Mbps. Average would be 10. Antenna on roof pointed towards Griffith / Lake Wyangan

Extremely sad that I’m likely going to lose many of these things with my current housing situation. I moved into this house for a reason and I’ve loved it for 7 years (lack of insulation and occasional falling-down bits aside). Perfect lifestyle… old-style country home with NBN

@debboamerik @Safetyconundrum @Christhevamp Maybe if you still have ADSL and a line filter. All phones on NBN are mains electric, and unless you have a battery on your phone and NBN box - fail. Original question - I remember it as it was also my own phone growing up

@paulomalley @techAU And unlike the NBN you don’t have to use it if you want broadband & can’t get a good mobile service.

@mjrowland68 @australian @australiapost Previous chair of ABC was appointed a director of NBN by same minister & coincidentally was CEO of a company awarded a $100m NBN contract. ABCs coverage of NBN prior to last election was dismal. I recall VT stating NBN should be an election issue but her co-host changed subject.
