@Scott_John @TaodeHaas First applied for NBN in March. After many false starts, broken appointments, interruptions, countless phone calls complaints , the whole show, it was finally connected in late April. It drops out at least once a day. It’s a nuisance I didn’t want, but had to have.

@TweetrHatesMe I haven't, because I am poor and housebound in rural West Wales. When I made it clear in my email exchange to the JA pre-pandemic that I can't pay for myself, they literally stopped replying to me. Also in 2012 I'd received an email from NBN saying that 1/2

uploading video and being careful to not do anything else that might interrupt the upload certainly bites into a day - wouldn't be as much of an issue if I got the other 10Mbps of upload speed I pay for yet don't get because of copper. Thanks Malcolm. #nbn

@GumLeafWhistler There's definitely a fault in the line. Getting it escalated within NBN to investigate is like pulling teeth however, even with insider help.

@NBN_Australia Hey Amy, we found out why the service is so bad, part of the copper network further up the road is running along the ground under a twisted mess of branches.

so much for NBN. Since I hooked it up, & I had no choice, I have lost all mobile phone & emails. Can't even ring emergency. Anyone else?

I thought Amazon Web Services was down in my DC but then found my NBN was down with red light on internet as I could not ping from my machine past router - it is amazing how many things can go wrong at once - it takes a while to get to root cause - luckily I had logs over time

@ad_meliorem Thanks AM After my tweet a couple of days ago, about NBN being down, I received a large amount of (unsolicited) unhelpful & ill-informed advice I realised how little most people know in just basic terminology around Internet and the options/reality, if you don't live in the city
