@Scott_John @TaodeHaas First applied for NBN in March. After many false starts, broken appointments, interruptions, countless phone calls complaints , the whole show, it was finally connected in late April. It drops out at least once a day. It’s a nuisance I didn’t want, but had to have.

@PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia #Fraudband just an announcement no delivery, what your really doing is spinning, rewriting history, prop duplicating failed network, retrofitting! Hiding the biggest policy, infrastructure disasters in history. Making us pay more for fixed lines we can no longer connect.

What's more important? Our replacement of the telecommunications system across Australia (i.e. phone copper replacd by broadband fibre), or switching from diesel electric, to nuclear submarines? Yet LNP said $50Bn over a decade for fibre NBN was too expensive and too slow.

@JoshuaWithers Hell yes. I generally find the NBN experience to be a good one, but it does vary. I'm one of the lucky ones with FTTC, and not many have it better. Cable/ADSL upload speeds were deliberately terrible, and obviously dialup was pure hell. Memories!

I uploaded 72GB of data for a project today and it only took a few hours. I’m reflecting on that today as we berate the NBN, and government internet policy, the speed of computers, and how things are too slow, or too expensive. The first MP3 I downloaded in 1997 went overnight.

7 days since @telstra @NBN_Australia installation and still NOT working. Looking at pole, connections don't even have weather boots, pathetic install. If I did that in private industry I'd be stacked.

@Nowsthetime3 @surfink66 Whitlam had a cyclone in the NT. Scomo had a disaster in a state he has to wait to be asked for help. Mind you the ADF was in there from the get go. There are some troops in Lismore. So could respond instantly. Flood smashed the NBN so there's no comms. Major f up

@drajm Agree that the cost is too much. Should be no more than $60 a month for 100/20 rather than $80 to 90. I've not had issues with drop outs on HFC nbn but I've been with Telstra, origin (which is ABB) and superloop. I recall one of the reasons for the cost blow out...

@NBN_Australia Drop out more, regularly fail to deliver promised speeds, and refuse to connect to servers/hosts in Victoria randomly. Stream less. Game less. The nbn™ network is made for less (seriously, our connectivity is hilariously poor).

@Jawdeeman @MikeCarlton01 SBS On Demand has lots of programs i like, binged all 33 episides of Danish cop show Unit One. Trouble free downloading to my Android tablet, Optus wifi via NBN, casting to my tv. The annoying issue is the advertising .. but it is free.

@NBN_Australia @KerrieTregenza What about if you've had an NBN tech out, they have said the fault was with the NBN, but to give you 3 weeks to fix it. Is it in the "too hard" bin?
