@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

@BevanShields @AntonEnus "But has no modelling to support the claim" Just like Direct Action emission reduction or the cost of ALP NBN or the $660billion ALP debt blowout etc etc #FreePassToBS

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

@NBN_Australia 1. These slow speeds are common across different service providers in the district. 2. The many times I’ve pursued this topic it becomes a duck-shoving exercise: NBN Co. says it’s the service provider; the service provider says it’s lack of capacity at the NBN tower.

@NBN_Australia No internet in Ferntree Gully today. Any chance you can provide more details rather than the unplanned outage message on the website. Maybe something like a time frame would be great

@NBN_Australia any updates on the outage in Ferntree Gully? Would be great to know the cause and expected ETA when services will be restored. FYI, I’ve already checked your outages website so no need to copy the link back to me.

@twcau yep - hopefully they will fix this up one day.. they have nbn enterprise symmetrical plans (up to 10Gb) but they cost ridiculous amounts.. meanwhile in NZ they have 8gb/8gb now for price we pay for 50/20..

@BettyTootellF @NBN_Australia @Telstra Ferntree Gully for me. According to my modem's error messages, it's an issue preventing my Telstra Smart Modem from receiving a DHCP IP address lease (so either a physical fault, a routing fault, or a DHCP server fault).

@TurnbullMalcolm @samanthamaiden @KateEllis22 I’m sure there’s a slow, clunky NBN joke just waiting to be written to help Malcolm here.

@XTweeptweep01 @heidimur Don't spread misinformation idiot. They should be able to do that if the federal government rolled out their vaccines better than they rolled out NBN

@NBN_Australia Thanks Darren, appreciate your response. I have been checking and it’s been down all day. Understand issues happen however, it’s hard to believe that an issue can take 1-2 to fix. It’s not like we’re a third world country.

@DiWebster Don’t forget Howard and children over board, Rudd and FTTP NBN (the good 1 that a few suburbs got), Gillard and NDIS, Abbott and FTTN NBN (the crap 1 most of us are stuck with), Turnbull and cigars, and Morrison and corruption.
